Made an appointment because I am in excruciating pain. They wanted me to wait two days for the appointment. They finally moved it to the next day. The pain got even worse less than an our later. I asked for pain meds. Couldn't give me any because I wasn't a patient. But I WAS a patient a few years ago. Not good enough. If you have an emergency stay far, far, away from them. They don't care. Not sure what I am going to do now. No point in going to my appointment tomorrow if they don't care. read more

Dentist was great and did a good job. Billing however was atrocious. two people told me my insurance covered everything then 6 months later I got billed. When i questioned this someone hung up on me and sent the bill to collection agency. I asked the collections agency for proof and they have done nothing but continue to contact me. I have filed complaints with the Ohio attorney General's office and the Ohio Dental association department. read more

Nothing against Dr. Sedon, but this office is a SCAM. They told me I needed to pay for a procedure, of which I did. However, the insurance company also covered the procedure. I requested a refund of my credit balance, and have received nothing but scam answers. "Only the home office can do it". It will take 4-6 weeks for a check to be issued. Then in 6 weeks, "you turned in your request right before the holidays (it was on December 19th), so it will take longer. Then, we will follow up on it. Then, we will expedite it. Then, they couldn't put it against your credit card (never said they were go to), which would have only taken a couple of days, so they gave it to Account Payable and it will NOW take another 4-6 weeks. Total SCAM office process. I can't speak to anyone who has the authority to get me my money. They don't have a phone number for the "home office". Ever hear of such crap? NEEDLESS TO SAY, NEVER GOING BACK TO THIS OFFICE. read more

My family has been patients of Dental Works for 12+ years. BEWARE There is new ownership. They are scheduling out 5 months and if you need to speak to someone, they will not answer the phone and you will be transferred to a call center in Belize (not a joke). I was billed for my daughter's cleaning because she had met her deductible due to her wisdom teeth extraction. The cleaning was in December of 2021. I just received the bill for this in October of 2023. At one point, I established a three part payment plan and I am sending the payment to somewhere in Minnesota??? It took over two weeks for them to cash my check and after I already mailed the second payment (amongst several calls to the call center- remember, no one in Medina answers the phone). I have now recieved a letter that I have been sent to a collections agency. I have had it with this company. Looking forward to a local, reputible dentist in Medina Ohio. read more

I was very disappointed that I was told I couldn't get the regular teeth cleaning that I originally called and made the appointment for. I was told I could only get the periodontal treatment. I would be extremely cautious of using this Dental Practice! Last Saturday, I had an Appointment with one of their Dentists (which was booked 6 months in advance). This was my normal Dentist that I have always seen since I started going there, and who was the reason I continued to go to their Practice. It wasn't brought to my attention, until after my cleaning was completed, that my regular Dentist wasn't even working that day. I was never notified in advamce, and was shocked when a different Dentist, who I had never met before, walked in to do my exam. What was even worse, this Demtist never even introduced themselves, or even let me know they were actualky a Dentist filling in, etc. I thought it was another Hyginist coming in to discuss my cleaning. My review is based on office staff performance, not dental service. Needed a gum graft for receding gums. At consult, waited almost 2 hours for a consult that should have taken 30 mins. Scheduled procedure. They call to reschedule. Day of procedure I was called 90 minutes before my appointment for them to inform me they did not receive approval for pre-authorization and I would need to pay $34.90. What they meant was $3,490 for entire procedure. I arrive and they give me the full cost, then say pay $900. Turns out they did not process my insurance early enough prior to surgery day. They had over a month to process my pre-auth claim. After calling my insurance to verify coverage, both prices they quoted me were incorrect. Estimate out of pocket was around $250. I rescheduled meetings and engagements to accommodate this appt. Office staff is highly disorganized and incompetent. Office staff seen making personal calls and playing on cellphones. Be careful of deceptive billing, the bill you get does not always match what they send to insurance. They sent me an invoice for one amount and then turned around and invoiced insurance a much higher amount. When insurance would only pay an amount higher than the invoice I received but lower than the amount Dental Works sent to insurance, they want me to pay a balance that is more than the original invoice. read more
