The staff at Dermatology Associates is always warm, welcoming, and professional. They are extremely helpful and pleasant. What a nice feeling to walk into this office! I was told I had rosacea , which was only half of the issue. I actually have severe dandruff and overgrowth of skin mites which the common diagnosis for that is "keratosis" I got so sick and my face got so messed up I ended up calling a random dermatologist who prescribed me scalp medication , two face medications and a bar soap. To say now I am better , but, you can't diagnose a skin condition by looking at a patient 10 feet across the room! The dermatologist I went to see at Westport dermatology, got up and close with my rash and actually asked me questions and sent me for bloodwork I just think, when it comes to conditions, it's important to seek other treatment options when one doctor fails to diagnose you .

The new doctor was 'fine' and really great for aesthetic things like botox, but after a few years I noticed that whenever I had a skin issue, what was prescribed didn't work and the new doctor would say what you have just an allergy. When I asked for a better time to call so I could speak with staff, I was told that they don't answer the phone because they don't have enough staff to handle the calls and that I simply needed to leave a message and wait for a call back. I told her that I missed their call twice already because of that policy. Who does that in today's day and age? I think that they can afford for one person to pick up the phone when the phone rings so that patients can get information and schedule appointments. Not impressed. The Dr better be fabulous or will go elsewhere. Need Mohs surgery for skin cancer.
