I came for the views, stayed for the craft beer, and left wondering how so many people can own both a yoga mat and a fancy hiking backpack but still look slightly confused about which one to use. The weather? Oh, it's like a box of chocolates -- you never know if you'll get sun, snow, or a surprise wind tunnel all in one afternoon. Pro tip: always carry sunglasses, sunscreen, and a snow shovel. Just in case. Food scene? It's a foodie's dream. From green chili that could wake the dead to vegan tacos that taste like a party in your mouth, Denver's got it all. Just don't ask a local where to park--they'll give you the most scenic 20-minute walk you've ever had. Public transit is... let's say "quirky." The buses and light rails run on their own schedule, which seems based on planetary alignment rather than any earthly timetable. But hey, it gives you time to appreciate the city's art and that friendly Denver smile (or is that just from the altitude?). Overall, Denver is a city that wears its quirks proudly. It's outdoorsy but laid-back, trendy but unpretentious, and has enough craft breweries to keep you busy for a lifetime. Just remember to pace yourself -- the altitude hits different. Five stars for the vibes, three stars for my confused legs.

Wonderful city and people in it! However, homelessness is…read moreabundant. Homeless folks everywhere and are smelly and dirty. City is trying pretty hard to solve the problem but nobody knows how. They're throwing various things at the wall to see what sticks at the taxpayer's expense and actual results are weak. They're still everywhere. Don't get me wrong, homelessness is generally not a chosen "lifestyle" and a lot of it is not a simple drugs/alcohol/mental health problem but an economic problem instead. Taxpayers foot the bill for drugs/alcohol/mental health rehabilitation programs (which is definitely needed) but in turn hard working people are taxed to the max and are priced out of their homes/apartments and become homeless themselves, then turn to City/County/State for help and use taxpayers money to get subsidies, which in turn raises taxes on the next group of taxpayers, and so on and so forth...

We left and went to a safe location leaving all personal possessions behind. We later filed a report with an officer investigating Jessie's side of the story and were told we'd be followed up with. Nobody has interviewed my 11 year old to determine if charges should be filed, no one from precinct 5 has reached back out. We called the DAs office and were told that investigation needed to be done, to contact the precinct. We've done that with no success. This department is a failure to the community it is supposed to serve and I'm ashamed that I moved from Houston Tx to this.

Plumber and appliance technician did not find any technical issues. However, the technician said that a human intentionally started the water leak. After examining washing machine and utility room where the washing machine was located he stated that some person intentionally loosened connection of cold water hose to the washing machine and blocked a floor drain in the utility room. All these findings clearly indicated that the crime had been committed. Many times I filed reports with Denver Police. Every time they simply ignored my reports. Finally, months later they issued temporary case number and then permanent case number 2025-6016468. Detective Bret Curtis (?) called me. It was clear from the beginning of conversation that he had zero intentions to investigate. For instance, he stated that it was impossible to investigate because there was no video showing crime in progress. (Does Denver Police investigate murders only if videos of murders are present?) He kept saying that I needed to take my tenant to Civil Court. On what grounds? Do I know that my tenant committed this crime? No. This is why investigation was needed, to establish who committed the crime. The crime was committed and I wanted Denver Police to investigate it. Just like an arson, an intentional flooding is a crime intended to destroy property. The facts clearly indicate that Denver Police does not care about crimes like this. What kind of police is this? Do we live in a third world country?

I was supposed to go with a friend who had a family emergency and they were very nice to refund her ticket. You take the elevator up to check in, but the rest of the floors have stairs, so you need to be able to navigate stairs that are sometimes steep and narrow, You can step outside on some of the floors and there are great views of Denver. You can also read about the history and it's cool to see the clock from behind. I went through it relatively quickly, but you can take as much little time as you want.

Downstairs, there are informational displays with interesting facts about the clock, and it was cool learning that this building is Denver's first skyscraper. The self-guided setup made it easy to explore at your own pace without feeling rushed. What You Can See: The Clocktower has about three floors you can explore, plus an event space that can be rented for special occasions. It was really neat getting to go inside and see the clock up close. One of the highlights was the outdoor viewing area. You can step outside and see Denver all around you nearby buildings and even the mountain tops in the distance. The views were beautiful. I am scared of heights, so I'll admit the stairs made me a little nervous going up and down. That said, everything felt very safe. Outside, there are high railings all the way around, which helped a lot and made the experience feel secure. Time Commitment: This is a quick activity, but still enjoyable. I took my time looking at everything and it took me about 15-20 minutestotal. Pricing Tickets were $12 total (tax included), which felt very reasonable for a unique downtown experience and a chance to see the city from a different perspective. Parking: I went on a Sunday, so I didn't have to pay for street parking. I highly recommend going on a Sunday if possible. That said, downtown can be busy, so it did take a bit to find a spot. Arriving early definitely helps. Overall Experience: Ireally enjoyed the Clocktower Tour. While it's more of a one-time experience, it's perfect for a cold day, a short outing downtown, or if you're just looking for something different to do without committing a lot of time. It was fun, affordable, and a neat way to experience a piece of Denver's history.
