Called and spoke to Mike & let him know what I was inquiring about and told him my brother(who is a vet) is coming to the store. Upon my brothers arrival him and friend (who are both vets) were profiled and had a K9 smell them (which was brought from the back of the store with 3 other guys). After doing this he was told that the item he was inquiring about was also TSA approved to be sent to Africa. This is unacceptable & I highly recommend staying out of this store if you're of any type of minority wether your a veteran or not. read more

They had what I wanted 380 acp, that's good. The price was not great but ok at $19 for 50 pieces. Their quality control was lacking as the box of 50 had different cartridges within - some steel case most brass. Their friendliness was nil. They could barely talk with me and made me feel unwelcome. I'd go back if I had to but I would check elsewhere first. Maybe if they read this they'll get friendlier and more welcoming. read more

Well, I went into Denver Bullets this morning and bombarded those guys with a ton of suppressor questions, and they answered every single one of them. In the end, I wrote out a check for the purchase of the Silencerco Osprey, and shook their hands. Note to others going into Denver Bullets. This is a Class Three gun shop. Class 3 items consist of suppressors (Silencers), Short-Barreled Rifles (SBR), Short-Barreled Shotguns (SBS -barrel under 18") and full-auto machine guns. They deal in NFA weapons -nothing in there will be cheap. If you want ammunition, go to WalMart, your local gun shop, or shop online. read more

Awesome ammo suppliers as well as fantastic customer service. Can't say enough about Eddie and Von. I've purchased multiple types of Russian surplus here (always in stock) as well as rare tracer ammo they make in the shop. All of their tracers light up nice and bright. Can't understand why I was told the cheapest 9mm ammo they offer is .24 a bullet. When the cheapest I've found was .14 free shipping. And dicks sporting goods (rip off) .22 a bullet. Despite the owner being a fellow Marine, I wasn't impressed with the ammo, the setup of the shop, or the pricing. Before I start my critique, please realize that 5.56 and .223 aren't the same, no matter what your homie Joe-Bob has told you. I won't get in to all of the specifics, but we can agree that 5.56 is more expensive than .223. That said, I purchased some supposed "M193" from Denver Bullets, which is typically 55 grain 5.56x45 ammunition. After paying roughly $0.38 per round, which is pricey for M193, I was less-than-happy to discover that the rounds were all stamped ".223". 5.56 brass has thicker walls than .223, hence 5.56 is more expensive to manufacture. Yes, any rifle capable of firing 5.56 can handle .223, but that's besides the point. Don't sell me .223 at 5.56 prices and expect me to come back. I would've liked to be able to support this local business, but it looks like I'll be doing my shopping online at SGAmmo. read more

I had experience with Denver bullets last year when the ammo "frenzy" was just starting to develop. I initially called and asked about .223 and was told they had 1000 rounds for $330. At the time it was a great deal, by about $75. I was told they just went out of stock but I should call back at the end of the week. I did, and was told they were out of stock and to call back the next week. I was surprised that they never offered to put me on a waiting list. In any case I did this for a couple of weeks and then decided I would just drive down there and see what was going on. When I got there, they said they were still out if stock, but I saw some 556 in the glass case. My rifle is chambered for both rounds so I grabbed 500 rounds of the 556. I finally asked about getting on a waiting list. The old guy at the desk (can't remember his name now, but he is the guy who always answers the phone and always is at the front) he told me the orders were rolling in and they couldn't keep up with demand. I told him that was understandable and said I would be fine getting on the wait list which he said was about 4 weeks out. "No problem" I said. And agreed to check back in a few weeks. He wrote my name down on a sticky note, which I thought was weird. A couple weeks later I had not heard anything back so i called him back. The same guy answered the phone and proceeded to tell me that he didn't see my name on his list, but he "did recognize my phone number"!?!? I was frustrated and asked if I could get back in the list, and he said "no, we aren't taking any more names on the list." I was not happy. I drove down to the store and talked to him directly. The place is an unorganized mess and I was not surprised to find out they "lost" my name. My guess is that the price of 223 ammo was rising so fast, that he dropped all the people off the list to whom he promised 33¢ a round because he could make a lot more money with new customers who were willing to pay more. I understand business, but you don't treat your customers like that. In any case I talked him into putting me back on the list and left. 9 months later I still haven't received a call- but I did call back and he was happy to sell 1000 rounds for $800 now. I promptly slammed the phone. I will never go back there again and will never endorse their product. Which brings me to my next point. This summer I loaded 30 rounds of the Denver bullets ammo into my brand new sig m4, and had a misfire about every 3 rounds. It was horrible. The cartridge was getting stuck and jamming the slug down into the casing. I cleaned out my rifle and loaded 30 rounds of federal 223 and smoothly ripped through the whole mag without a problem. The problem was the cheap ammo. My chamber was full of gun powder pellets and was a mess. I wouldn't dare put this ammo in my gun ever again, and would urge others to look elsewhere. My guess is that I got sold some pretty terrible reloads which I paid "new ammo" price for. In the end, terrible customer service and terrible product. What else is there?? The glowing ambiance of the store? Nope. It is a scattered crap hole of an office/showroom/warehouse. Use armslist for your a no needs, skip the hassle here. read more

I purchased a suppressor from Tx and had it transferred here through Denver Bullets. After completing the tax stamp process and getting the suppressor, I found out the suppressor didn't have the 5/8th x 24 threads is was supposed to have. It was metric. I spent months talking to the company in Tx without getting anywhere. Eddie, of Denver Bullets, stepped in and saved the day. He was able to get a replacement suppressor sent and I was allowed to keep the original incorrectly threaded one. He spent hours on the phone talking to the AFT about the correct way to handle it. I'm sure he was tired of talking to me, the company in Tx and the ATF, but I'm glad he did. I can't thank him enough for all the help. read more
