They Treated Me Cruelly! Intense pain! My experience at Dentistry of Bellevue in November 2024 was truly awful. Dr. Khurana acted overconfident and even belittled other dentists, but his actual skill and care told a very different story. During treatment, he severely damaged my tooth (#18), breaking it far below the gum line and making it completely unsalvageable. He did not inform me that an accident had occurred -- instead, he sealed the tooth improperly and simply suggested I see an endodontist. About a week later, I developed intense pain. When I visited another endodontist in January 2025, I was told that the filling had been done poorly, leaving holes that exposed the nerves. Even worse, the tooth was damaged by Dr. Khurana so severely that a root canal was no longer a wise choice. I ultimately had to undergo extraction and bone grafting, and I still haven't received an implant because my insurance was exhausted on examinations, extraction, bone grafting, and follow-up care in earlier 2025. The endodontist confirmed that the tooth had been left incompletely sealed, which led to infection and months of pain. See attached photos. Dr. Khurana's clinic billed over $3,500 for a deep cleaning and two fillings -- one of which directly caused the loss of my tooth. This used up my entire 2024 dental insurance benefit, leaving me unable to receive needed treatment until the following year. I had to rely on painkillers for two months. Although Dr. Khurana promised compensation, he only refunded $230 in May 2025 to my 2024 insurance after repeated requests. The small refund was not only useless (since it applied to the prior year) but frankly insulting. The hygienist, Rosie, was also unprofessional, dismissive, and rude. During a December 2024 follow-up, when I told her that tooth #18 was still in severe pain, she brushed it off as "normal" and showed no concern or patience. I'm sharing this so others can avoid the same distress. I strongly recommend avoiding Dr. Khurana and the hygienist Rosie if you care about your well-being -- let alone value honesty, competence, and compassion in dental care. I have gone to them a couple of times and lately it feels like they are just looking to sell and squeeze the most money out of you possible. DO NOT GO TO THIS CLINIC! KEEP YOUR TEETH AWAY FROM DR. GURPREET KHURANA!! Reception and the female dentist are good though. However, this was the worst dental experience I've ever had with the male dentist, Dr. Khurana. He is unsafe, unprofessional, careless, dishonest, and full of mistakes. He damaged my nearby tooth, cut open my gum, but didn't finish the extraction, gave me the wrong prescription, and then lied in the treatment report. Before the procedure, the dentist said my lower wisdom tooth was "a bit deep. If I were you, I would wait for a few months for easier extraction and a smaller wound, but it's still fine to remove today if you want to." But he never clearly explained the nerve risk. During the upper extraction, I clearly felt the tool slip and hit the neighboring tooth. When the anesthesia wore off, I noticed pain and a visible chip. For the lower left wisdom tooth, he cut open my gum and started loosening the tooth. After several attempts at failing to extract the tooth, he stopped halfway, saying it was too close to the nerve. So, he ended up not completing the extraction, but even after he treated the wound, it continued to bleed. That mistake could have been avoided since the X-ray before surgery already showed the nerve position, but he never mentioned it before the surgery. At the follow-up, he admitted there was a chip but denied responsibility, claiming it was from an "old filling." That is absolutely untrue for me, as I remember clearly that my tooth was not like that before surgery. My girlfriend, who witnessed everything, politely asked if he would take responsibility and pay for the bill from another clinic if another clinic confirmed the damage, since I no longer felt safe and comfortable proceeding with any treatment in their clinic. He replied rudely, "No, no, he is the patient, please let him talk to me," and rushed out of the room. Left both my girlfriend and me feeling upset and disrespected. His attitude was completely ridiculous. Worse, my antibiotic prescription was wrong -- incorrect dosage and quantity -- so the pharmacy told me they couldn't fill it until the clinic corrected it. Despite reminding them several times, it took more than one day before they corrected it. I had no antibiotics for almost 30 hours after surgery, which is dangerous for an open wound in the mouth. Later, the "Treatment Letter" from the dentist contained false information: it had the wrong name, claimed a free temporary restoration that never happened, and omitted the fact that my gum had already been cut. It also falsely claimed I had been fully informed of nerve risk before surgery, which is false. He only mentioned "it might be smoother if done later," but not that it could cause nerve injury. Throughout the whole visit, including the previous exam day and the surgery day, the dentist kept running between multiple patients. I was always left waiting for 20-30 minutes multiple times with my mouth open. It was painful, exhausting, and unprofessional. When he finally returned, he seemed rushed, careless, and impatient. I spent a total of 2 hours on the exam day, and another 2 hours the other day for surgery. Overall, this clinic is unsafe, dishonest, and careless. I would never recommend anyone to go there, especially to avoid Dr. Khurana -- it was one of the most stressful and painful dental experiences I've ever had. read more

