It had been approximately a year and a month on this day. I think it's bad for patients, and bad for business that they would refuse me my results especially when my diagnosis was relayed via the phone and the diagnosis was not going to change since I hadn't been treated due to Illness and taking care of sick and dying family members. They could improve greatly by being more compassionate about serving their patients and changing their policy if that is actually a policy with their office.

YASIR kept us waiting after other patrons were seen before us, though not scheduled before us. When he finally saw us he rushed us. Looked at my son's arms from afar. He didn't come close nor even roll up his sleeve. I did. No allergy test, no samples of blood or urine, and he didn't listen to my story. Just ordered a stronger cream after he asked me what medicine he was given. I said didn't you look at his records? He then consulted his assistant nurse. Yes he says and ignored my questions. The cream he ordered barely covered the affected area and lasted only 4 days. I called the office and all they did was demand 35 dollars. I had no problem with it but I needed the Dr to reorder or do more for John. When we returned for follow up..same thing. Before we were called I noticed only people of color left in the waiting room. Women and children. I was late this time but the other women were not..because I asked them. All those asked in 1st, were white or Hispanic. Then they noticed too. I left and told my M.D. I need a new Dermatologist.

I'm out of room @11:19. Picking up ointment at front desk @ 11:20 $28 Cicalfate now out of the office @ 11:21. Downstairs pharmacy @ 11:22 - 11:26. Prescription filled Xolegel covered through insurance @ no charge. In my car @ 11:27... We shall see! Update 1/18/17: after 8 uses (Friday night Saturday morning/night Sunday morning/late afternoon Monday morning/night [noticed spreading that evening] Tuesday morning - over a five day period) of Cicalfate the condition worsened. Contacted the office about refund and got an unexpected response... If Dr. Moore recommended it you shouldn't have caused a reaction - but I did. Rescheduled appointment for tomorrow morning to examine the condition and then they will discuss further treatment and/or refund. Update 1/19/17: appointment @ 8 am in signed in @ 7:50 in the back room @ 8 am Dr. Moore in @ 8:06 - 8:13... She indicated more steps to treat condition. There will not be a copay today since I was just in... The reaction to the Cicalfate could be to the higher level of inflammation. So, now she prescribed Elidel that should knock out the inflammation and then the Cicalfate should bring back the color. Moved original appointment from January 25 to January 30 to see if it corrects the reaction/condition. Informed to call back just as I did if it causes a reaction. Out of the office @8:16 in pharmacy @8:20 - 8:31 am for Elidel for $25. Alright...!

I waited only like 2min and then got called to the back to get my mole removed. First, they cleaned the area, numbed me (it was tolerable, the needles just felt like little pinches) & then they cut the mole out n stitched me up :)) My skin is healing up really nice. However, i accidentally hit the scar really hard and it bruised up again, but iced it and put cicalfate (skin repair cream) on it every night and it's fine again lol that was my fault oopsies i'm clumsy. But yea, i'm happy with the results, they did accept my insurance, but we still had to pay, but i didn't mind bc i wanted my mole gone lol.

This medication caused severe burning and irritation to her delicate skin on her buttocks-- something that should have been entirely predictable given her age and the potency of this drug. I cannot understand how a medication intended for serious adult skin conditions was given to a child without clearer warning or proper alternatives being considered. It was incredibly distressing to see my child in pain and not even been able to sit because her bottom was completely raw from something that should have been avoidable with more responsible and informed care. As a parent, I expected much more caution and professionalism. I would strongly advise other parents to NOT TAKE THERE CHILD HERE! Even her new pediatrician could not understand why a strong medication was given to a young g child!

From the beginning Dr. Berlin and his entire staff were professional, attentive and very personable (qualities you won't find much these days-Southlake office). My problem being BCC a rapid response was necessary. From first call to in the chair was three days. (also unusual these days). Dr. Berlin gave full explanations, looked at my biopsy site and immediately went to work. It took two slices and about two hours to remove the entire tumor. Overall an excellent experience for a distressing problem. If it were possible I would give him 10 stars. BTW, as a person of age, I've noticed that many physicians and their staff treat us as if "well you only have a few years left so you don't get the premium package". There was none of that nonsense from Dr. Berlin or his staff. He was First Class all the way.
