My appointment was for 11am, I arrived a few minutes early to get through the paperwork. Moments after completing it, I was called to the back where they took x-rays and then got me settled in a room. Dr. Martin is the primary dentist and he's got decades of experience - practiced in D.C. for about 15 years before he opened his current practice and location 8 years ago. I found him to be professional but also friendly and personable. The office staff are polite and efficient as they explained to me how the appointments are held and what I owed after insurance coverage. All in all, it was a pleasant experience; I was out of there 1 hour and 15 minutes after I walked in, got x-rays and a cleaning - now that's what I'm looking for, fast and professional. One of my pet peeves is having an appointment somewhere, showing up and having to wait extra time before I get in the back, then waiting more time to be seen. I'll be back.

Dr. Adensanya and his new partnrr Doctor (forgot her name, apologies) were both extremely patient with me after I explained to them that I have pretty severe anxiety surrounding doctors and dentists. I had a procedure today and Dr. Adensanya and his team were extremely comforting, supportive, and understanding, all while doing an excellent job on the procedure itself. Talk about multitasking! I would highly recommend giving them a try, especially if you're uneasy at the dentist like I've come to be. Can totally feel the warmth! The front desk staff is very kind and helpful. The only critical feedback is that I was almost accidentally charged twice. I paid for today's procedure after my cleaning in October, because they explained that they prefer payments ahead. Today, as I was leaving, they requested the same payment again. I told them I paid on 10/31 and they were able to find the payment. But if I had forgotten or misunderstood, I may have been overcharged. I'm certain it would have been returned if that was thr case, but I think its important for patients to be aware of what they paid, when, and which card they used to eliminate any potential hiccups! I don't like to complain but I was really disappointed. I felt a push to reschedule with whomever for my next appointment. I was told I had to wait until September 2023 to get in with Careen. Obviously there is a shortage of hygienists. Who's to say that I won't get bumped again? This is not the first time this happened. An associate did my crown before the pandemic. I get my appointments done every six months, and I used to get postcard reminders in the mail. Now, I get text message reminders and so far they have been flawless! They accept most of the popular insurance companies, and rescheduling is never a problem. Gary Ludka is the main doctor here, and the hygienist that always takes care of me is Angela. They are extremely friendly individuals, and they always ask how I am doing and make sure I have been taking care of myself. Angela holds fun conversation while cleaning and makes the experience much less of a bore. They tend to remember anything you tell them there, so you know they really do care. Routine cleanings typically take about an hour (depends on how well you take care of your teeth!) and you always leave with floss, a toothbrush, and toothpaste.
