I was definitely nervous day of but Damon eased those feelings once we got started. Damon gave us so much great information regarding how to get away from dangerous situations, how to stay alert and aware of our surroundings, what could happen if I was in a bad situation - lots of hands-on training and step-by-step instructions. Damon was easy to talk to, listened intently to our questions and answered them thoroughly with real life examples. I hope I never have to use these newly acquired skills but I know if I'm ever put in a life-threatening situation, I'll be prepared. I HIGHLY recommend his class! I can't wait to take the next one!

I have been training at VX Marksmanship since 2012 and, as a testament to just how good the…read moreinstruction is at VX. I have taken every class that this facility has offered and participated in almost all of their special events, including an extreme long range shoot where we took 50 BMG and 338 Lapua rifles out beyond 3,000 yards. This is a training facility that places a strong emphasis and learning basic shooting fundamentals to the point where they are reflexive. Furthermore, the curriculum is constantly evolving, which emphasizes the value of retaking specific courses for further learning. I couldn't imagine training anywhere else. As a bonus, the membership program offers discounts on training, some free special events, and even some opportunities for private land hunting. The bottom line is that training at this facility is not cheap, but you are getting a very high quality product. Training with firearms at VX Marksmanship is comparable to taking swim lessons with Michael Phelps or boxing lessons from Floyd Mayweather: You won't find a better experience anywhere else.

Dually noted, at times they have to deal with people whom cant follow rules put in place for safety reasons. For this reason some arent utterly laid back: understandable right! Ive always found that the target backboards to be in good shape. The benches at 25 and 50 are good and sturdy. The 100 yard benches in my opinion wobble a bit, but are acceptable unless your neighbor is shooting a magnum caliber. I do wish they had a 200 yard range. I have found myself driving to decatur to shoot beyond 100. When its cold out they typically have a burn barrel with a fire going. *There are numerous Donald Trump signs on property, snowflakes beware. Get some wobble out of 100 yard benches, add a 200 yard lane, and my rating goes to 5 stars.
