Worst experience I have ever had in a gun shop. Jackie at the front desk has a serious attitude problem and lack of customer service. I will be telling everyone I know to not shop here. You're only as strong as your weakest link. Fellas in the back are great, but Jackie's attitude takes away from all of that. I even watched a customer leave and politely told her to have a nice day etc and she couldn't even be bothered to give that customer a thank you or goodbye. Unreal. UPDATE: response from the owner shows a lack of accountability. Not once did I have any negative interactions with anyone else but her. You can go on and on and make up lies but there are multiple reviews similar to mine stating she has a terrible attitude. Ordered a shotgun online and had it sent here. Ended up spending quite a bit to get it transferred over to me. Just some simple paperwork and a 3 day wait but was charged $34. Ugh! Still, all in all a pretty simple process. Spot is a bit hard to find, but the service was friendly enough. Parking is a small private lot at the end of a dead end. Overall, I would have my weapon shipped here again. Just wish the price wasn't so high for a simple transfer. read more

Springs Armory sold a S&W EZ-9mm for me with extra Mags. It took a while but they got it done at a good price and only a $45.00 fee. I also bought a Hellcat Pro from them at a fair price. So I know they treat me well because they're a wonderful bunch of people. That said, when so many other places in town had no ammo, Springs Armory always seemed to be working hard to get ammo. I've been coming here for years and have always had a great experience. The guys in the back have always been awesome. Today is the only bad experience I have ever had and it pretty much makes me just never want to go there again. I was picking up a rifle that had a muzzle brake put. These guys are great for that, quick work and great price. So I go to check out and hand the invoice to the woman at the desk. She looks at it and goes "Where's the price?" I'm like I don't know. She pushes the paper back at me and and goes "You need to go find the person that did the work and have them put the price and initial by it" My first thought was hey, I don't work here and that's your job. But because I already in a shitty mood and didn't want to cause a scene I just walked over to the guys and had them do it. I did something that wasn't my job because I don't work their so this woman wasn't troubled to look up or turn away from her computer to ask the guys standing 5 feet away to solve this. Here's the kicker, Tammy the owner was standing next to her. There are other places in the Springs to get Mag kits and buy silencers. I went in yesterday evening to have some sight work done and (I know it's cliche') I couldn't be happier. As I walked in I was greeted by a woman (Tammy ?) who welcomed me to the shop, asked what I needed, and directed me to Spencer. Spencer had the work done in minutes while I looked around to find a Yugo SKS and a Garand with a 2M s/n I really would not mind adding to my collection. Ammo is priced similarly to other stores although the inventory isn't what it would be at those other stores which is to be expected; it's simply a smaller location. read more

UPDATE AS OF DEC 2018: Decided to mosey in to see if this store has gotten any better. ABSOLUTELY NOT! I walk in, and every clerk felt it was better for business to continue to hold BS conversations with their buddies instead of asking the customer walking in if they need help. Must be a store where only friends get helped... I'll take my $$$ to Family Firearms instead where the prices and services are A+ This place used to be the go-to store in the Springs, mostly because the owners were behind the counter and treated their customers with respect. Now they decentralized that, and hired some pathetic employees who think they are God's gift to the firearms industry. They dont even know what kind of FFL they are working under.. Definitely not a manufacturer even though the are building SBRs! Its comical how arrogant these trolls are behind the counter when they talk to customers, especially the fat one. He immediately tried to upsell to a private looking to buy a pistol. Looks like I will take my business elsewhere because this store sucks now. This is by far one of the best gun stores in town! Why? Because they have the friendliest, most knowledgeable and professional staff! Not only did they guys take their time to show me their own personal rigs/attachments, but they also referred me to a place that had a good setup. This place also sells parts kits for high cap magazines, outstanding if you need something for your AK/AR/M1 by Magpul. Did I mention a variety of tactical systems? Everything from SBRs, high caliber rifles, AKs, ARs, M25 clones and accessories are available. The great thing is none of the staff here are "tacticool" operator wanabee geardos, they know what they have and will help you pick a product. Needed help from a FFL this morning to send a handgun to Taurus and arrange for Taurus to return it to me through an FFL. The store where I bought it wouldn't allow their FFL to help me ship (even though I'm required to get FFL signoff) - they are one of the BIG BOX gun stores on the S end of Colorado Springs. The other BIG BOX gun store near them wouldn't help me either. OK Then...I see how this works - I'll take my business to Springs Armory. And I'll tell my friends this story. I took my brand new AR10 to the springs armory to have a floating handguard put on. First the guy said he could do it but I had to sign their "standard agreement" that stated they were not gunsmiths and if they mess up your gun its not their fault. I figured how hard could it be? Well they had some problems and cross treaded the hand guard treads. But its ok he said "they fixed it with a dermal tool". Other than that, their prices, and the fact they treat you like an idiot, it's exactly the kind of customer service I've come to expect in Colorado Springs. My husband ordered some guns and had Springs Armory as the receiving store. Prior to the guns arriving, my husband deployed after receiving some short notice orders. The guns arrived and Springs Armory contacted me to inform me our goods were there. Here is where life got difficult. Since my husband is military and I am not from Colorado, I had no proof of residency. I literally jumped through so many hoops to prove I lived here and was a resident. It was a headache but after several more hoops, I was able to show I was a resident. I went to pick up my goods and waited only to be told I had been denied the right to purchase a fire in the state of Colorado. I was informed about the appeal process and promptly sent everything over.After 30 days of waiting to hear back about my appeal, I was informed my appeal had been approved ( whatever they were denying me for wasn't even on my background! That's a whole other story). I happily picked up everything today. I can not speak for the other staff members other than Tammy, who is the only one I worked with, was great. Actually great is an understatement. Through all my frustrations (and trust me when I say out of frustration I was probably not easy to deal with), she was patient and kind and understanding and helped where ever she could. My actual experience with Springs Armory was great though the process of purchasing a firearm in the state of Colorado is a bit of a headache. I'd encourage any and all in the market of a gun in the area to only do business with them. If I ever have the need for another firearm, this will be the only place my husband and I use.
