I want to warn those considering breast augmentation. I urge you not to go to Dr. Rod for this procedure. I had my initial breast augmentation done by him, which led to a capsular contracture. I went back for a second surgery to fix the issue and increase my size. The first surgery was full price, but the second surgery cost more than half and the capsular worsened. The suggestion to correct the ongoing issue was to use mesh to address the problem from the first and second surgery. I decided to seek a second opinion from a reconstructive surgery doctor. While waiting, I met two other women who had similar complications after their surgeries with Dr. Rod and were seeking a second opinion to address the problems they were experiencing. One received a refund, but the other woman and I did not. Both of them had undergone only one surgery with Dr Rod. Despite being aware of my critical condition, Dr. Rod neither reached out nor offered any discount. It appears that Dr. Rod is apathetic towards his work and the safety of the surgeries he conducts.. Additionally, a second opinion revealed that mesh is not necessary, as alternative techniques exist to address such issues. Mesh is extensive, costly, and not always effective. This consultation led me to understand that Dr. Rod may not excel in breast augmentations, although he might be proficient in other procedures, I discourage others from getting this particular procedure done by Dr. Rod. I visited another doctor who successfully performed the surgery and resolved the issue with excellent results. I am still awaiting some form of acknowledgment and possibly a refund for the pain and suffering caused by a procedure that Dr. Rod was unable to perform. Regarding the staff, Jennifer, who assists Dr. Rod, also needs to improve her attitude. Every time I visited, it almost seemed as if I was an inconvenience to her. The front office ladies are wonderful, and it's unfortunate how she treated them when she thought no one was watching. Strongly suggest seeking another Dr to perform breast augmentation before going to Dr. Rod or Dermacare. read more

I really love the staff there but I had a neck lift and an upper eyelid procedure done and I am not happy with the results of either of them after one year. I went to Dr. Rod for liposuction, it was a painless procedure I felt no discomfort. The areas of concern were my waist and stomach. I asked Dr. Rod if a tummy tuck would be more appropriate to achieve what I wanted. He assured me that the tickel lipo would be all that was needed. Well 7 months later I'm so disappointed, I'm uneven . The top portion of my stomach was not done. There is some hard areas on the back side of my waist that were never there. I had only one follow up after the procedure. My next appointment there was a mistake on time and the doctor left early . The nurse knew I was un happy and no has made an attempt to see me. But they sure had no problem following up to collect their funds. I will have to go to another Doctor to correct his mistake. read more

Great Botox and Chemical Peels I have been going to this office for 4-5 years. I live on the East Coast and spend winters in Phoenix. I make it a point to always come here for my Botox before leaving heading back to the East Coast. The female Doctor at this office does my Botox better than anyone else and I love their Chemical Peels. I've learned there's an art to getting the Botox right so eyelids don't sag. I have been a patient with Dermacare since early 2014. For the majority of my time as a patient my treatment was focused on skin care and I saw Jazzy about twice a month up until a few months ago. Dr. Pam DeRouin was the "skin expert" at the time, but her attitude towards me and her lack of common sense regarding my skin issues steered me clear of her. In fact, most patients I talked with felt uncomfortable with her and her behavior, but she was later let go and I continued to be cared for by Jazzy without Dr. DeRouin's dictratorship. Anyway, in July of 2014 I decided to undergo the tickle lipo procedure with Dr. Gael because I have had children which took a toll on my mid-section. I cannot state enough what a horrendous procedure this was for me. The anesthesia that was supposed to numb my insides (you are awake for this procedure) really didn't work and I felt most of the procedure which was horrific. Dr. Gael was very rough even though he knew I was suffering, so to say I was traumatized is an understatement. However, I made it through the surgery with the help of Stacy and her compassion and just hoped the results would be worth the pain. They weren't. My body is now completely uneven and looks horrible. One hip is huge while the other is flat. I cannot wear most dresses because it's so obvious how uneven I am. When I had finally got the courage to talk about having it revised the practice had been sold to Dr. Rod who agreed to fix what Dr. Gael had botched. I was assured by the girls that Dr. Rod would take good care of me and I would not suffer or be deformed anymore if I had him fix everything. It took me awhile to warm up to Dr. Rod, but I believed that he would help me considering that he has and is fixing numerous surgeries Dr. Gael botched. Well one day out of the blue everyone that worked at Dermacare was suddenly gone. Everyone that had treated me and been so helpful was just gone, but my disproportionate body still remains, so I attempted to contact the new staff to set up a time to meet with Dr. Rod. I called three times and never received a call back, so on 07/07/15 I went directly to the office. None of the "new" staff knew anything about my case. They admitted that Dr. Rod was fixing, or refunding, many previous surgeries that Dr. Gael preformed. I spoke with Marin in length about my treatment, the issues and even showed her the results of my botched surgery. She agreed it didn't look good and stated she would speak to Dr. Rod the next morning and get back to me once she did. At the time she seemed like she cared but there was a definite tension throughout the office. That was a week ago today and I've not received any sort of acknowledgement from her, or Dr. Rod. I broke down crying in this woman's office and Dr. Rod is aware of everything, but I'm not even worthy of a phone call. I took out a loan for this surgery, I was an ongoing patient for over a year and referred numerous people to Dermacare, but now they act like I'm nothing. The atmosphere in this office has completely changed. They no longer care about their existing patients and the "new staff" (including Dr. DeRouin, once again) who were "brought in to clean things up" are not customer friendly and seem to be really good liars. Now I'm out $6,000 and will probably have to pay that again, if not more, to fix the mess that Dr. Rod suddenly doesn't care about. read more
