It's a quaint office in the back of the office park. Everyone I interacted with was extremely nice. My hygienist, Renee, was amazing. She explained everything she was doing and educated me so I fully understood. I thought my last place was great, and it is, but this is next level. When we came across some opportunity spots, I was encouraged by being advised how I can remedy the situation. Dr. Cowherd is great. Very warm, personable, and inviting. Both he & my hygienist reviewed my history fully and they had me review it one last time to ensure everything was captured correctly. This is a family establishment and I am looking forward to taking my daughter to her first appointment next week.

We brought him in to Dr. Whittemore, who was great and applied a treatment onto his teeth to arrest the decaying process. This treatment was only a temporary fix. As we knew his decay would eventually cause infection. So, time was definitely of the essence. This is where things got tricky, months later. We had an O. R. Appointment scheduled for surgery with dr whitmore to remove or put caps on his teeth (if the decay hadnt gone to his roots). Unfortunately i didnt answer my phone a couple times they called (my son had pneumonia in the hospital) and our spot was given to another child who needed an OR surgery. Basically; the only other OR surgery availability that Dr whitmore had was in February of 2022. This was way too far out and we didnt have that time so Dr Whittemore was extremely adamant on pulling out his four teeth IN his dentist office only using novacane. They were going to wrap him up in a "burrito" and pull the four teeth out. This sounded traumatic and i was very hesitant but yet everyone in that office was pressuring me to QUICKLY get this done. I definitely appreciated DrWhittemore's push to prevent infection. But In the back of my head, i kept asking myself "why cant he just call around to other dentists he knew that DID have OR time." Especially in our case when our appt was given to someone else.. I figured that was my job. And accepted that. Obviously dr whitmore pulls a lot of teeth and he felt our son could of handled this process. But i felt it was too much, and luckily, i spoke to a relative anesthesiologist about this in office event and he strongly advised against it bec novacane was painful in itself and it was just too traumatic for four teeth. It was better to do it in a hospital. So my relative gave me the name of a pediatric dentist who frequents the Hospital he works at often. Called and met this dentist, who said he believed we did have a little time (it wasnt as urgent as Whitmore's opinion). We got an appt in the OR for October. What's bothersome to me, is when we called to tell Whittemore's office that we were not going to go through with the in office pulling of teeth, they said they were worried about our son and they wanted to refer us to (the same dentist we just made an appt with!!!). Their concern was way too late. Again, They were wanting to pull my sons teeth out a long while before this call. They never even offered "maybe this dental place can do it". Again, I had been stalling with whitmores office bec it didnt feel right to me. So their concern felt upsetting. The best thing about this story and the thing i want to emphasize is that my son's roots werent decayed at all. This dentist was able to give my son caps. So he didnt have to be front of mouth toothless for the next 6 years of his life. This wouldnt of been possible had Dr. Whitmore simply pulled them out in his office. I also want to mention that in-office sedation can be dangerous too. Dr whitmore never offered that, but many dentists do. So, moral to the story- if it doesnt feel right to you, dont do it and look around. Thank god my relative helped get me this appt with this dentist.

Dr. Logan Veath is polite and knowledgeable. The dental assistants Akouri, Genesis, Lisa and Jenni we're all great! Super patient and calm with my kids. The really went above and beyond in making sure their dental visit went well. They make my children​ look foward to their next dentist visit.

I was obviously frustrated and let them know that by May she should have already had another biannual appointment and that we would not like to wait until then. Their response was that they could put us on the list for cancellations, or send us her records to be seen somewhere else. I was very disappointed in the lack of patient service, especially as this was all done over text, I did not receive one phone call over this matter. We will be seeing a new dentist, but I would highly recommend this practice re-evaluates their rescheduling procedures, especially when the cancellation is coming from the office's end.

The pain worsened and I took him the the urgent care right away since he was crying for 30min non stop. He was diagnosed with an ear infection. THe office manager called me to advise that I will be charged $50 for a no show plus they will not reschedule him, they will flag him as an "DNR". After I explained to her what the reason was for the no show (which I left a message for the office on our way to the urgent care) Cindy still insisted and said that I will be charged even if I had a doctor's notice. The crown eventually had worn a hole through it, and a cavity had developed. The doctor did the cavity repairs, and installed a new crown. That was several months ago. I had complained about the pain over the next few days. I began wondering at that point as to whether the doctor should have done a root canal. The doctor sent me to another doctor that "evaluated" it, and decided a root canal was not necessary at this time. I am on Social Security, and that second opinion cost me over $300 out-of-pocket. So now I have to find another dentist to fix this problem.

I'm so glad Country Club dental proved me wrong!! The front staff here is superb. They are friendly and available to answer questions. It has always been easy to schedule and reschedule my appointments. I also have not had any problems with them accepting my insurance. They even offer a membership plan so that you don't need insurance to have dental services here if you become a member! I was seen by Dr. Gray and his assistant Sammie. Both are absolutely fabulous. They are very friendly, funny, and personable. Two weeks ago I had a dental cleaning. Sammie was very gentle taking topical pictures of my teeth. I think there was another device used to detect the density of my teeth too. I was impressed (and never got this type of service in Chicago!). They really check for everything here! Dr. Gray thoroughly reviewed my teeth, X-rays, gum recession and density and photos of my teeth. I was really impressed with the examination and the technology used here. They really care about dental health. At the end of my appointment I was even given an option of a manual toothbrush or a sonicare type replacement head for my electric toothbrush. WHAT?!!? My mind was blown that I had these options! During my appointment I had mentioned that my Chicago dentist had recommended to fill cavities of two of my wisdom teeth and that I wanted to move forward with that procedure. I also mentioned that I was prescribed some special toothpaste to prevent further decay and wanted that refilled. Dr. Gray immediately called in the prescription to my pharmacy to refill the toothpaste and we scheduled another appointment for a cavity filling. Done and done! Today....two weeks later...I just got my two cavities filled and felt compelled to write this Yelp review for Dr Gray and his team at Country Club Dental (and these days I'm only writing reviews for those places that are truly special to me). I'm not the type of person that is usually scared of the dentist, but I was anxious today because of my small mouth and possible difficulty maneuvering within the small space. But they had all the tools necessary to make this experience SO EASY. My small mouth was not an issue at all and I did not feel any pain! I had to open my eyes every so often just to check if my mouth was still being worked on because I was so comfortable and didn't feel anything during the procedure! They also had a device (that amazed me because I never had it in Chicago) that allowed me to comfortably rest my mouth, while still keeping it open, and sucked up the particles/water in my mouth during the procedure. I'll be annoyed if Dr. Gray gets booked up because of this review but life isn't all about me so I'll be okay to share him and his team. ;-) I initially heard about Country Club dental from a friend who raved about Dr. Fung. I'm sure all the dentists here are wonderful but I'm sticking with Dr. Gray. =)
