After having insulation installed in our home, we noticed absolutely no improvement in the problem…read morefor which we called EHI (cold floors). We spoke to a rep from EHI and explained our problem, and explained that the work performed was not done properly and some important vents had been covered in our crawl space. Someone came out soon after and half heartedly corrected the vent situation, but again we noticed no improvement in the cold floors. After two conversations with a manager and Mr LaHood, no resolution was offered. No follow up contact was ever made. We will never use EHI again, and in my opinion, would not recommend them as a reliable insulation contractor.

While he was there to provide the quote, he noticed the kitchen floor was really cold (he took off his shoes when he entered the house). He pulled out his thermal camera and we saw the floor was 30-40F! I had noticed that area of the kitchen was cold in winter, but didn't realize it was coming from the floor, where kitchen is cantilevered out past the foundation wall. He proposed insulating the cantilevered area with spray foam, and then said he could insulate all the rim joists in the basement for the same price. A week or so later, while he was onsite doing the insulating, I mentioned I was going to finish the basement later in the year, and expected to use 3 inch foam panels. He suggested using spray foam instead since that would give me a few inches more space in the room. He gave me a price and I said I'd think about it. As I thought about it, I realized getting a few more inches in the room, and also getting a better sealing product would be worth it, and would save me many hours of labor and a lot of material costs. In summer, I started work on the basement project, and once I had the framing up and electrical roughed in, I called (now July) to schedule the spray foam. Randy honored the price from January, scheduled the job quickly, and it looks great! Something I especially appreciate about Randy and Paragon is that the guy who quotes the job actually does the job; it's not some sales guy, it's the owner who quotes AND does the work! Because of that, any questions get answered and you know exactly who is accountable for quality and completion. I did get other quotes for the attic, and Paragon was very competitive. The plumber discovered that there was in fact, debris, loose installation, wood chips, nails, drywall, and particles of other materials that were torn out from the demolition of the mold remediation project. The plumber left telling me that the lines needed to be jetted and that he would talk to Caleb about the follow up during that time. I asked Caleb to send me the report after spending hours of flushing, the sewer line out with my water ,which height my water bill $200 more than average.. I also had to call some heating and cooling assistance to do a vent cleaning which cost me over $1,800 along with all of the miscellaneous personal property that was flooded in the basement cost over $2000 which included yard tools, lawnmower, dining room table and chairs two twin size metal beds, a line, leaf blower, electrical weed, whacker and other miscellaneous tools. Caleb never sent the information about the follow up or evidence from the plumber and did not go forward with completely clearing out the debris his team had carelessly forced down into my sewer pipes. Caleb is very deceptive and his team has absolutely bad customer service . Caleb did not want to follow through with resolving the issue. His company has created Thousands of dollars of damage-during that period of them doing that tear out. They also ran off with my ladder and I had to complain to get it back which was It was a thief. Caleb completely ghosted me after I called him back after my basement flooded again almost a year later after a heavy storm. I was requesting the report from the original plumbers inspection, which I discovered that Caleb and the plumber had discussed father jetting of the sewer pipes to get all of the debris out, but Caleb did not go forward with the work, not taking responsibility for what his workers did and cost me detrimental property damage a year later . Caleb is very untrustworthy and does not keep his word after his workers causing damage to your property. He rather you take him to court after trying to resolve the issue with him He ultimately did not resolve anything. He chose to ignore the damage they created for me . His company has forced me to endure Financial hardship and had not continue to be a professional to simply resolve the original issue his company created.
