My rescue's first groom in Ridgecrest. Groomers failed to shave his paw pads, threatened to charge us more money for every bit of time we couldn't pick him up (I was at work and they never told me that we would be charged for time left at the groomer in advance when I dropped him off (we intended on picking him up 3 hours after we dropped him off) and the groomers acted extremely annoyed because he was barking (shocker-dogs bark). When we arrived to pick him up, he was tied to a wall in the corner and not secured in a kennel. The leash tied to the wall was so short that he couldn't lay down. We paid for his nails to be trimmed and they were awful. The unfriendly personalities of the groomers and the money we spent to get the treatment we received-no thanks. Spend your money elsewhere. I'm impressed by the great prices and level of service here! I called and they didn't answer(I figured I'd call back later), so I hung up, but the lady called me right back! I was so glad she did because she was so nice and had a great shampoo recommendation for dog, my dog has been itchy since her bath at another place. She first recommended an oatmeal bath, but I told the woman that my dog had been itchy since she had an oatmeal shampoo 2 weeks ago, to my delight, she recommended a tea tree shampoo. I had a couple other notes about my dog (arthritis in her back hips, no anal glands, my dog is old) and she actually listened and was able to bathe my corgi girl that morning. I have a senior corgi that I am constantly traveling with, so I get her groomed every 2-3 weeks and this has been my favorite place thus far. The best part is that when I picked up my dog, she wasn't distressed or in a hurry to leave(which never happens!) and she was clean! Great service! Btw, I had called another place in town and they quoted me $50-70 dollars for 23lbs dog bath!!! I said NO thank you. read more

Do not take your Dog here! My mom (who lives in Ridgecrest) took my dog here to get a simple clip. They were overbooked and put her in kennel right away. Then they didn't call when she was done, so when my mom stopped by 2.5 hours later to check on her and they had her back in a kennel. She then proceeded to get super sick; high fever, shaking, not eating for the next day and a half. Clearly from a virus she picked up at Bark Ave. AND she didn't want my mom to touch her shoulders or back, because they had CUT HER SKIN all over. I figured this out when I got home and felt scabs everywhere. A week later, and the cuts are finally healing, and luckily she got over the virus she picked up from there too. DO NOT TAKE YOUR DOG TO BARK AVENUE! read more

I've gone to Griselda a couple of times and she is such a sweetheart! She loves dogs and she is great with all of them! I was worried the first time I took my puppy because he had never been groomed before but she did an amazing job and he looked so clean and fancy afterward, I had to return! Second time around was even better: my pup was so excited to see her that I knew he was in good hands! She's an expert at the puppy cut and lion cut from what I've seen, and she did a great job with my dogs nails: no blood, no pain, no problem! :) I will definitely be returning to her, especially with her great prices. For my small dog to get the full treatment, it only cost $40 (a package she calls "The Works") and it is definitely worth what you pay. My Babies just came back from this spot and they look awesome. I'm happy we found a dog groomer here in town. We just moved here and my dog's had an amazing groomer in the Bay Area. These ladies were super friendly. They had to do a close cut because my two Shitzu-Mixed pup's were matted and a mess from a dusty summer. They didn't nick-them anywhere and did a great job filing down their nails. They even sent them home with some treats and little handkerchiefs! Adorable.
