I contacted Bob at Denver Pergola multiple times. He was very quick to make sure I understood he installed nothing for less than $25k. I sent him my architect's plans and he quoted me $40k for my very small space without ever even seeing my job site with his own eyes. I couldn't get him out to see the space as he continually rescheduled on me, saying he was having "intense days" and then he hadn't "been as productive as he'd expected to be on a job and could he reschedule again"? I finally threw in the towel on him knowing he would just cause delays and miss deadlines on the actual work. It was obvious to me he only wanted easy, super high-end jobs with no budget caps and zero schedules. I also have a background in construction and know when the contractor is blaming and shaming the customer for their own failings. He intimated that I wasn't likely even serious about doing the work - what? I'll just go ahead and go back to building my pergola out of wood for less than half the price of this gold plated, precious masterpiece pergola system which would obviously have cost just under what some people make in a year and would have gone into the next century to get installed. We were thrilled with the work Bob Monzel (the owner) and his team did for us! We have a great backyard, but were not really able to enjoy it as it is southwest facing and gets super hot. Our landscape designer through Designs by Sundown introduced us to Denver Pergola Systems & the idea of an Arcadia louvered pergola. We are so happy we decided to add this to our backyard project!
