Wendelin has a limited bedside manner. Eventually, communication was compromised and it has hurt treatment and diagnosis. No longer able to continue in his care. On the spectrum. My impression. Their medical records are questionable, too. Techs regularly were lax in finding test results. Continuity of care poor. I don't think I'll forget the biopsy. Abandoned naked bleeding like a stuck pig. Putting a bandage on appropriately was left to my responsibility. read more

"Former" patient of Dr. Whidelin's. Overbooks his appointments - you will wait close to an hour even if you are on time. He has the personality of a sidewalk and is flat out rude at times. The most condescending person you will ever meet - he rolls his eyes while you talk to him. He is not that good - many derm doctors in town. See at last resort. Office staff seems to be aware - apathy abounds. A woman in the waiting room also said he has a horrible personality. BEWARE Update: I had to get my bank involved. 90 days later I got my TWO co pays back. That's right they charged me for a co pay to wait 45 Minutes then when I asked for a refund because I was done with waiting - they charged me a second time!!!! Office staff kept telling me that their records show I received my refund. Many calls later and with the help of L and N credit union (super bank) I finally got my $90dollars. Beware - do not use your debit card with these clowns. Use a credit card if you continue to see this group of docs - you will get your money back faster. I found a much better doctor with a competent staff. read more

I don't know about the practice as a whole since there are multiple physicians practicing here but my experience was with Dr. Daniel Wendelin and he was one of the worst physicians I've ever had to be treated by. I could hear him from the next room over rudely telling an elderly woman that he could do a certain procedure but she'd have to pay $150 like she was just another credit card to swipe. He was super short and super rude to me as well. The nurse who placed me in my room commented on the adderall dosage amount that I have to take for my ADHD and unprofessionally said how impressed she was by the dosage, like some college drug junkie. I'll never go back to this place. read more

I was really nervous trying a new Dermatologist. I have a history of skin cancer and need to get my moles checked on the regular. The Doctor who removed my skin cancer 10 years ago is in Danville and not convenient for me to see. I saw Dr. Loveless on Friday and he was great! He took the time to listen to my concerns and review my history. There was a very kind nurse in the room with us which made me feel even more comfortable. Fortunately, I had no suspicious moles or skin lesions. Yay! It was quick and easy to check out when I left and no one tried to sale me on products or other services. I think I have found my local Dermatologist. read more

I see Dr.Schrodt & needed to get my 9 year old son in but couldn't be seen 6 months. Dr.Loveless had a cancel so we scheduled with him. He was absolutely great with my son! He had some molluscum spots removed that was a very uncomfortable procedure. He talked with him & made him very at ease during the whole thing. read more

I love Dr. Schrodt and the staff. I've been going for years now. Doing PDT treatments. My skin looks fabulous. I highly recommend Dr. Barbara Schrodt. It's clean and easy to get to. Lots of parking. They take major insurance. I have sent countless friends and family to her. They love her as well. The nurses are awesome. read more

This place is horrible. The exam room was filthy, the floor hadn't been cleaned in a very long time, the sink was rusty and it was clear that this place has a very low standard for cleanliness. I would NOT recommend. read more

I made a new (pediatric) patient appointment for my 12-year-old daughter, and we waited for almost an hour to be seen. Even after I explained to the nurse that she was extremely modest and nervous about getting undressed for a full-body mole check, we waited an additional 30 minutes in the exam room to be seen, AFTER she undressed - which made her anxiety worse. Dr. Kahloon's lack of sensitivity made my daughter's anxiety skyrocket when it became apparent that she needed to have a small procedure done, and Dr. Kahloon undermined my attempt at soothing my daughter's nerves at every turn. My daughter left in tears. I am unimpressed with this practice, from start to finish, and in every way. read more

This practice has got to be the absolute worst. Their billing department is atrocious and their customer service is deplorable. They submit insurance claims multiple times in many cases and not at all in others They then bill the patient for their mistakes. I would never have any of my family go back to this practice. read more

