I just want to change my star rating to one, because now they took away free WiFi and they kept the prices the same for the stay. Also, they really need to cut trees back. We can't open up our awnings

Great, clean, safe place to stay! Located on Nellis AFB, it's massive--well provisioned, well kept, and well staffed. Of note, it's not on the main side of base, so the commissary, gym, BX, and Nellis Club are all across Las Vegas Blvd.

Rainbow at the Desert Eagle RV Park! We struck gold here ;D

Good place to stop over when near Las Vegas. Laundry was cheap, campground and bathrooms were clean. Helpful staff.

After you park, you can load up a wagon ( that they provide) and cart your stuff to any table you choose. There are a FEW tables that are reservation only but mostly all of them are first come, first serve. Grab your table and set up your spot. Be smart with your valuables as they will probably be out of eyeshot most of the time your floating. Of course, you can just float directly in front of your table if you want. However, the water has so many little spots to explore - don't miss them. SAFETY! You swim at your own risk, there are about a zillion signs that say that. If you get hurt, the liability is 100% on you! For that reason, just be safe, watch your kiddos. On my last visit, as I was taking the top steps into the water - I slipped and fell HARD. Turns out the steps had some pretty slimy algae growing on them. I alerted the grounds staff and they took the time clean ALL THE STEP immediately. I thought that was pretty cool. Be safe, care about others, respect the nature and you can get the grounding you need to relax and rejuvenate. The world needs your magical positive energy - juice it up here.

Beforehand, you might want to do some research and watch current videos on IG, TikTok, or YouTube so you know what to expect. We finally made it here on SATURDAY, JUNE 6TH to escape the Vegas heat. It's an hour drive from Las Vegas, so we left at 8:15 am. We arrived at 9:15 am to a line of other cars thinking the same thing...we were already about 20 cars deep. The park opens at 10am to 6pm and it's $30/person for adults. There are about 50 parking spots inside that the workers will direct you where to park, and there are complimentary wagons to load up your belongings to bring to your picnic spot. Top priority for everyone is to cool off in the 100-foot 80 degree river, and snag a great picnic spot. Most prime picnic spots are along the river and come covered and fully equipped with a grill, tablle, chairs, and a garbage can. Restrooms are clean, and there's also a shower as well. For us, swim time in the river was OUR priority, so we packed lightly(cooler, chairs, towels, bluetooth speaker, and water flasks. We brought snacks, ice cream, and poke for lunch. Went for our first swim at about 10:30am Had a Poke Bowl lunch at about 11:15am while lots of people were still slaving away in the heat over a hot grill trying to get lunch cooked for their families. Went for a second swim at Noon. Not too many people swimming as lots of people were still eating. By the time 1-1:30pm rolled around, the river was a madhouse with all kinds of music blasting, and people just having a great time. We decided to call it a day and packed up our belongings then headed back to Vegas. A fun day was had, and yes, we plan to return. Now you know before you go!

A single table site is $25 and a double table site is $50. The odd number sites are reservable online. But there will be an extra service fee. The even number sites are first come first serve and they have a card paying machine onsite at the front of the overflow parking area. I think any numbers below site 25 are more spread out and less likely to be bother by noisy neighbors. Best site is probably number 41cos it's the top of the loop. We originally booked 33 but the site is so close to the neighbor and they had like a 40 people birthday party with a gigantic RV blasting that loud generator noise directly to us. Luckily the camp host was doing his runs and we get to ask him if we can change the site. We quickly changed to an even number site and it was so much better.

My husband and two year old packed up and prepared for a camping trip, knowing that it's a possibility that the campground would be full. But to drive around and see at least three spots being saved with just a chair or just an umbrella or just a cooler was so disappointing. Someone even wrote notes on the camp spot's post saying "NO SAVING SPOTS, camp site must be occupied each night that it's paid for"...and one even had a note saying someone's unattended chair blew away into someone else's camp spot and caused damage to their property. All because people left their belongings unattended at a spot to save it for someone else. We went back early the next morning to see if anyone had occupied the spots yet....and nothing. From 7pm-7am it was an empty site. The campground host was very rude in her response and not accommodating at all. The whole purpose of first come first serve is not so a chair can occupy the site all day. Very disappointed. Waste of time and gas.
