The fish was fresh and flavorful -- honestly, that alone could have been worth the price. The avocado salad was light and refreshing, and the appetizers we ordered were all delicious. We also tried two of their signature rolls. While the flavors were decent, the pieces were a bit too large to eat comfortably in one bite. A smaller cut would have made them more enjoyable. Service was excellent -- the staff were attentive and prompt in taking our orders. My only suggestion would be to expand the dessert options beyond just ice cream, especially given the price point. Beautiful restaurant, magnificent decor. We love one piece and dragon ball so this place is a gem!!!! We are always in the poconos so this is a wonderful surprise for us. The food is delicious too! Every item on the lunch AYCE menu, we tried was yummy enough, some better the others. The lunch menu was ($24.95) beverages not included like the $3.00 cup of tea. You are provided with a menu from which to chhose from. There is an all day dinner option ($32.95) which includes everything plus the special roll menu. Children 4-9 years old pay ($14.95) We had the following: miso soup, 4*s, avocado salad 5*s, salmon rolls 3.5*s, beef with udon noodles 3*s, crab rangoon 5*s, gyoza 4*s, chicken on a stick 4*s, shrimp tempura 4*s albeit they were very small compared to what I'm used to in New York, shumai 3*s, salmon avocado roll 3.5*s, Inari 3*s, steam dumpling was warm, should have been served hot, but I'll give it a 3*s, shrimp with garlic sauce 4*s, fried chicken wings 4*s. The portion sizes are small; but it gives you room to try more menu options. The service was great. Staff was attentive, and professional. The place is very clean and parking is convenient. Just not good. On vacation from out of state and ordered here due to the high reviews. The crab rangoon tasted like just sugary, no crab that I was tasting. I am an eel lover, and when I repeatedly ordering them from the menu, they started to bring me very small piece of eel with nearly no meat just pure skin which is pretty ridiculous. 2. First time trying the latest entrant at the old Pizza Hut site in Mt. Pocono. They were offering All You Can Eat for $32.95 per adult. Overall the food was great, though service was spotty. Our young server seemed new to waiting tables and it showed. However, the manager was very active checking on tables so it all worked out. One of our items was missed (Rainbow Roll) but they brought Crunch & Crush roll instead. As it was All You Can Eat, we tried that and it was pretty good and certainly unique with the peanuts, asparagus, lobster salad, shrimp tempura in soy paper. Definitely would have preferred a rainbow roll though. They forgot my husband's salad and we had to ask for it later, would have been better to have it served with my kani salad, which I would order again. The house salad dressing was not a ginger dressing as we hoped but was also good. They did not have iced tea but brought us hot tea (which they could have probably offered over ice?). We tried various sushi as pictured and the Sweef Heart and Fashion Roll were my favorites. We wanted to finish up by trying hot entrees... my husband got Beef Broccoli and I ordered Chicken with cashews. Mine just never came and we asked a couple times and finally it was clear the order did not get put in correctly. By the time it came my husband was done, so he ordered a Sessme Chicken for good measure. That was actually the best of the 3 hot entrees we tried. The decor is fun with lots of colorful anime, you can forget you're in a Pizza Hut building (almost). We will definitely return and enjoy a new local option for sit down Chinese service which is lacking here, and another sushi choice. read more