My husband and I had appointments with Dr. James Loveless today. We both think we are very fortunate to be his patients. He is very professional, knowledgeable, and seems to genuinely care about his patients. Dr. Loveless is very thorough in examining and assessing any potential problems or areas of concern, and treating those that require attention. He takes the time to listen to you, and answers any questions you may have. We highly recommend Dr. Loveless and Dermatology Associates. All the staff were friendly and professional. We were seen within 10 minutes of our appointment time. read more

We came here to get our twins' ears pierced. The first time they appropriately pierced one child, but cartilage pierced my 6 month old baby. They removed the one earring that was cartilage pierced and told us to return to have it redone in two weeks. Two weeks later we return and they cartilage pierced my baby again. Rude and ignorant Dr. Kahloon was told to remove the cartilage piercing. She said she was going to remove it as a favor, but did not have to remove it. Excuse me, you are going to mutilate my child's ear and then refuse to remedy it? I firmly told the doctor to do her job. The doctor said it was too hostile being told to remove the earring and walked away. Additionally, she told me she did not tell us to come back in two weeks, when she had. Calling a patient a liar is a new one for me, but most unacceptable. The ghetto morbidly obese assistant acted like she was going to manhandle us. This place is GHETTO and ill equipped to function. For the record Dr. Kahloon did not remove the earring and just walked away. The first time Dr. Kahloon went into a plethora of excuses about her kid needing her ears pierced three times to make it work and 30 minutes of straight bull. I was not listening to it this time and just wanted my baby cared for properly. Dr. Kahloon is a liability as she lies and is ill equipped to mentally process facts from her own mouth. I will be filing a complaint against her license. Practices like this should be shut down. read more

I had been a patient at Dermatology Associates for years. I suddenly received a letter that I was being removed from the practice and to find another doctor. I called because I was for sure this was a mistake. Unfortunately, it wasn't a mistake. The office manager told me that I had an overdue balance of $59. I told her that I paid the $59 at the time of service and I could send her the statement from my bank. She then informed me that was also an overdue balance from my previous appointment. I had no idea!!!! I asked if she could understand my confusion. Unfortunately again, she did not understand and was very rude and nasty. She told me because I had that previous late balance and now another one (I wasn't aware I even had one overdue balance because I always paid the same day of service...for years!!!) that I was no longer a patient and to find another doctor. Thankfully, Louisville Dermatology (where my son goes) got me right in with their practice. My advice would be to change practices. Very sad because I loved the doctors. read more

I think the doctors are great... but I really think their idea of over booking makes people wait over an hour every single time you go for an appointment is absolutely ridiculous to me! My son has had to miss work because of their poor time management. Something needs to be done!!! read more

I am writing this review publicly because there is not a place to send a comment on their website and was offered no help in person. I couldn't be more disappointed in how difficult it is to try and be a client here. My poor experience is not a reflection of the doctors themselves, because they've been fine IMO. The organization of the office itself is a complete mess. They don't have enough staff to man the phones at the Cosmetic Center, so you can't ever get ahold of them. To book my last appointment I had to call 5 times over the course of 5 business days and never got a return call, just got lucky once and the lady on the phone apologized saying they were understaffed (I know that isn't her fault). Twice now they've completely lost my appointment with no explanation or even apology, leaving me standing at the counter looking like a dunce. How would I make up my own appointment date and time? It wasn't that I didn't enter it correctly and I had the wrong day or time... there was no appointment at all on their books. An appointment I specifically booked in person because there was an open house and I was told I would be eligible for a discount that day for cosmetic services. I understand this is a first-world problem but I for someone who actually has to take off work to drive in from Lexington to make an appointment I couldn't be more frustrated. I just want to be a client, why is it so hard? I'll be looking for another place to take my business. read more

Had a great experience at Dermatology Associates. The staff are very friendly and professional and I love Dr Nina Kahloon. Didn't have a long waiting time and all my questions were answered.
