Denver Mattress has quality mattresses at reasonable prices and more expensive brands like Purple for those interested. Great warranty as well. They sell amazing pillows (I never rave about pillows, but this may be an exception) and wonderful cotton sheets - Pima, percale, organic percale, or long staple. If you're shopping for a bed platform, they sell regular bed or motorized, which is an adjusting platform to raise the head of the bed (for people with acid reflux, GERD, hiatal hernias). We needed to replace a mattress in our condo but needed to do it on short notice. The Best Buy rating by Consumer Reports steered us to Denver mattress and we were delighted that Matt, the store manager, said he could make an early morning delivery to get us a mattress before we departed. He was totally helpful in a non-pushy way. I perceived, after only 15 or 20 minutes, that he was an exceptional human being. Sure enough, the delivery van showed up within two minutes of the promised 6:45 AM. To my great surprise, it was Matt himself and another person who made the delivery. His other guy had an exam and couldn't make it, so Matt filled in. What an amazing example of exceptional service! Reading some of the reviews, I was amazed to find unhappy customers. I am certain this is explained by the fact that Matt had a serious medical problem about a year ago and probably was not the one they were referring to. I'm really happy with my experience here. They turned mattress buying from a nightmare into a breeze. I went in asking for something firm. My previous mattress (an overpriced Tempur Pedic, unfortunately) was so unsupportive and way too soft that I was getting bad back pain. The sales associate took me around the store to try out all the firmer mattresses. He never pushed me to buy any specific brand, which was great, and he left me alone to let me try the mattresses. I tried pretty much everything: more Tempur Pedics (but was feeling too bitter about it), Purple, Casper, Stearns, Denver, etc. I ended up liking the Telluride ultra firm the most, and got it. I was willing to pay whatever it took to get a good mattress and the Telluride was actually pretty inexpensive compared to the other mattresses at well under $2k for everything (mattress, foundation, frame, pillows, protector, delivery), which was less than my Tempur Pedic mattress by itself! They have some mattresses available in store that you can get in just 1-2 days, which is really nice if you're desperate for one, and they do deliver to surrounding communities like Espanola and Los Alamos. The Telluride had to be ordered so I decided to be patient and wait (while racking up back pain every day). It only took 4 days until they got it down here from Denver and then they were able to deliver it on a Sunday morning, which was super convenient for me so I didn't have to take off work. They arrived exactly on time and set everything up quickly. It was pouring rain but everything stayed dry. The quality of the products (all Denver Mattress brand) is great. The frame is much more supportive than my old one that creaked, although the wheels are a bit annoying to move. The foundation has a solid flat top which will be good for support. The mattress itself is really comfy so far. After a week of sleeping on it my morning back pain went from 9/10 to 2/10, and it's almost gone. Overall I'm really happy with this experience. Mattress buying can be terrible with pushy sales associates, delayed shipping, missed delivery times, defective products, etc. But everything went smoothly with this store and my old mattress nightmare is in the past. I also feel pretty confident with their policy (4/8/12 month) that if I hated my mattress I could go back there and exchange it for something else with ease. This makes me feel less stressed about my purchase. read more

My wife and I needed to replace our king sized bed. We didn't want to spend a lot of money, but after looking around at the other mattress stores in town we had grown accustomed to the idea that we were going to have to spend 4 or 5k to get a good bed. Denver mattress blew us out of the water. Where most other stores offered beds for 4 or 5k, we were able to buy a mattress, sheets, pillows, mattress protector, duvet, comforter, and an adjustable platform. All of it for less than what most other people were offering just the mattress for. I will never go anywhere else to buy my beds again. Our salesman was friendly and very knowledgeable. The mattress itself is not all that bad, there are better. The INCREDIBLY absorbent mattress cover stains if you show it a picture of sweat. Basically anything and everything will get this thing dirty. Dirty voids your 10 year warranty. So what ever you do buy the mattress protector that does not breath and sweat your ass to death, because there is not replacing it, and yep you guessed it there is no way to clean it. read more