Alex, Traci, and Dr. Khurana were all amazing and extremely professional, and my sore cracked tooth is now gone and I'm on the way to healing up with the fine work now completed. Having been in need lately of dental work with continual tooth pain flare-ups and infections managed by Tylenol ibuprofen and Orajel 4X to their practical limits while cruising around lately I've been noticing the little promotional poster placard signs and took a picture of one. This is my third visit and I will continue to be a patient here. The staff is always friendly, from the front desk all the way to the dentist. I feel they do a very thorough job with the exam, x-rays and cleaning. My first visit as a new patient was very long since they were building a whole new file for me, so be aware of that or ask how long your visit might be if you are short on time. My only issue with the office actually has to do with parking. I believe there are less than 10 spots in the lot and there is no street parking nearby. I asked where additional parking is, and the receptionist advised me it was essentially around the block parallel to their street and you would take some stairs down to the parking lot. I haven't needed to do this yet, but I'm sure some people will from time to time. All in all my experience with this business has met my expectations and provides a solid service. read more

I've gone to Bellevue dentistry on and off for a few years mainly because I am horrible at making appointments. Every single time I visit, I leave happy and satisfied that I decided to come back. I was able to get an appointment early in the morning before my college classes about 7AM. When I arrived, check in was a breeze. The women running the front desk are very kind and very cooperative. Tea, coffee, and water were available to me while I was waiting to be seated with a dental assistant. Once I got called back I sat down and was able to go over my insurance thoroughly properly to make sure that I was set for the rest of the appointment. I got some x-rays done which went well. Afterwards I had a cleaning and so I moved to the waiting room for a couple minutes and then was moved to a new chair to have a dental cleaning. The girl who did the cleaning was SO sweet and perky and just a ray of sunshine. I appreciated that she was completely OK with me almost falling asleep because I was so comfortable. On my way out I was given a package with a toothbrush, toothpaste, some Chapstick, and some floss. Also, I was able to make my next appointment with the same staff who welcomed me, when I walked in earlier. The friendly staff, easy check in process, complementary beverages, and genuine experience is what I look forward to when coming back in July for my next cleaning! Thank you! read more

Although the staff is quite nice and our experience with routine cleaning was good, we would warn against the diagnosis (one was totally unnecessary) and quality of root canals, which happened to several people we know. Get a second opinion, and go elsewhere for more intricate work. read more

The staff at dentistry of Bellevue is so incredibly personable I've never had a dentist that makes me feel like they care so much about my well being. Dr. khurana has made himself available whenever I've had pain in my mouth he takes care of me right away fitting me into his already busy schedule at a moments notice. I feel like a family member every time I come in such a warm and friendly environment. Whatever the situation they are always willing to work with me to make sure my needs are taken care of and that there is a plan in place to take care of all my dental needs despite costs and have even offered to work out payment plans so that finances are not an added stress. Unethical and Dishonest Practices I had been a patient of Dentistry of Bellevue from Dr. Preston days. Since his retirement, Dr. Khurana took over my care. January of this year, I went to the clinic to re-crown one tooth Dr. Khurana did years back which had broken off At the time of first of two visits Dr. Khurana told me in no uncertain terms that because the crown was less than 5 years old, my insurance won't cover it (not a word was mentioned that they'd bill my insurance anyways) and I need to pay the full cost. So I paid the full cost with FSA and cash. When FSA requested me to substantiate the transaction, I emailed the clinic beginning of April for detailed info of my treatment. Three email requests later I finally got a phone call from a staff informing me that a copy of ledger would be emailed to me, and also "surprise, surprise" $607 of credit is due to me and a check will be mailed. It turns out, according to the statement, they not only billed my insurance company, they're paid $1132.40 on February 21. And NOT a word to me of this payment until mid-April when I put in my request. Thanks to FSA at least I've got $607 of my money back. read more
