It's a small pet store with large prices, but the owner/employees there were über helpful and sweet. I didn't realize they also have a doggie wash station, where one of the employees will give your dog a nice wash. I went to the store to grab a can of wet food and some soft chewy treats for the pups and found both. The wet food selection is towards the back of the store, pass the bath tubs. This pet store definitely has the essentials of what you'd need but the only downside is there aren't too many options.

When I took my beloved Aussie, Chloe, in to them today for her summer "haircut," I asked Sherry to check her paw, as Chloe had been limping lately. Sherry discovered there was nothing wrong with her paw but suspected from the difficulty Chloe demonstrated in getting up on the table that the problem lied in her hip. Sherry added she could tell from Chloe's behavior that she was also in pain. Sherry carefully adjusted Chloe's "beauty" treatments to ensure she could groom her without causing any pain. While she was busy doing that, I got on the phone with our vet and described Chloe's symptoms. He said he suspected the Pet Boutique was correct in their assessment, told me I was lucky to have taken Chloe to such observant and caring people, and advised me to bring Chloe in asap. I can't thank the Pet Boutique enough for their help, wisdom and advice. They attended to Chloe for 4-plus hours and she looked more beautiful, relaxed and happy than I'd see her look for months. They even insisted on lifting Chloe into the back seat of my car so she wouldn't have to jump up and hurt her hip. All this for the grand total of -- wait for it -- $31! You can't go wrong with these wonderful people. Look no further for 5-star pet grooming if you live in Ridgecrest. If you don't, trust me on this: The Pet Boutique is well worth the drive. Very disappointed with our experience here. We brought both of our dogs, Brady and Casper, in for…read moregrooming. Our groomer was Xiomara Pina. We were told that Brady was barking and moving around, and his haircut came out terrible--uneven and poorly done. If Xiomara was unable to safely or properly groom him, I would have preferred that she stop and let us know rather than send him home looking like this. When they called us about the situation, I specifically told them to just bathe Casper and not cut his hair. However, I still expected him to be properly washed, dried, and brushed as part of the service. When we got him back, it did not appear that he had even been properly brushed. I understand that some dogs can bark or move during grooming, but communication and professional handling are part of the job. If they were having difficulty grooming Brady, I would have appreciated being contacted before continuing with a haircut that came out looking this bad. We paid expecting our dogs to be properly cared for and receive professional service, and unfortunately that was not our experience. Very unprofessional and extremely disappointing.