We tried Mt. Palace for the first time last week and were pleasantly surprised. This will likely be our go-to for Chinese food. By far, this has been the best Chinese food we've gotten in the area, and the only place where the beef was actually tender! I got the seafood Delight to go and it was horrible and way overpriced. The lobster was clearly round chunks of imitation lobster not real lobster and it was completely tasteless. I am not a fan of soy sauce but I had no choice but to use it because there was seriously no taste at all to this meal. If I was not on my way to the casino sports bar to watch a game I would have returned it because it was nowhere near the rip off price of $26.50. I have gotten Thai & Chinese seafood meals that contain lobster and they come with a very small lobster tail but at least it is real lobster. I should have just gotten the shrimp and mixed vegetables from the Chinese restaurant in Mt Pocono for 15.00 it has a lot of shrimp, great flavor and is a bigger portion. NEVER AGAIN will I spend my hard earned money at this place with bland, false advertising ingredients and way overpriced meals. And might I add that I was still hungry after eating this entire meal that I had to drown in soy sauce. The 15.00 shrimp meal down the road I can`t even finish and actually get 2 meals out of it. I usually order Sushi. This time I ordered the chicken teriyaki bento box which was completely fried which I didn't expect since I used to get it elsewhere and it was not fried. I will be back because generally the food is very good and the place is clean, I just would steer clear of the bento box. If one likes fried food, it's fine...just know that it's fried. Disappointed with our meal. I ordered the Shrimp Tempura bento box dinner. Two shrimp and the rest was vegetable tempura which I'm not a fan of. The bento box was supposed to come with soup or salad; I got neither. My husband ordered General Tso's chicken. It was over done and was barely edible. On the plus side- the pork dumplings and shumai were very good as was the dragon roll. They also offer all you can eat sushi. The restaurant was crowded. The restaurant has only been open a short while so maybe they're just trying to get the kinks out. We'll try again in a month or so. read more

This place is great! My family and I were up in Tobyhanna for a little getaway and saw Mt Palace while sitting at a red light. We decided to try it out the next night. There were 7 of us and we were easily accommodated. It has an all you can eat option for $33 and $15 for kids 9 and under. From Chinese to Japanese cuisines, everything was delicious. Everybody can share with each other which was great because the portions were big for an AYCE menu. Maybe the best lo mein I've ever had. Servers were very attentive and fast. The decor was great for the kids as it had anime statues and figurines all over the place. For bigger parties they add 18% gratuity which is fine. We added an extra tip. I got the chicken fried rice which my onions were completely uncooked. As I asked again for it to be remade they brought back the same meal pretty much. The lunch I ordered which was the lunch special decent price rice rice was good the shrimp was good what I ordered was shrimp and broccoli for me the sauce was a little too sweet but the other three people I was there with liked it. I hope they have more of a selection for lunch for seniors. I like shrimp chow mein so I would give it another try one other thing one other thing it was noisy afterwards the end as people were coming in sound when you have a lot of people in the room was not good to carry on a conversation. Ok I have never been in a more confusing setting to order food anywhere like this plavce, and Ive done both the lunch and dinner. Lets start with the fact that they don't have a buffet table, if you order ala cart at lunch or dinner, you have to order each item you want. At Dinner, at 35 dollars no less, your seated and given a laminated copy of things you order. Now understand this-you have 90 minutes to eat, you must eat everything, you cannot take home leftovers or your charged, there's no sharing, you get a huge portion, of lets say you wanted chicken and broccoli, now you have to remember that if you order more you have to eat it. Because if you don't, guess what..they charge you. All this is happening as a waiter is looming over you asking you ready to order next? Doesn't help with anything else just looms over you waiting,,,Now here's about the food, its the same food as the buffet down the road-If your ordering the basic dishes its just made fresher not sitting in the buffet tray,and now here's the real faux up-Sushi should never ever have lettuce in it, especially yellow middle core of the lettuce, and the rolls there are very loose. And again they give you such a huge amount that you cant order anything else because you'll incur more costs. In honesty, they put this place together to keep out unwanted clientele, plain and simple. They can smile all they want, Im on to them and I wont be back. Spend your money elsewhere. read more

Four friends went to Mt. Palace on Monday to celebrate a wedding anniversary. We had heard about it being newly opened and decided to check it out. From the start our visit had a rocky start. We were only presented with menus with all you can eat as the only offering. We were not interested in spending $35 each on an all you can eat menu, and had to ask for a regular menu. Each couple ordered an appetizer selection, however we only received a half order of each. The waiter offered to rectify but our eggs rolls came out, so we told him to cancel the appetizer order. There was a table of people in the back corner that were so loud, they were actually yelling. We commented to our server about the noise, but nothing was done. The food was delivered in a timely fashion and it was very good. However, if you are interested in having a dinner where you can have a conversation with friends, this is not the place for you. How an establishment can tolerate such loud, raucous, disruptive behavior that affected the enjoyment of other guests is difficult to comprehend. This may have been a one time incident, but we wont be returning to find out. read more
