What a lovely second-hand boutique! If you're a shopaholic like me, Dog Junkies is a great spot to shop with purpose. This small business supports an animal rescue, while offering clean, boutique items. They often run deals (see their instagram), and have a great selection of gently-used clothes (with great brands), bras, shoes, decor, jewelry, furniture, and even an outdoor section with many planters and kitchen gadgets. It felt so well curated, making me wonder who in Vegas is donating here! The store reminded me so much of my favorite California shops, nothing like the other thrifts in Vegas. I almost want to gatekeep Dog Junkies, but they have enough to go around. A true local's gem in North Las Vegas that I wish I'd tried sooner! read more

Hey Yelp friends! This is an interesting thrift store that supports the non- profit dog rescue and adoption organization "A Home For Spot". This was my first time here. I was out here for a training and since I was on this side of the valley I thought I could thrift around. I'm so glad I did. This is the organization we adopted Toby through. So cool! I pulled in and right away there were two ladies outside that greeted me and they kinda explained where everything was and that they were closing soon, so just start looking around. I noticed they have a bunch of pet supplies. I picked out a few things for Toby. The set up for this shop is in a house. The walls outside have cute murals. The inside is loaded with dishes, clothes, and stuff. I found a few unique scarfs. I took a few pics, but my phone died and I didn't get as many as I usually take. I will be back next time I'm out there. I definitely suggest checking them out. They had quite the variety of items for sale. Inside there two of the nicest mother and daughters. I am so glad we have places like this to support such important things like animal rescue and adoptions. I really admire these people for having such big hearts and devoting their time to such a worthy cause. Please check them out when you are in the area. You can get some good deals! read more

Great store and for a great cause! My first visit was to drop off donations (which must be dropped off before 2pm most days they're open) and then of course I ended up wandering around the store. Lots of wonderful finds, many items in great and well cared for condition. Prices are reasonable, not the cheapest for a thrift store, but there are some incredible finds. The store, inside and outside, is very well organized, which was really appreciated. I didn't have to rummage around to find things through a huge pile. Nearly all items are neatly arranged on shelves or hanging up. Each staff member I encountered was also very kind and courteous. I would highly recommend checking this place out. read more

After my recent interaction with the staff at Dog Junkies I've changed my mind about them. I came here with my mom many weeks ago and she wanted to know if they offered a senior discount. The response my mom got was that because there was other people "abusing the senior discount" by having other family members use it was that they no longer offer it. Really? So you're going to not make as many sales and refuse giving discounts to other seniors because of 1 bad apple? A better business move is to ban the people who were doing this and still offer discounts for the rest of the seniors who are not abusing the discount. The only thing my mom ended up buying was a sugar bowl and we put back the rest of the items. After hearing that ridiculous store policy it's clear we won't be shopping nor donating here like we had wanted. As of today, I do not recommend shopping here, even if you're not a senior because I have also seen higher prices than usual. This is sad because I genuinely loved supporting their aim at helping animals in need but their policies need to change. Sadly it's 2 thumbs way down for Dog Junkies. read more

We were in Vegas for a short trip and noticed this thrift shop near our Airbnb, so decided to pop in, especially after seeing all the 5-star Yelp reviews. To be honest, we were a little disappointed. While I love their mission of serving dogs, the shop itself was pretty overstuffed with "stuff", and it was hard to find things. For example, the clothing racks were so full it was very difficult to even sift through to find things. And the clothing wasn't organized by size so that made it even more difficult. They did have a lot of kitchen and household decor items, but the prices were all over the place. Some of the pricing was outrageous (like $20 for something I could buy new for $15), while some was very reasonable. The whole experience was just pretty unpleasant. This is an amazing gift shop. All proceeds go to the animals. I have found so many treasures there. And I have donated many things to help feed the future fur babies. A home for spot rescued my sweet doggie Dandy over a year ago. He's changed our lives in soo many ways. Today we visited dog junkies, we found soo many things, ranging from hallowen decorations to decorative rocks my son just had to have! We had a time limit so we even missed some aisles. They had some good things to choose from, selection mixes up a lot. The staff was nice, helpful when I had a few questions. Some things were a bit costly, others were cheap. I suppose you just need to go through the things and check back often to look for deals. read more