He was honest and forthcoming when asked questions. We neared the end of our tour and trial of mattresses when he calmly suggested the Natasha Black. We tried it and was stunned at is feel and comfort. The California King was extremely wide and long It satisfied both the needs of me and my husband. The bed doesn't bounce or shake so he can sleep while I work. Matt was actually listening to us the entire time we took the tour!!! Next Step: We made the purchase and arranged the delivery. The Delivery guys were on time and attentive. We bought a bed for my mom without her being there (she has mobility problems) and when she has slept on it for a few nights, she told me she didn't like it because it was too hard. I don't like complaining, but I went back to the store and told them what was going on and they were more than willing to help us out. They showed us some softer models and were very nice the whole time. My mom got the Doctors Choice plush model and she loves it. Went into DM today and found a great mattress - I asked the salesman how long would take to get a Cal King in this bed and he told me I didn't want a Cal King, did I know the measurements, nobody likes Cal King it's too long and not wide enough, and I'd be happier with a regular king, come look over here at the kings... as we were walking over to the king beds he droned on trying to convince me I didn't want a Cal King. We asked Matt to show us the Green Choice line after reading about good customer service and delivery on Yelp. We settled on the Green Choice Carefree and were jazzed at the reasonable price to go green ! We told Matt about the storage problems in our tiny condo and he suggested the Space Base frame instead of traditional box springs. My wife is delighted! More room without having to buy a bigger condo that would cost more in taxes and heating and cooling! So we both are happy. It had to be ordered, and we told him that was fine but that we were in a time crunch because we were going to Africa for a while. On delivery day the driver was unavailable and the truck was in the shop, but Matt went HIMSELF and got the truck out and delivered our Green Choice Carefee and Frame. Denver Mattress in Santa Fe was a great decision for me and my wife. We both suffer from back pain (I have even had 1 back surgery) and have trouble getting good sleep. We had shopped around a few places in town and decided that the product was high quality and the service was fantastic. We ended up getting the Doctor's Choice elite model. We most liked how knowledgeable the salesperson was. I could tell he knew a lot about the product. My only hangup was they had to order the bed and that took a week. But it was worth the wait. Customer Service is not synonymous with the Santa Fe store. They had the nerve treating my wife as the enemy. They belittled her and she didn't take it. She was so livid about the way she was treated. They told her that 'maybe you should've have bought it earlier'. We bought it on sale and she was told "well it's been on sale all summer". You NEVER say those things to a customer. When I went to pick up the mattress there was a customer in the store and he had asked the price of a mattress and the customer was shocked and said "forget it", "I have gotten a better price elsewhere". The sales person said "well you must have gotten a better deal". Instead of saying, "maybe we could match it", "Do you have their ad or a price quote". The sales person just ignored the customer and walked away. The sales person approached me and I gave him my receipt. He said, "Oh I tried calling you yesterday but your line was busy". I told him my phone was working fine. I told him my wife had talked to your staff yesterday and all they did was argue with my wife as I described earlier. Once the same sales person loaded the mattress in my truck the same sales person said "you're set". No, 'thanks for your business or sorry for the inconvenience'. In fact, he just walked away and back into the warehouse to just avoid any more conversation with me. DON'T USE THE DENVER MATTRESS IN SANTA FE ON CERRILLOS ROAD. Unless you like abuse. read more

Unfortunately the mattress and covers we selected after much thought just would not work for my wife. She is chemically sensitive and even their certified pure materials ultimately were more than she could handle and we had to return it. We were all disappointed, but Matt and Eddie responded well and within 20 minutes the paperwork had all been accomplished in a good way and mattress is scheduled to be picked up tomorrow. We must now find an organic alternative... But we do recommend Denver Mattress as a company and the Santa Fe store specifically. My wife and I bought a Sealy Posturepedic Queen Optimum Destiny mattress, a boxspring, and a bedframe for about $1,000. Our shopping experience with the salesperson, Matt, was very positive. We had done our research and identified several mattresses to try out, including the Optimum series. We had just arrived in Santa Fe and were moving into our new home in a few days. We tried out a number of beds, including the 3 Optimums (they have different levels of memory foam). We liked the middle Optimum the best (not to soft, not too hard). It turned out that Matt needed to make room on the floor and could sell us the floor model at a discount and deliver it a few days later, a Sunday. On Sunday, at the appointed time, Matt and the truck driver delivered and set up the bed. We plan to return to find a guest bedroom bed and would recommend Denver Mattress to a friend. read more

What I truly appreciated about my experience at Denver mattress was the willingness of the sales person to go above and beyond to ensure I was selecting the right product. I felt that my business was both appreciated and that the experience was personal. It was such a change from going into the other mattress stores where I felt like I was just another sale. What blew me away, was I received a call a few weeks later from Denver Mattress to ask how I was doing and how the product was working for me.
