I found something in my price range that I loved for the guestroom. I easily could have paid 8 to 10 times more for a mattress but I'm not sure I would have felt that it would have been any better. I liked it so much I preferred sleeping in the guestroom. And that's the feedback I got from everyone who had spent the night. We felt that we were in good hands from the moment we stepped into the store. She asked all the right questions and guided us to the section of the store that was within my son's budget with mattresses that provided the support and medium firmness to fit his needs. They sell amazing pillows (I never rave about pillows, but this may be an exception) and wonderful cotton sheets - Pima, percale, organic percale, or long staple. If you're shopping for a bed platform, they sell regular bed or motorized, which is an adjusting platform to raise the head of the bed (for people with acid reflux, GERD, hiatal hernias). Requested full refund as nothing had been picked up or delivered. I had to phone them 5 TIMES. Yup, every day for 5 days until they finally did the refund, and then it took a call to my bank and a threat from me that I would just dispute the charge on my credit card as order had been cancelled and no goods received. I won't go into my specifics; it was quite similar to every case I see described here. Yes, that Jason is a complete moron. They were prompt to take my money and screw up my order, prompt to pick up their couches and for get to drop off the correct couches, prompt to refund which I didn't request but only a fraction of my money hoping I wouldn't notice. We picked out a mattress for our home in San Antonio, got a price and left. Our thought at the time (full disclosure) was to find someone in the San Antonio area that could match the price and get it there, avoiding the cost and hassle of shipping it there. We couldn't come within $800 of the price. We both really felt comfortable with Bill so we went back and bought it (a king mattress by Stearns and Foster) rented a trailer and drove it to San Antonio. Still cost less, and we had no pressure to buy anything. Highly recommend these guys.

So naturally when my parents needed a new bed I decided to get them one. Enter Jennifer, the salesperson at this location. She definitely had that slick used car salesman vibe going on, with a condescending tone telling me what I needed, a disregard for what I told her I wanted and a clear "I'm definately going to screw you on the price" feel about her. Like I said, I have four of them, so I didn't need to be told what I needed. I knew exactly what I wanted. It wasn't good enough for her though, as she continued to try to upsell me on things I didn't want, and made promises regarding when she would be able to get the bed delivered, which in the end she wasn't able to meet. She also charged me to haul away the old mattresses, but when the guys came to take them away they told me they couldn't do it with Tempur-Pedic beds because of the box springs. I advised them that if they couldn't take away the old beds I didn't want the new ones. They had to get their district supervisor on the phone late on a Friday night who said he would work with Jennifer on Monday to see if they could find somebody to come haul them away for me, but you know how that story was going to end up. Since I was putting my parents in an assisted living facility and I live in Arizona with a limited amount of time I could be there, I accepted the mattresses, and then paid a couple of sketchy dudes I found in front of Home Depot fifty bucks to haul away the old ones so I could be sure it was done. The TLDR version is this: Sleep Number beds rock. Just don't believe anything Jennifer says or let her upsell you. This happened four months ago and I'm still irritated about it. Buying a mattress and having it delivered shouldn't have been nearly so stressful. Buy one, but his the Alb store to save yourself the aggravation.

Then I am unable to opt of of their system and them sharing my information. I've called several times, and they say "you're not in our system", but I keep getting emails, and responses saying I cannot opt out. What a manipulative company. Stay away unless you want to pay too much, wait too long, and have no control over your personal information/date. The 800 number is no better than the store. No wonder they've had layoffs and reduced shareholder value and store closings over the past two years.
