I was very disappointed with my experience. We were seated all the way in the corner, which made it difficult to properly enjoy and see the show. Throughout the meal, one of the chefs repeatedly dropped a significant amount of food before it even reached our plates. Additionally, another customer was telling the chef's assistant to give extra food to a different family, and it seemed like our table was completely overlooked. It felt as though we were paying for food that was being given to others instead of receiving our fair portion. To make matters worse, when I requested lobster, it was mistakenly given to another family. I had to ask for it again, and it took quite a while before I finally received it. Overall, the service was disorganized, and the experience did not meet my expectations. The only thing that I was very satisfied was when my daughter got her face painted. The lady was very nice and the other lady did a great job on a animal balloon I really was happy about that.

Chef Harry cooking up a delicious hibachi meal!

My new husband and I are on our honeymoon in the Swiftwater Hotel and wanted to try the Desaki Restaurant. I love hibachi restaurants and the Desaki does not disappoint! Our chef, Harry, was so fun and such a showman and awesome cook, he and the staff made it the perfect evening! The restaurant and views are beautiful and the food was delicious! We are stuffed and each brought half our dinner back with us! Was it pricey, probably but we had a grand time. My husband had never tried a hibachi before tonight and he loved it too! I highly recommend the Desaki hibachi experience!

Best Hibachi Filet We've Ever Had - Even Beats Hawaii! If you're in the Poconos and looking for an incredible hibachi experience, Desaki is a must visit. We ordered the filet, and hands down it was the best filet we've ever had at any hibachi restaurant, including ones we've tried in Hawaii. The meat was incredibly fresh, melt in your mouth tender, and cooked to absolute perfection right in front of us. You could tell the quality was top tier from the very first bite. A special shoutout to our amazing waitress Kristi. She was warm, attentive, and truly went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time. Her service made our night even more enjoyable. The chef was entertaining, the staff was professional, and the whole atmosphere was fun and welcoming. We'll definitely be back next time we're in the area. Highly recommend.

Drove to this hibachi during our stay at a nearby indoor water park resort. It was overpriced compared to all the other hibachi spots I've been too. I ordered a gyoza appetizer and a chicken and filet hibachi combo. One of my daughters got a California roll and rainbow sushi. My man got the triple protein hibachi priced at $100. They have no dessert available, which sucked because we were celebrating a birthday. My food was of good quality besides the noodle being a bit thicker and unusual from other spots. I dipped my gyoza into the sauce and then dipped it in the red cabbage and carrot shavings, so delicious. Harry our cook was hilarious. My chicken and steak came out juicy. He made us a tasty home made spicy garlic dip. Our waitress was great. The area was spacious and clean. The bill was about $100 per person, would have been more if we were drinking. Although service and food were good, I would r want it to come again, because I like the other hibachi, just as good and better, for a fraction of this cost.

I came here w/ my family to eat & celebrate my niece's birthday. I should have checked the menu out before dining here. The prices are ridiculous. On the menu,it says you're paying for the quality food & entertainment. This was like a basic hibachi spot nothing spectacular at all. The food was not good. I ordered California rolls ($14.95)& a shrimp hibachi dinner($60+). The sushi rolls were small. The white rice tasted funny. The noodles that came w/ the dinner were so thick & soggy. The snow peas they served before dinner were so hard it wasn't edible. The onion soup tasted like faucet water. The only thing that was good was the shrimps(they were big) & vegetables. I didn't order any dessert b/c they didn't even have any. I gave this place 2 stars b/c of the chefs & our server Aylin. Aylin was one of the best servers I've had in a while. One of the chefs Harry Hibachi(that's what he goes by) was hilarious. The jokes kept coming. He made my niece feel very special. He kept giving her a birthday shoutout & singing happy birthday. Harry Hibachi had the whole table(there were 2 other parties @ the table) singing happy birthday to my niece. That was awesome!! The other chef was ok. I think he had a language barrier b/c he didn't talk much. Inside had nice decor but the floor was dirty! Overall, def will not be back & I would do a hard skip on this one if you're in the area. To the establishment you really need to lower your prices especially w/ all the competition out there & clean your floors! I feel like they put their prices so high b/c it's only about 3 miles from the indoor water park. That's not right at all. They add an automatic 20% tip to your bill as well which I didn't mind b/c I usually tip about that much anyway.

I had a good time at desaki. I couldn't really get over the prices tho. Bit steep especially for a family dinner. That's the only gripe I have. I started off with the bacon wrapped sea scallops for an appetizer. They were pretty good. For the main course I had the emperors choice. Chicken steak and shrimp Served with egg fried rice. I enjoyed that. Can't beat fresh off the grill! The show they put on while cooking was interesting and effortlessly done! Over all i had a good time and i would recommend them.

