Stopped in to buy some dog treats on a long day of adventuring for the pup. Nice store, run by nice people on a charming street that makes you feel you have stepped back to a bygone era. They had toys, leashes, a bathing area and treats, but we didn't see a selection of dog food. It's possible we missed it, but if not, the store should consider stocking some. read more

Since Ridgecrest doesn't have a chain pet store and it's usually over 100 degrees, I was very happy to find this store on yelp, after taking our new little stray pup to the vet. It's a small pet store with large prices, but the owner/employees there were über helpful and sweet. I didn't realize they also have a doggie wash station, where one of the employees will give your dog a nice wash. I went to the store to grab a can of wet food and some soft chewy treats for the pups and found both. The wet food selection is towards the back of the store, pass the bath tubs. This pet store definitely has the essentials of what you'd need but the only downside is there aren't too many options. read more

Locally owned and operated. Their prices compare to the larger stores, they have quality products and they're respected members of the community. We use the dog wash station, too. Very convenient, they provide everything including dryer. They have a rewards program, too, so there are some occasional discounts and free baths! read more

Great place to get dog and pet food and supplies. Friendly business owners. Our dogs love the treats that are sold from their counter. They carry fresh and other quality dog foods. Free parking in front of their store. read more

:Great place! I forgot what the lady's name was, but she trimmed my dog's nails for $10. She did was the vet couldn't do. It was literally impossible for anyone to trim my dog. She calmed her down, and my dog made a friend. I recommend checking this place out. They also have self bathing stations where they provide everything for $14. read more

This pet store is awesome!!! They have great prices on my dog's favorite raw hides, they have three great bathing tubs that are easy to use and their products left my dog and our friend's dog smelling wonderful and super soft. Griselda, the groomer, was wonderful and very gentle as she trimmed their nails and her blow dryers rock. A really outstanding place to walk in and explore with your dog and the caliber of their customer service has been consistently excellent every time we've come in (four times). In particular, the owners of the store helped us bathe our dogs and handed us the aprons, towels, shampoo, conditioner, ear wipes, etc. so it was easier to get everything done quickly. read more

I love this place! They carry the dog food we feed our GSD. The owner is very nice and helpful and the store is very clean. It also has thinga for other types of animals; cats, hamsters, bunnies, guinea pigs, etc. I love that they have a self service dog wash! read more

This place is great. It has literally everything for my dogs but they also carry things for reptiles and birds too.They have a great selection of food and toys and lots of things to help keep your pets healthy and clean. I love their washing stations. A great price too. They are cute and open and it doesn't feel like you are taking your dog to an institution. The staff has always been friendly and helpful. I have four cats who work hard at eating me out of house and home. Two have sensitive stomachs, two are overweight. Buying cat food has always been an ordeal for me. Frustrating and expensive. The owners of Desert Dog Pet store know their pet food, and will take the time to talk to me, recommending food choices. They really care about finding the right food for my cats. Best pet store in Ridgecrest! Kraken our Cane Corso enjoyed his bath and was at ease along with our backs. GREAT top of the line professional shampoo, conditioner, and even a facial wash without the harsh chemicals that foam up and are difficult to rinse clean. Perfect assortment for all breeds with aromatic scents that pets enjoy too. Loved the blow dryer with brush end. The tub height, water pressure, and temperature were perfect so he didn't feel the need to shake water everywhere. Scrubbing brushes, ear wipes, and comb out tools made for a thorough wash to finish. Gone are the days of the bathroom covered in hair or the yard and hose method that leaves us all miserable! Kraken had the best bath of his life and I've tried many other self grooming tubs in other states. I happened into this little store a while back looking for a good quality food at a fair price, but what I found was a lot more. When you walk in you are pleasantly surprised at how clean this pet store is! Also the fact that they have tubes in the back for baths but the store doesn't smell like wet dog, my hats off to whoever keeps this place in tip top shape! It is in a small building so they don't have the variety that you get from the bigger pet stores. However, you can rest assured the products that they do have, have been looked over several times to be assured they are the best quality for your best friends. They also do what they can to support a lot of animal related things in this town. I remember a couple weeks ago they had a donation area for the RC Animal Shelter and back before it was built they had another jar for the dog park. I go into this store about once a week to get my pets some yummy Merrick canned food. The owners now know me and fondly greet me every time I come in. They ask me about work, my pets and my life in general which is always nice. If they have a new flavor, they will put a couple aside for me to purchase when I come in for my weekly purchase. This little store is truly a treasure and if you have animals you should stop in and see what they have to offer! From treats to toys they have a good variety and people that care! read more
