I love World Market, but this is probably one of my favorite locations. We came about 15 minutes before it closed, but we made the most of that time! There's so much to love in this store. They have a ton of fragrances and decorations for the home, body care products, ergonomic products, and of course my favorite section, the international foods. They had both a travel size and a full size jar of lavender honey, which is something I've been looking for for years, so I had to get it. I also found this cute little teeny tiny travel-size bottle of Tajin (Because no cucumber slice, mango slice, or pineapple chunk is complete without it!), and some international snack foods that I have been struggling to find back on the East Coast. I left for the few other things as well but these are my favorites! The staff were really patient as we made our final selections and headed towards the register. They could have rushed us out, but instead they just started cleaning up and as soon as we noticed, we immediately made our way to check out. The cashier was very friendly and kind, which was the capstone on an already fantastic shopping experience. I wish we had more time to shop, but I think our wallets (as well as my limited suitcase space) agree that it was just enough. read more

So many treats and items, so little time and money. They carry snacks and foodstuffs from Asia which I miss so I like to look at all the shelves in case they have a treat from my childhood. This makes it a long visit :) And my wallet doesn't like it either. The holiday gifts and stocking stuffers you can get here are endless. Something for everyone. I bought some stocking stuffers and the Christmas crackers which you pull the ends and there's toys inside. The variety in those was mind boggling. There's racers, cat toys, the standard paper crowns and trinkets, and even a make your own. I wanted to do that but it's expensive for just the kit. Ended up with a set that has bingo in it so we can play that after pulling the crackers. The cashier was polite and they have a rewards program if you shop here a lot. Parking in shared lot. This is a really fun store! I've been getting more of my patio stuff here since Pier 1 closed. Today I went there for a giant roll of cellophane, which surprisingly was cheaper here than Amazon or Target. Christmas stuff is currently 75% off, but I am well-stocked already. There's decent wrapping paper and some rather ugly ornaments. It's an open and airy store, with logically grouped departments. Great cookware, baskets, and PIZZA OVENS! The food section is pretty awesome. There's all kinds of exotic coffees, French presses, and Chemex. I was delighted to find Hello Kitty food!! I adore Hello Kitty. There's also a great selection of Pho and other noodle bowls to make at home, plus Italian cured meats, spices, and all manner of snacks from around the world. I got a bottle of Liquid Death in Severed Lime. It's not bad. This location does not sell alcohol. They do have a lot of coffee syrups. Service is friendly and efficient. Prices are fair. Sales are great. Spa area is pretty nice, lots of bath soaks and soaps, as well as bath mats and shelving. Nice card selection, too. read more

I always like coming to World Market because of all the cool and unique things they have that reminds me of my travels abroad. Especially in the food section since they have things here that can only be found at a World Market location. Its like traveling down memory lane and I find myself getting lost in my own nostalgia wanting to get one of everything. Good store if you want to explore things from other countries. read more

The first credit card purchase I ever made (a bed frame and bench to sit at the foot of it) was at a Cost Plus location. I've been hooked ever since! I walk in and immediately think of all the fun ways I could use everything in the store; and this location is no exception! ++ The staff is super friendly and make great conversation at the registers and offer help throughout the store. ++ Everything is organized or stylishly disorganized (if you know what I mean) throughout the store. Always love the cute displays they make showing what pieces work well together. Can we talk about how much I want a blue velvet chair now? Cause it's a lot. ++ While the prices are higher than I usually want to spend; I know the quality of the products will last. The above mentioned bed frame and bench lasted me a solid years before I decided it was time to redecorate. ++ Cost Plus isn't just home decor! They feature a variety of food and drink items from all over the world! Love that I can find some unique cooking items for my world cuisine. If I could, I would cover ever inch of my house with an eclectic assortment of pieces from Cost Plus. Cost Plus World Market is amazing! Went there for the first time this week and I think I must have spent at least 45 mins just walking and looking around at all the different items that they sell. As other reviewers noted they don't just have items for decoration or furniture. They also have a ton of kitchen supplies, interesting trinkets, food items from several different countries, really pretty bath towels, etc just to name a few! I do think that some of the decorative items are a little pricey, however, I was pleasantly surprised to see that the food items were actually very, very affordable and very reasonably priced! If you join their rewards program you also get 15% off your first order or you are given the option to postpone the discount to another time! Truffle and Salt... I had been looking around to find it and BINGO!!!! 12.99 at Cost Plus. They have a wide variety of things from everywhere. As I walked the isles I was taken to several different exotic locals. The store was as orderly and clean as could be. The staff was more then willing to help you find whatever or even let you know if it existed in their 4 walls. I have often come in for gifts and little things I was certain I could not live with out. Everytime is like the first time. The colors and the music, oh and fresh coffee at the door is amazing. I can wander in to get a "few" things and the new inventory gets me to stay for an hour, not to mention, influences my buying habits. I mean it, I go in here and wander and come out with stuff I never knew I needed! My favorite stuff has to be thier great Christmas decorations (if you are looking for something out of the ordinary) and their spices + teas. I love to walk the aisles and just get ideas for decorating and entertaining. So much fun! I only knock off a star at this one because the parking lot is always crazy and if you are reading this anytime in the spring/summer of 2012 know that the lot is completely torn up and impossible to get around (I mean ripped out concrete and bulldozers torn up). I've always had a great experience at this location until today. I was waiting for my husband to pick me up because I was having car troubles so I couldn't sit in the hot car (81 degrees out) with my small dog for fear of my dog overheating so I had a blanket and placed my dog in the cart on my blanket so I could do some shopping, which is something I have done at this location before without issue. Immediately I was hunted down by Jeff, the angry and rude manager who immediately asked me to leave because all of a sudden their policies have changed and they no longer allow dogs. I understand if the policy has changed, but you could at least be nice about it. He glared at me the entire way out like he had a personal vendetta against me or my dog. This guy needs to work on his customer service skills. I was already having bad day and his attitude was not warranted. TJ Maxx and HomeGoods welcomed me and my dog so no loss there! read more

