Stingy! Had the FX laser done to smooth out some bumps. The man there did the work. Bad attention to detail. Won't recommend.

Rude staff, answered my direct questions with evasive answers "depends on the doctor", "If the doctor decides". I'll pass on this one.

In search of a new doctor and Yelp is where I turn - once again my fellow Yelpers did not let me…read moredown. The pandemic has really impacted me and it is showing up in my skin so I needed help. And I found it! I have been here twice already. The building and office are both conveniently located so easy to get to both! Plenty of parking and I am always able to get pretty close to the door even when it seems full. The appointment process was pretty quick and easy beforehand over the phone. What I love most about this office is its efficiency: I am in and out! Many doctors are notorious for having patients waiting for close to an hour in the waiting room and then perfunctorily rushing us through an exam with no follow-ups. Not the case here. I came and began filling out paperwork and before I was done, I was called back to the room. I was seen and heard. I felt very taken care of and my prescriptions were ready that evening when I went to pick them up. The prescribed medicines have subsided my inflammations and now I hope I am on my way to healthier skin for what I hope was a one off due to the stresses and anxiety of a global pandemic. My follow-up visit was equally appreciated. I think I waited for less than five minutes after check-in and was seen in less than five minutes again after I was taken to a room. I have only seen Allyson the physician assistant and I am very happy in her care. I felt that she really listened and thought about a proper path forward. I also felt that she had compassion however subtle for how uncomfortable I was. I felt safe and comfortable which is important when you see your doctor. I hate feeling judged, ignored or not listened to by people who are supposed to be a help. Additionally, both nurses were efficient and courteous on both visits. I would highly recommend this practice but here are a few things they could do to improve even though I am giving them five stars... (1) I would love it if they were paperless upon check-in (this can be done beforehand online and/or in office via a whiteboard or a tablet/computer. (2) Although I was scheduled for a follow-up before I left on the second visit, I was not on the first visit - that would have been ideal as I had to call myself and was lucky enough after calling back twice to get into a cancellation spot so I could remain on time for my follow-up (3) My prescription was sent over but percentages/strengths were left out of the compound so this is delaying completion of my order. They were contacted in the early afternoon hours but it looks like they will not be returning the call until the next business day. (4) I always appreciate an obligatory hand wash when medical staff enter the room just to know they are keeping everything clean especially if they make contact with my skin. Again, highly recommended.

Still not seeming like it was healing right, we went to a different practice. He said it looked like a keloid and treated it, did not change, so he sent us to a plastic surgeon. He treated it to soften it for surgery for year. When he was able to finally do the surgery, he asked how many stitches the original derm (mindful) used to close the incision. They didn't use any. He said it looked as if some of the glue they used got into the incision and that is why it formed the keloid. I was so mad! Not only did we tell them it did not look right, but they obviously did not do a good job since they got glue in the wound. I have never gone back obviously, And while I did go there at that time, I will say they over charge for all of their esthetics. I feel they are more about money than how than anything else.

Extensions just go to voicemail. Went in and spoke to a Leticia, who was extremely rude. My contact information was originally put in incorrectly the day before when I had to go in because no one answers the phone and she had no patience to assist me with further issues. The Portal shows I have two appointments scheduled and she couldn't care less about that. "Don't know a thing about the Portal" was the response. Didn't offer any other help with my issue. I haven't even had my appointment yet but it's already been a nightmare dealing with this office.

He then asked for any concerns I have. I mentioned to him I have some Cherry Anginomas on my skin and he can remove them easily. He quoted me $150 for 14 spots. I decided to the light solution on 2 test spots. I paid the full $150 which is for a 14 spots (I thought I would pay like $22 for the 2 spots only). After I paid, I spoke to his PA/Assistant and she knew I wanted to treat the other 12 since I already paid for it. She spoke to the Dr. and he did not have enough time to treat the rest at the time and asked me to make a new Appt, and she would make sure it is documented I paid in full. The entire front desk heard it. Today, was my new appointment, and I was told by another PA that I need to pay another $150 to treat the rest, despite what I was told on Tuesday. SO, they could have taken care of the other 12 spots on Tuesday if they really wanted to, but in order to charge me again, they asked me to make a new Appt and lied to me. What a SCAM/FRAUD this place is. I already disputed the charge. STAY AWAY from this office. The American Greed at its best. Please go elsewhere for your dermatology needs

She not only helped me understand what it was she also prescribed me stuff for my acne. The staff was so very kind and informed me of what my medication does and what it'll help with.

Review (including her response)…read more ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Dr. Kingston and her office staff are consistently nice and attentive, always following up and returning calls promptly. I initially visited her to have boils removed from my skin, and aside from one instance where the stitching on the back of my neck burst, I healed well from each procedure. I returned after a bike accident left my lip healing unevenly, expecting sutures as she had done previously. However, during her visit with me (which lasted a few minutes) she informed me that she wouldn't suture my lip when requested because she's not the type of doctor that would do that. Instead, she injected me with a steroid to aid healing. I wish she had spent more time and reviewed the potential side effects, particularly the noticeable discoloration it would cause on my face. When I called about the discoloration, I was told to email a photo for her review. She recommended a prescription to address the discoloration, explaining that this sometimes occurs. Otherwise, I was informed that it could take months for the color to return. I wish I had been advised about this potential outcome before receiving the injection. Transparency is essential when consulting a professional, as full disclosure is necessary for informed decision-making. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Dr. Kinston's Response: You came in to see us just over 2 months ago to help with your lip scar, which in your photo has healed well. a few weeks after that- you called our office to notify us of the hypopigmentation and we prescribed a cream to use with instructions to return to our Office in person to take a look which you did not. I do expect the pigmentation to improve over the next few weeks, but it would have been better for you to come in to see us as we asked you to do. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ UPDATE (to Dr. Kingston's Reply) I didn't expect blatant dishonest; so, I will change the 2 stars to 1, since I can't select 0 or -5. To help Dr. Kingston's recall, I've checked my records. My initial appointment was on 6/26/24, and I called and followed up with an email about the issue on 8/12/24, which also indicates where the scar was (photo attached), which is also the date the cream was prescribed, with no follow up appointment. My initial scar was NEVER visible to someone looking at my face; so, I'm not sure what she's claiming looks like it healed. To her credit, it's possible that she's not being blatantly dishonest, but just never took note or was engaged enough to remember where the original scar on my lip actually was. Also, when you gave instructions for me to "come in": 1. Did we make an "appointment"? 2. If so, was I a no-show? 3. At what point between the email exchange (attached) and the prescription for a new cream (the same day)--to fix the discoloration the injection caused--did you notice that I no showed for the appointment you instructed me to "come in" for? 4. Is it standard for a doctor to prescribe medicine to a patient who refused to "come in" for an issue, as you instruct them to? There was never a suggestion or request for me to "come in." If so, I would have explicitly declined the offer. She does expect the hypopigmentation to heal "over the next few weeks." From when, 8/12/24??? It's still on my face as of 9/23/24. Nonetheless, I hope she's correct because it's extremely noticeable, especially in virtual meetings. Dr. Kingston, as a service provider myself, a call to your patient/former patient would have been more respectable, in my opinion.