First of all, the green beans were very nice very salty and cooked to perfection. I don't know if everybody gets them, but I think so when you start. I got the strawberry lemonade. It was very good not too sweet and not too sour so I approve next we had the spicy tuna rolls these were very nice delicious taste and texture. I really enjoyed them with a beautiful clash of soy sauce and wasabi. Sadly, I forgot to take a photo of these, but I recommend them they were great and lastly, the hibachi came out. I got the lobster. It was really delicious and I enjoyed every bite and savor it. It was very filling so expect to have a box if you have two items ordered anyway I recommend this place Tremendous service and delicious atmosphere.

This was the worst meal ever. I ordered the Filet Mignon at approximately $55.00 The presentation was nice but the meat had a disgustingly spoiled meat taste to it. I complained to the waitress, Hunter, who advised she would speak with the manager to see what could be done. I patiently waited for her to return. I watched her continuously do other things and never came back to address my issue. I called her over and asked what was the manager's response? She stated that he watched the meat be cut earlier and knew it was fresh. She proceeded to tell me I could speak with him. I told no thank you because he never came over to address the matter. I advised her I would not be returning. The attached photo is what I left on my plate minus the 2 pieces of spoiled meat I consumed. On a scale on 1-10 I rate this place a negative 1.

WAY overpriced. $40 for vegetable hibachi. Then 3% fee to use a credit card, PLUS an automatic 20% gratuity for 2 people. NEVER AGAIN.

I'm glad the food was as good as the reviews I read before coming! We came a little short of an hour before they were closing but the place was lively with 3 other groups of people. Every 2 people shared an order of the fried crispy egg roll which was very good! They are known for the Bun Bo Hue which not a lot of places serve. It was delicious, flavorful and packed with lots of meat. Two of my friends got the Signature Pho with all the different types of meats and it was very good too. I got a grilled pork chop with beef rice vermicelli soup. The grilled pork chop was not too fat and perfectly marinated and grilled. And I'm glad it was on a separate plate rather than in the same bowl as my noodle soup. Then two of my other friends got some rice dishes and they looked yummy too! The Thai iced tea was standard - not too sweet, but not too strong either. Would like to try their other unique drinks next time! FYI - The restaurant has two spacious unisex restrooms for customers in the rear and parking lot in front.

We ordered a Vietnamese coffee, summer rolls, and pho. The Vietnamese coffee had a nice chocolatey flavor, since they were using Trung Nguyên beans. The summer rolls had pork and shrimp which was nice. I got the large combo pho, so it had all the different meats. The broth was average, but i didn't like the rice noodles. They were overcooked so they broke apart as I attempted to pick them up with chopsticks. Pretty average pho overall.

The staff was very nice and seated us promptly, we were sat at a table that was booth on one side and chair on the other but it was an extra tall bar stool type table. Soon as I sat down the sun was right in my eyes. Yes only a small nuisance till the bar tender shut a blind (because the bar folks were effected) but there were so many empty table. Why sit us at this table ? There were plenty of other tables that would not have had this issue. Not sure why the hostess would not know not to use this table for this time of day. Other then that the place was very clean and a normal pub type atmosphere. Nothing super special though. We started off with an appetizer called the "Texas Twinkie" - okay. I read "twinkie" and think some form of cake/bread with a filling. What we got was more of an egg roll. The outside was either a wonton type wrap or a tortilla then filled with brisket, cream cheese, cheddar cheese, jalapeño, and BBQ sauce. This was very delicious but definitely misleading in the name and the menu didnt really describe the item, it only give the name and listed the ingredients. I bring this up because we also ordered the traditional pizza.... what we got was more of a flatbread and pretty bland as well. Super basic bread with a lack of flavor marinara sauce and cheese. Also the sauce to cheese ratio was sad. You can tell this because all the cheese on the slice would come right off with 1 bite. We would not order this again based on the price and what was served. I also had the French onion soup. This was pretty well done. Not to salty, no crazy cheeses added. It was well balanced and was worth getting. My partners entree was the barley creek whiskey BBQ sauce on chicken tenders. These were just ok. The sauce seemed more tomatoe based then normal for a BBQ sauce and again just wasn't what one would expect from the name whiskey Bbq sauce. I am sure people do like this place but it wasn't very impressive to us. 3 out 5 stars is a fair rating as service was good for the most part, the place was clean with a decent amount of menu options, but the execution of the food lacked and the menu names are definitely misleading for the items we had ordered.
