They were both very caring and very informative with what I was having done. I had to go back to take care of another issue but Allison was not available in my time frame. I was then treated by Ruby De La Torre and her assistant and they were just as caring as Allison. I don't get the bad reviews. Some people complained about waiting too long in the examination room. She NEVER rushes me, and really takes time to examine me and answer all of my questions. She has never made me feel dumb, and has never made me feel like I was wasting her time. Her assistants are also very nice. Even though they are always busy, she and her assistants are always in a good/cheerful mood and can usually crack a joke or two. So, I would give her a 10 if I could!! With that being said, the front desk staff is 50/50. When I first started going (back in March 2012) the front desk staff was terrible! They were so rude. They wouldn't even acknowledge I was there or look up from whatever they were doing. Then while I was in the waiting room, they would discuss some inappropriate things...and everyone in the waiting room could hear them. However, on my last two visits, I noticed there was a different lady at the front desk. She was much better :) Wait time in the waiting room really depends on the day. Sometimes they get me in right on time. But I have had to wait 15-20 min before. They have a TV and a water cooler, so it's not terrible. Be advised, it will take a while to get an appointment. Don't think you can get one same day, or even the same week. They are a busy office. I've been to other dermatologists in the past, and Ms. Bernice Johnson is the best. She's worth the wait. I tell everyone about her and recommend her to all of my friends and family.

Neither one is a life threatening condition, but the eczema…read moreis painful, and the acne is upsetting, especially the scars the years of suffering from it have left on my skin. Unlike other dermatologists I've seen, Dr. Mandrea seemed to understand that I was there to get these conditions treated, not to be told that they weren't life threatening. I'm still going through treatment for both, but at each appointment the doctor has looked to see how I'm doing and adjusted my routine based on what is and isn't working. Wait time has been about average, besides one time when he was running late coming from another location. The front room staff let everyone know and gave us an ETA so we could run out to take care of what we needed to in the surrounding area.

When he finally showed up he spent a total of 2, literally 2 minutes with me, gave some orders to the nurse and left. The nurse filled out some info on her computer and left me to wait for the doc to return. Another 10 minutes passed by and he finally returned only to quickly tell me what he told me before. Then proceeded to give me the clipboard which I was supposed to hand to the checkout desk rather than him doing his own job.

My time is just as important as yours and I refuse to wait any longer! I realize things happen and you get behind, but you should politely let your patients know when they arrive that you are running behind and give them the option of waiting or rescheduling - don't just assume that we will wait on you! BEWARE OF THIS SCAM!!! I went for the weight-loss clinic and the unethical receptionist told me…read morethere was a $75 for the visit, which covered the visit with Bajaj, 28 phentermine pills and a b-12 shot, but it would be reimbursed if the insurance company covered the visit. I got an EOB later for a payout to Bajaj for $212. So I asked the unethical receptionist about the refund and she says "oh, we don't do a refund, but you can use it as a credit at another time." Look, your policy is your policy but it's not fair to charge me for the visit AND file a claim against my medical insurance as a visit when I was ONLY there for the weight loss pills. Bajaj and his office are running a scam. I actually feel that it's insurance fraud and people should be made aware of these liars.
