Such a cool brewery! The space is beautiful, with lots of comfortable and unique seating. There are quite a few books available if you want quiet and privacy. I sampled a couple paler beers, and went with the bartenders recommendation. My beer was refreshing and easy to drink, and I enjoyed sampling the different beers on tap. This is a must-stop for craft beer lovers- it comes off a little hipster, but there are all kinds of people here. I look forward to coming back! read more

Fun place! We came with our toddler to check it out thinking it was more food and beers but it was mostly beer. Still, great seating and outdoor space. The guy working there recommended us a great beer to try based on what we said we liked. Didn't feel weird having our kid with us and there was even another lady with her baby. Came in at 8pm and tried to order a flight. Was told they already cleaned the boards because it was almost closing time (still had 1 hour?) and we couldn't order one. That was disappointing, but we ordered 1 drink instead. Tried to sit in a certain area and as soon as I sat down, I was told I couldn't sit there because the couch was closed up for the night also. What? Rude rude service and will never come back here. I'm glad I did come though because I was so put off by the servers rudeness that I left and went next door and the atmosphere and drinks were way better and I'm happy I stumbled upon it. This new brewery is a great addition to this part of Denton. They have a really great beer selection and I'm happy to see Pinot Grigio among the wine offerings instead of the perfunctory Chardonnay-only option. My only issue is that some of the beers are offered in smaller quantities for the same price as what you get elsewhere (e.g., Oak Street pours a 16 oz Velvet Hammer for $5 and here it's 8 oz). But that's one beer, and there are plenty of other tasty beers to choose from--and some you can't get anywhere else (hello, Clown Shoes Crasher in the Rye). The space is open but cozy--there's a reading corner, a couple intimate spaces including a small private room that would still be good for small groups. Every single person who works there is positively delightful to talk to, eager to help, and knowledgeable to boot. Everyone seems like they want to be there and enjoys working there. The owners are frequently present and chatting up the customers to see what people enjoy and how they can improve. They are not offering up their own brews just yet, but I understand within the next couple weeks they will be. I'm very much looking forward to trying them. And for what it's worth, I've never found the music to be anything but palatable for all tastes--I think every once in a while on a slow weeknight, a little diversity might be on the table, and that's exactly what one should expect from a bad ass Denton bar. read more

Great service from the bartender. The beer was also great, not what I'd expect an IPA to be, but still a flavorful beer. I've been to more than 90 breweries, so I've seen my fair share, and this one has all the things I love - Cool patio, games, dog friendly, varied and ample seating, food nearby, nice variety of beers, good service, and clean bathrooms. Looking forward to making this a regular pit stop on my travels up and down the I-35 corridor. Conversations are lively, yet casual- filled with Denton charm. Balanced beer selection: mix of local and other gems. Absolutlely wonderful. This venue is what I love in a brew pub. From cozy nooks to hunker down in, to fun board games. Oh and their beer selection is yummy and thoughtfully chosen. Add in a friendly staff that seems to love this place with a passion, and you have a perfect place to spend a few hours. We came for the Beer Olympics and could not have had a better time. This is the kind of place you hope is here forever. Denton has better than average beer type venues but this place.. .wow. Also, the Bearded Monk is just across the patio and between the two of them, you are living the beer lovers dream. read more

This is a nice place to just sit back drink craft beer and relax. The place is decorated so cute and there are games all over. There's a place to play darts, an outside patio area and food trucks outside. They may serve food but I'm not sure about that. The staff is so nice. We bring my mom from Cali here when she comes because she loves it too. They have a good wine selection for her. Just an all around great place to go! read more

I'm not really a drinker, but I love this place for the service and ambience. It's kind of warm, rustic hipster with wood tables and benches, couches, large windows, mounted metal steer heads and board games. They have locally brewed sparkling sake that is DELICIOUS. We had the pomegranate one. I came with my boyfriend for the newlywed game night, which was very casual and pretty fun. They allow outside food, which is nice because their snack menu is really limited (pizza and other cheese based things) We will definitely come again. My husband and I came here one day after rock climbing. The beer selection is great and we love the pizza next door! We happened to come in on a Monday when they were having trivia night and we had a great time. This place is just amazing. I love the staff and management there. They always go above and beyond to make you feel welcomed and they learn who you are quick (or I just drink to much ). Always a blast and their in house beers are LIT! I'm not a hipster beer drinker or an IPA or craft beer kind of gal. But I haven't had a beer there they make in house that i don't like yet!
