We have used Bryan and Floors Free twice now in the last year. We have LOVED the work and service and plan to use the company again for other projects. About a year ago we hired Floors Free to take out carpet and put in hardwood floors in two rooms to match existing hardwood in our kitchen. Bryan and team also refinished the existing kitchen hardwood and stained all three rooms to match. The process was unbelievably smooth and the quote was extremely reasonable. Communication was easy and the project was done in no time, before we even moved in. The floors are beautiful and we remark all the time how they totally transformed our house. Bryan's team matched the existing hardwood perfectly - we actually can't remember where it started and stopped. The work is just fantastic and we plan to call Bryan again when we re-do some other flooring throughout the house. Then most recently, Bryan and his team put in our kitchen backsplash (previously we had an adhesive "tile" until we were ready for real tile). After initially starting work with another more expensive company that we fired (dodged a bullet!), we remembered that Bryan's company did tiling. We were so happy we contacted him and wished we had sooner - quote came back next day and we were able to get work scheduled within two weeks! Bryan told us his tile pro was an artist and he truly was. The work was clean and took much less than two days. Bryan worked with the tile we had previously purchased, and we supplied tile adhesive and the grout - we loved that we bought them ourselves and were not up-charged for supplies. Thomas the tile pro was in and out - he was so friendly and obviously proud of his work. We wouldn't hesitate to contact Bryan again for more work. Floors Free did a fantastic job on our floors! We could not be more pleased. We had a limited time to get this project done and they finished everything with time to spare. The luxury vinyl tile floors in our master bedroom look beautiful. They worked some intricate cuts around built-ins in the closet which look nice and neat. They removed and replaced our baseboards, which other companies refused to do. In our lower level and on our stairs, their carpet guy, Phil did a remarkable job. We have open steps which had to be wrapped--another thing some companies refused outright to do--and you cannot even see the seams. On the lower stairs and the landing, he did a beautiful hollywood style installation which looks so much more professional than the waterfall style that used to be there. Emily and Bryan were a pleasure to work with. They brought their samples to our home so we could see them in the rooms where they would ultimately be installed. They explained everything to us, so there were no ugly surprises. Everything was cleaned up nicely before they left. Updated: Floors free stopped by my house for a quote on floors. Was by far the most expensive of all the bids (3k more than the next highest) and then they never even emailed me the bid for my review as promised. I've also yet to hear back. Nothing was in my spam folder and I entered my email correctly. Plus they had my contact information... So no excuses! It's not the customers job to have to call in because you didn't execute. We contacted Floors Free and owner set up appointment and kept it despite having just suffered a blizzard. Measurements taken, price quoted, paid 67%, and booked appointment six weeks in advance. Work did begin on scheduled date. We all know what traffic is like but giving a 2-hour window is unacceptable and when a team is assigned; they should concentrate on our home only. We wanted the stairs done but they only do the steps so now we must find someone else to complete the risers, stringers, and painting. We have hard wood floors which have varying colors from brown, gold, and red. At no time during our 6-week wait did anyone ever attempt to come out and match our flooring. Why? The day of staining isn't the time to try to match. The guy didn't show up until 2pm the day when the staining should've begun. He spent 4 hours trying to get a match that was somewhat close. (We're not asking for an exact - it would be impossible!) After 4 hours we finally settled. While we do like the color chosen it could be closer. We were told last minute that we couldn't walk on stairs for 24 hours. We live in a townhome with 6 1/2 levels and to get to any level, stairs are required. This is an additional cost to us but we got a hotel room. The guy staining the floor stated, "he doesn't know why they say 24 hours"! We know sanding is a messy job but other than day one, cleaning up after themselves was nonexistent. Sunday, we return home. Received call from Floors Free to settle up. Asked if we loved the stairs. The hickory wood is great, stain could be a better match, and mishaps through the whole project. We were told we would receive a call to discuss our concerns. Payment made and guess what, no call to discuss our concerns. Eww, big surprise! read more

Brian and Emily did an outstanding job for us! We had hardwood floors sanded and refinished and new carpet installed in the bedrooms and stairway. The hardwood floors were a blond maple and they sanded and refinished in a new gray tone. They came out absolutely gorgeous! The gray shades brought out all the natural wood grains and tones. The carpet came out perfectly as well. And on top of that, both Emily and Brian were very detail oriented and made sure the job was completed as promised. We used Floors Free Inc for my living room carpet and stairs. I would like to state that they did do a good job with a few issues. They were nice and professional, but did not warn me to take things that were hanging on my wall in the basement down. I have never had carpets replaced, so this would have been good for them to inform me. During installation of the stairs, which is the wall to my workout room and I have some well earned trophies on that wall. We all heard a crash. I ran downstairs to find out that ,my glass shelf fell off the wall along with my trophies. 4 out of 5 of them were destroyed. I went back up stairs and informed the team and then they stated that they heard something fall earlier. If they would have told me that, I could have saved my trophies. If they would have informed me to take things off the wall in advance, I would have. Thanks, now I am out of over $400 and my hard earned trophies :( Didn't even offer to pay for them. Extremely disappointed! I can't say it was all bad, again, the team was nice, and they did match up the pattern (which was difficult) so the carpet in the living room looks amazing. But as it connected to the stairs, on the top step, they didn't measure it correctly and there is about a 1" x 2" missing piece of carpet. Also they didn't make the carpet straight on the stairs. Again, yes, pattern, but now every time I walk up the stairs, it is crooked. :( Finally, I called to have them come back out to fix the mistakes. This is where I got mad. I let the trophy thing go, but this was not cool. We schedule it for Last Saturday between 12 pm and 2. BTW, my only day off. I work 4 jobs and this was my only day off. Guess what... NO CALL, NO SHOW. I stayed home all day, on my day off for them to NO CALL, NO SHOW! They wasted my time! My time is very valuable to me and when someone wastes my entire day without the curiosity of calling.... This pisses me off! Now I am more upset than ever about my trophies as well. Sorry, but my in-laws did like my carpets, but I did not recommend them to use this company. After I sent an email stating how upset I was, I got a voicemail back stating the they were sorry and the guy did show up.. Really? When? I did not see anyone show up. I stayed home all day waiting. I'll deal with the carpets the way they are. I am not going to waste my time again for them to just blow me off. NOT COOL. read more