Cost Plus World Market is a great place to find gifts for the 'hard to buy for' person. I stopped by here a few days ago and did not come away empty handed. Most of their products are imported from India or Thailand and have an Asian theme. I thought the prices were ''OK'' but there were not too many bargains. The furniture and decor on display was a bit banged-up, which made me worry about it's condition if I bought a piece. Also, some parts of the store didn't have a lot of variety in the merchandise (colors, sizes). I'm sure I'll be back again despite any drawbacks the store has. read more

This place is pretty neat. They have items from all over the world. Supposedly. Lots of decorating items. Yeah, those are cool and all, but if you want the true secret to Cost Plus World Market, head to the back! That's where you find food and drink from all over the world. Note that the price tag labels will state what country the item is from. Items that don't have a country were likely just made in America with international roots. They have it all. Sauces, pastas, canned food, and my favorite: candy! You can spend a lot here, because let's face it, international candies are really awesome. But do beware. I have seen certain items at my grocery store for cheaper. It happens, but when it comes to the variety offered, Cost Plus World Market usually can't be beat. We're going to Germany soon, and my daughter is practicing German to get ready so I thought it would be fun to get her some real German candies and have her read the package. There is also a great big wall with beverages, mostly from America. There are always a good variety of root beers to choose from. Those are my favorite. read more

This could be the perfect browsing store. Kitchen stuff, furniture, home decorations, cards, jewelry, bags, artwork, bath stuff, and FOOD! I love that they have such a great assortment of European candies and chocolates. And, they have a large selection of teas as well. Over the years, I've gotten numerous things from Cost Plus. What pops to mind first is my lovely dining set and coordinating bar stools. They have their Christmas stuff out now - ornaments, cards, decorations (fun!). And, for what you get, Cost Plus is very reasonably priced. The only down side is that sometimes it can take a while to get help if you're trying to buy a larger item, but I'm totally willing to track someone down when need be so not a big issue for me. This one used to be my goto, but then i moved, and then the one near cherry creek moved, so it was actually easier to come down south for a day of shopping than to try and locate the new one (ok, long story, longer) They always have something you don't need, something you must have, and something too cute to leave on the shelf! Worst customer service ever!!! I have shopped World Market for many years and just moved to the area. Every World Market I have ever been in valued their customers but this one. The girl at the register who checked out my very large purchase had an "I could care less attitude" and when I asked her to bag my pillows she tossed the bags at me and I had to bag my own purchases. At a time when other businesses are providing extra services like curb side pick up to keep customers happy and their business open, this is ridiculous!!!!!! read more

I really like World Market. I especially love it when they have a sale on their flavored syrups. I recently found Sugar Free Brown Sugar and Cinnamon. it's makes your coffee taste like a Cinna-Bon. Which is truly delightful without the calories. I love that they have a wide variety of English candies. Again it helps keep my husband from going crazy for nothing getting his English Candy fix. I ran into Cost Plus for the first time today and if i hadn't been starving I may never have left. I've always been drawn to this store and gazed lustily whenever we've driven by the Boulder location. I didn't even know we had one in the area until a few months ago when I randomly drove past. Yeah, it took me months to get there, but I'm SO glad I did. Jewelry, art, wall decor, table settings, dishware, cookware, outdoor decor . . . . these are just a FEW of the samplings of items in the store. Much of their product has an ethnic flair and I could fill my house with all of it!! I walked out with some Pumpkin Spice lotion ($3.99) and a pack of 4 wall decals that I've searched everywhere for. Actually, I wanted the prints and didn't even know they came in wall decals. The 4 prints were $20 - they're doggie themed bakery/food ads featuring Labs and Pugs. SOLD!!!! I could spend HOURS in this place, from the killer furniture, amazing jewelary prices, yes as low as $5 for earrings and their fun old school kid toys. They also have such a fun selection of food, coffee, drinks and candy. this one is...not so much. i went in on a stormy nice this last week in search of bridal shower hostess gifts and gift bag fillers for our wedding. i wandered for quite a long time and found some good stuff including ernest hemingway teas (perfect for my parisian ex-pat of the 20s themed wedding) for gift bags and downton abbey teas (perfect gift(s)) for my bridal tea party hostesses. however, i needed more tea bags to fill my gift bags and the guy helping me seemed distracted and like he was really trying so hard to be nice to me - like it was painful. then, i waited almost 10 minutes at checkout for a price fix (half the teas were marked $10.50, but were coming up $11.50). i felt bad for the cashier cause she was so uncomfortable. she was sweet ,but she had to page a manager 3 times and kept asking coworkers that would come by if they had seen one. all this said, i did not get my rain check for the teas - i forgot about it - and will have to go back. when i do, however, i'll go to the cherry creek location. their staff is more attentive without having to see the effort behind it. read more
