And at the same time, while their clothes are getting worse, their prices are getting higher. It's sad to see because this used to be such a great place to find certain items, like holiday dresses. Not anymore . To fix this downward spiral, they need to start with getting good sellers back in. When you have to bring in one bin at a time and every bin requires two visits to the store, it's such a pain. If I have five bins of high-quality children's clothing, it would take 10 visits to the store to sell them!!!! I recommend making it possible to sell by appointment, or some sort of "save my place in line" kind of thing, so somebody with multiple bins can get it all done at once. Also, don't require them to come back. Just donate the stuff they don't want. Fix those two things and you'll have much better inventory than a hurry.

I stumbled upon JP Total Farmer Market using my trusty Yelp App. They were open until 7:00 and I figured we could get some local peaches and maybe a pie. So we parked the RV in the lot and Dave said let's take Freckles with us. So we entered this eclectic Farmer's Market where there were four inviting rocking chairs at the entrance. Dave went ahead and the owner went crazy over Freckles. They were like if you didn't bring her in we would be sad because we love dogs! It's like Freckles knew it too-she was so well behaved and she got some nice dog biscuits from the lady and ate them immediately! Dave bought a beautiful cherry pie that is homemade and ready to bake. I got a few humongous peaches that were so perfect and grown in Colorado. We talked and they had vacationed regularly on Ft. Meyers Beach until Ian did a number on it! It was so nice to meet these ladies who made us feel so comfortable! If I were a little younger I might consider moving to this inviting city! While he was shopping for music, I went inside a boutique store and bought myself a cute romper! We also had an epic biscuit breakfast at Denver Biscuit Co., located inside. Highly recommend. There's also a ton of stores that sell Denver merchandise if you're looking for souvenirs. There's a lot to do and explore here. You can easily spend a couple of hours walking around and having a bite to eat. We were on a time crunch and didn't get to see everything. I'd totally come back and bring more friends here!

That is how we ended up at the Denver Milk Market on a Thursday evening. Located in the Dairy Block on Wazee Street, it is a sprawling food hall designed by chef Frank Bonanno. It is a very pleasant sanctuary to kill some time before ascending into the night sky. The beauty of a venue with a dozen or so food counters is that a group of exhausted travelers does not need to achieve any sort of culinary consensus. One person can eat bao buns, another can eat handmade pasta, and a third can get fried chicken while another simply grabs a few drinks without any diplomatic negotiations. While we were wandering, a woman sat at a table with a microphone hosting a game of trivia to what appeared to be an entirely imaginary audience. Not a single person in the room appeared to be participating. It was a fascinating piece of experimental theater focusing on the loneliness of human knowledge. She called out questions about pop culture, agriculture and other various topics into the empty void, completely unbothered by the silence. I respected her commitment to the craft. The alley outside was maybe the finest part of the establishment. The Dairy Block alleyway is paved and lit up overhead. There was also a side room featuring communal seating and free games like skee ball, a shuffleboard table, and foosball. It turns waiting for a late flight into a minor social outing instead of a punishment. My primary critique is aimed not at the food hall itself, but at the city of Denver as a whole. Everything shuts down ridiculously early. The city has built a ecosystem of food halls, alleyways, and bars that is full of potential, yet the municipal clock seems to dictate that all citizens must be safely tucked in by nine o clock. For a traveler trying to enjoy the city after a long day in a convention center or stretch an evening before a red eye flight, this early curfew is an inconvenience. The Denver Milk Market is an attractive and versatile option for the weary traveler or hungry lunch crowd. It may not be a holy site that requires a special trip across town, but if you have some time to burn, a desire for a game of shuffleboard, and a late flight home, it performs its job admirably. Just make sure you get there before the city decides it is bedtime.

The large signs are all for the shaver/vacuum business, so look for the north door that says, "Blazing Star Ranch." The genesis of the business is the ranch in Elizabeth, Colorado where the owners have a herd of 60+ prize-winning alpacas. Much of the wool in the shop comes from this herd, but the owners seek out and represent other local and international craft yarn producers and dyers. Things are a little disorganized and the inventory is limited, but the yarns and raw wools are very unique and interesting. The shop also sells and services equipment for spinning and weaving and offers a roster of intensive classes. This is a very unusual shop, even for the yarn business. Don't let the strange location put you off. This is a great resource for anyone interested in quality yarn or spinning and weaving. Tours of the ranch are offered if you would like to meet the alpacas.

Well I made my purchase and my nephew found something else as we were walking out the door. We stood in line and made another purchase. I wasn't given a ticket and asked for one and was told by the dark haired lady behind the counter that today was only one ticket per customer not per transaction and dismissed me. I don't see the difference between today or Any other day. My money is green and credit cards are plastic every day. If it's because of the specials at least they made 80% of the sale then nothing at all.
