Basic Deseret book. Helpful people. Very easy with refunds. The one downside is that it's really hard to get to. Not the easiest location.

Such an awesome little boutique bookshop. We spotted it from a block away and had to stop in. Prices varied, many books were full priced but also consider that you're supporting local. Only one person appeared to be working on busy Black Friday but she was friendly!

After visiting this shop several times and never seeing the actual owner's face, I can honestly say…read morethe customer service for this shop stays hidden behind a tall counter, with her head of black hair down and eyes averted, let's start with that. She sits huddled in black, like a literal fly on the wall. Now onto the selection of sexist, queer stock of merchandise that greets every customer who enters in--including small children who don't need grooming on adult sexual preferences. In fact, I don't appreciate any shop that alienates my husband--who's also the one buying product on my behalf. He's in his final semester of school before defending his dissertation and obviously loves the written word. But between sage piles for exorcising spirits to stacked candles meant for exorcising whatever is straight in a man, I felt there was a vibe of anger and resentment in a room that should've been welcoming, given the warm fairy lights framing the children's section. Feminism sits in a collage of frames on the lower ceiling, but it felt as fake as the plastic casing it. Books should be a safe place for everyone, without bias. Men and women are not on this earth to constantly compete against each other but to complement one another. We won't be back again, nor will our children.

My friend just moved to the area so I decided to stop by. This is a very dense shop with lots of…read moreawesome books, metaphysical items, crystals, and jewelry. The overall vibe here is very positive and uplifting, to say the least. Every time I go into a metaphysical or book store, I just wander around to see if anything calls to me. This time around, I ended up purchasing some Palo Santo. Jenny helped me out at the register and was such a sweetheart. She has such a sweet aura! If you're interested in getting a reading or healing service, call ahead to schedule an appointment. There are plenty of services that are offered, including psychic and Tarot readings, reiki, and iridology (intuitive reading of eyes). Definitely looking forward to coming back!

Be aware: You can't get to the bookstore off of Hampden if you are heading East.
