This is my first time ever getting my eyebrows microbladed. I've heard some horror stories so I was a little nervous at first, but was quickly reassured once I got to my appointment. Not only was Kashia professional and knowledgeable, she was also a perfectionist. More so than I am and it's MY face. When the drawing outline was good enough for me it still wasn't good enough for her. I'm so glad she takes her time and strives for the best possible look. You have no idea what eyebrows do for the face until you have the right ones. My whole face looks more symmetrical. The process itself went pretty quickly, and wasn't nearly as uncomfortable as I was expecting, once it was over it felt like I had a slight sunburn. Wow!!! This place is the real deal! Thank you Groupon and yelp for introducing me to this establishment. Service I do not have eyebrows and have wanted permanent/semi permanent brows for quite some time so when a Groupon popped up that offererd microblading on both eyebrows I cross referenced the business on Yelp, saw the great reviews and bought it. Booking an appointment was very easy. I followed the directions on the voucher and Kashia was very responsive. She does outline the brow prior to the microblading but I actually liked the finished product wayy better than the outline! I have never had a tattoo or anything like it so I did not know what to expect pain wise but it was not that bad. She uses a topical anesthetic to help numb some of the sensation. She used all new instruments to provide the service as well. Location Finding the building was not difficult at all. The spa is located in building that has a call box in order for you to gain entry. When I first called, no one answered but there is enough foot traffic that I was able to get in without having to wait to get buzzed in. Once in Dermalux is on the first floor in the back corner within another suite. It is a small room which makes it very private while receiving the service. Because it is located within another suite, you can hear conversations from ppl next door Results Kashia was concerned about my skin perhaps not absorbing enough of the pigment so I was nervous about what I would see when I looked in the mirror. I was not prepared to be AMAZED! I finally had eyebrows and they looked fantastic! So natural and clean. Melissa was very knowledgeable about facials to tackle acne scars and fine lines. I also added 20 minutes of light therapy for acne prevention and collagen boost. I've always had long, thick, wavy, frizzy, unmanageable hair. I've tried every flat iron, blow dryer, OTC product over the last 30 years- nothing would work on this head of mine. It normally takes me about an hour to blow dry and flat iron my hair because I have to do it in 4 stages. Ain't nobody got time for that! I was very excited to get a lash lift! I had gotten one before in a different city, and the results were amazing. However, I was left disappointed. Kashia ran 30 minutes later and never issued an apology. During the appointment, I felt very uncomfortable and it didn't feel like the other lift I had gotten. Once she finished, my lashes looked curled, but not as much as I knew they could be with previous results. Because the results are not that great, I don't even think the lift will last 6-8 weeks. I have been filling in my brows for years. I just got so tired of it. I researched and researched whom to use. I live 30 miles outside Houston in Galveston County. So I just wanted who seemed to be the best. It's my face and it will last years, you just can't hide it. I went for my initial micro blading and powder brow appt and left looking so much better. I was given great after care directions. Now I just went for my touch up and thought I needed to be darker and a little bit more to add length to the brows. Oh my gosh, I am in love with my brows!!!! I researched SO many different studios on microblading in Houston back in December and finally ended up with Dermaluxe and scheduled an appointment in February. I appreciated that Kashia answered all my questions via text and phone call before my appointment because I was nervous as heck. I don't know how many reviews I read about Kashia's work and general information about microblading from multiple sources online. When I got to Dermaluxe, the location was a little confusing as it's in a building and her studio is located in a suite inside. I waited about 15 minutes after my appointment time since there was another customer. The studio is very quaint and cold so bring a jacket if you get cold easily. During my appointment, Kashia talked me through and I was able to show her some pictures and tell her what I wanted but I put a lot of trust into her hands because I'm not an eyebrow expert nor draw/shade my current eyebrows that look on point everyday. She hand drew my eyebrows without using templates or tools that other microblading artists use (a finding i observed during my research) however she did use a ruler on her phone to make sure the eyebrows were even and on point. She showed me what my new eyebrows would look like and after I gave feedback, she continued to work to perfect the outline. After agreeing, she started working on my eyebrows. In my opinion even though numbing cream was used, the blading part really hurt. I usually have high pain tolerance but there were several tears streaming down my face and clenching of fist and shaking of legs throughout the process. I'm glad that Kashia asked throughout if I was ok which shows she cares but I did not expect it to hurt as much. I was glad that it was over. She cleaned up my eyebrows and showed me the final look. I fell in love with them but had to lower my expectations per the instructions she gives you for after care. The color does fade and I ended up getting some areas that were patchy. Kashia said it was because of the one time I didn't put on ointment although I drove back home from work that morning to put it on when she texted me to put on ointment. The only downside to the healing part is not working out or excessive sweating for 7-14 days. That was painful especially for someone who works out 5-6x a week! I had to keep focus and discipline myself because I didn't want to impact my eyebrows in any way. I'm almost 3 weeks in after my initial microblading appointment and scheduled a touch up appointment in hopes that I'll love my eyebrows after Kashia does a little more work to it. During the last few weeks, my eyebrows peeled, itched and the color definitely faded which made me sad. Her instructions did help in explaining that this is a process and your first time isn't always the final product especially since she tends to go more on the conservative side (e.g. lighter color, skinnier eyebrows, etc.) Anyways hope to provide a follow up review after my touch up! read more

When we spoke to the employees, they immediately lied about calling me to confirm. NEVER received a call. However, on the morning of the appointment, I received a text confirming my 4pm appointment. Wow. They were completely unprofessional and tried to argue and tell me why they cancelled an appointment at least 30 minutes before the appointment time. They over talked and raised their voices. Just got my eyebrows microbladed by Kashia! I waited forever to get this procedure done so I was super nervous but Kashia took her time and made the process smooth. She would outline your eyebrows first before the actual procedure to make sure you like the look of it. She took her time outlining my shape according to my natural eyebrow line. So I felt bad when she had to erase some of it and do it to my preference but she was nice about it. She is very detailed, she will measure and look at every angle. My advice is to tell her what you like and normally do but listen to what she suggests since she worked with so many shapes before. Kashia is super nice and I definitely would recommend her. She's a one woman show running her business so you'll have to be patient but she is flexible. I already booked my touch up appointment next month =) My brows look really good yet natural! Had great experience here. Microblading is the new technique for getting the perfect eyebrows without any effort. My brows look fantastic and the best part, I don't have to draw, powder, or gel them any more. Owner Kashia Buks' skills are amazing! She is meticulous with her drawing and makes sure the brows are evenly matched as possible. Everything is clean and sterile from single use instruments to constant cleaning of the brow site, all the while wearing gloves and changing them as needed. But my experience here today was fr from good, I didn't get my eyebrows done because since I call to confirm the address this lady was EXTREMELY rude to me, being very sarcastic with her answer from the beginning. I decided to ignore her sarcasm and rudeness because I was waiting for this appointment for 2 months. When I got in, she gave me and my 11 year old son a very discriminatory look, saying that she didn't allowed any other person with the client, but she was going to make an exception, my son was playing a video game with his belly on the sofa, and she told me to please respect her sofas because we weren't at home... so I told her that he wasn't disrespecting her or her clinic, he's just a kid playing a video game... from the beginning she was a horrible person, I don't know if she is the owner or just an employee, but she needs to learn how to treat clients better. So I'm taking my business elsewhere, I'm won't put my face in her hands for sure, or pay her $400 to be rude.
