It was my my first visit with Neurosurgery One today, after having 3 doctors recommend the doctors there - either office. The front desk staff was welcoming, and it was so nice to have a simple questionnaire instead of spending time giving all my information, history, medication, etc. and having the technician and PA ask me the same questions. Since the doctor, Joshua Beckman, MD, and Nick never rushed me at any time I was able to fully discuss my situation with them. I even felt comfortable asking questions that I thought might be "dumb". I feel it's always smart to listen to what is said and to check that you heard/interpreted what they said properly. It's so easy to forget what's said in an appointment without taking a few notes at times. After a few more tests, I'll be returning to discuss my options for further treatment. For those concerned about social distancing, the waiting area is fairly large and it was not difficult to find "my own breathing space", or I could have worn a mask. Restrooms were a short walk away. I'm looking forward to working with them in the future.

I discovered this office contracts with an intermediary (known as American Specialty Health - ASH) that slows payment between the insurer and their office ---- sticking it to the patient by collecting way too much up front. Losing your loved one is never the plan, but myself, and my family of 7 have nothing but gratitute and praise for the nurses and staff that cared for her. EACH and EVERY nurse, chaplain, and Hospice staff member gave the most compassionate care for my mom during her week there and her passing. They let us ask every question, explained things thoroughly, and were a constant source of comfort to my whole family during this difficult time. This hospital is very clean, and comfortable. The only thing I have gained from here is DO. OT COME HERE FOR HELP and don't trust any of them rather than you can throw them. Doctors and nurses and they psychiatrists simply could not be bothered to listen and really hear what I was saying. And when I pushed back and tried to advocate for myself the tele-therapist got short and bitchy and hung up on me. The blonde and brunette nurses were condescending and essentially told me "fuck you" when I pointed out that then leaving me alone in a room (while suffering from a mental health crisis) would not be classified as good care. The brunettes told me the "main reason " I was being sent away was because I made a comment about how I THOUGHT it would be better if I were not here. Now I am no doctor, but I have been living in my skin for a few decades, and I'm pretty fucking sure that having THOUGHTS is not the same thing as Taking Action. And thoughts certainly do not meet the expectations of immediate danger. They basically tried to make excuses for them not being clear as to what was happening and when. Piss poor customer service. Waitresses at Dennys are vastly more attentive than these two. I am the patient. I am the one who is down grossly put into debt because I am being pushed into going to get treatment when the fancy pants doctors have not proven that I am an Imminent risk to myself. And let me tell you missy, just because some holds a stupid fucking title that gives them the ability to Lord their power over those who are struggling, does not mean they are making the right decisions. Unfortunately, my recent experience following a procedure has been extremely disappointing and concerning. What was expected to be a routine recovery of approximately three weeks turned into a six-month wound after the procedure. The procedure attended by PA Andrea Margaret Williams allegedly did not include sufficient stitches, which resulted in an open wound in my foot requiring ongoing treatment. Initially, I was informed that the wound care resulting from the procedure would be covered and monitored appropriately. However, without warning, I was later informed that they would no longer be covering my care expenses, despite the wound being directly related to the procedure. I am now left with ongoing medical bills. While being told this situation is considered a "complication." It is frustrating and confusing to understand why coverage for my medical care began, only to be discontinued later, especially when the condition appears to stem directly from the procedure itself.
