From the moment I walked in I was kindly greeted and impressed by the friendliness of the staff. I did not have to wait long (less than 5 minutes), although there were others in the waiting room. My dental hygienist, Toni (sp?), was wonderful. She explained everything that was going on or would take place and was very nice and professional. My cleaning was completely comprehensive and not stressful or painful. She gave me an iPod so I could listen to music during the cleaning! Dr. Whitaker was sweet and professional as well. He discussed with me the results of my x-rays as well as my options for whitening and my cosmetic needs. He was thorough and clear so I was left with no questions. The staff was able to get me in a week from my appointment to finish my evaluation for my cosmetic needs which I thought was amazing; I'm getting married and don't have a lot of time to spare on waiting to get back into the office. The facility as a whole is welcoming. It's modern and clean and quite relaxing considering it's a dentist's office. There was music to listen to and a television to watch to take your mind off of whatever procedure you may be undergoing. It was by far the best dental experience of my life. I would highly recommend this practice to anyone currently seeking a dentist or unhappy with their own.

Dr. Scanlon Glowczewski (the daughter of the previous Dr. Scanlon, who was also great) is the kindest physician ever - she remembers personal details about each patient and truly listens. The staff is always incredibly welcoming, accommodating, and friendly as well. I moved to South City but still drive the 45 minutes to their Florissant office to see them. They are well worth it.

I now have insurance as well so I researched dentists on the insurance website. I located a dentist in my plan and called the office, only to learn that this dentist had retired and Dr. Burgdorf was now practicing in this location. I scheduled my new patient appointment and was able to get in within 3 weeks. I read the reviews the morning of my appointment and found them to be quite favorable so I was feeling very comfortable with my choice. After arriving and being greeted very warmly by Amy, Linda, the hygienist, walked me through the initial portion of the exam with a very thorough explanation. When Dr. Burgdorf arrived in the exam room he greeted me in a very warm manner as well and explained every step of the way in a positive and supportive way. He was very gentle and made me feel very comfortable. I had told him that it has been a long time since I was seen by a dentist and it was largely due to embarrassment of the condition of my teeth. He assured me that this was a judgment-free office and his job was to help me achieve my dental goals. I have a lot of work ahead of me but I feel very confident that it is going to result in amazing dental work in place and a lifelong dentist. I even brought home information to my daughter to encourage her to schedule an appointment for her needs. The one Hygienist came in and explained to me what the plan was going to entail. I had five teeth pulled. I was in some pain but they gave me medicine to take for the pain. The next day I went in for post surgery visit and got my partials. I was told what to do and how to take care of them. They said if I had any problems to call and they will try to work me in. Over all the staff, Dr. Turner and all the Hygienist were AWESOME! I would definitely refer anyone and everyone to Dr. Turner and Total Care Dental in Bridgeton!

Unsure of where I wanted to go or where to begin my search, I reached out to a few friends one of whom recommended Total Care Dental located in Bridgeton, MO. This worked for me as I am familiar with the area. If you know where the Olive Garden is located, you're on the right path! I immediately checked with my insurance company to make sure that they where in-network. Yes! Maybe this is was a sign! LOL! I immediately reached out to Total Care and asked if they were accepting new patients. Yes! Yes! I was geeked about going to the dentist! Not really but I was happy to find a new one! The person that I talked to was pleasant and explained what days/times were available. I scheduled a date/time that worked with my schedule. I was impressed when I received a call beforehand asking if I wanted to come in a few days earlier as another patient cancelled, leaving an opening available. Upon arrival, I was immediately greeted an given forms for new patients to complete. Next, it was time for THE CHAIR.... My hygienist (I can't remember her name) was a true gem! Very personable with a great personality. She could tell I was nervous and she convinced me that I was in good hands! The doctor was amazing as well! He explained in detail what his concerns were while taking the time to address mine. After a few seconds of holding my breath, I was done and given a clean bill of health! Overall, this was great experience! There are so many wonderful aspects that I experienced in the two hours that I was there compared to my old dentist in which I was patient for over 4 years! I've already recommended Total Care to a few people. Great Staff + Professional Doctor = HAPPY PATIENT.
