The best thing about traveling in a campervan is the ease, flexibility, and ability to make detours if needed. We picked up our Kuga Campervan in Las Vegas. The Travelers Autobarn office is just west of the the main strip and easy to find. We arrived early in the day to begin the registration process and campervan orientation. The process was quick and easy. The Kuga Campervan is a hightop van conversion with couches, a table, two beds, propane stove, sink, water, kitchen, interior lights, fan, window shades and solar power. We also had the free living package which included kitchen pots, pans, utensils, cups and accessories. It also included sleeping bags, sheets, pillows and towels. The package pretty much made it super easy to get in the van and go. The Travelers Autobarn staff member was super friendly and provided an orientation of the basic operation of the campervan. The campervan drives like a normal van, but learning about the camper functions was helpful. We had charted a route around Utah and Arizona visiting a number of towns, parks, roadside attractions and hot springs. The day that we started a weather system passed through which made the temperatures drop in the northern part of our route. We simply flipped our route to avoid the cold weather and traveled the southern route first. By the time that we circled north the weather had warmed up and it was perfect weather for exploring. Traveling in a campervan made it super easy to be flexible with our route and schedule. On our seven day trip we visited Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument, Horseshoe Bend National Monument. Monument Valley National Park, Arches National Park, Mystic Hotsprings, Zion National Park, Cedar Breaks National Monument, Meadow Hotsprings, Valley of Fire State Park and Fremont Indian State Park. This campervan camping adventure opened up my mind to new opportunities and travels. So much fun! For more info: https://www.travellers-autobarnrv.com

Location is the one in Vegas on Wynn Road.We picked up our mini van to head across the country to Ohio. We have waited a couple extra months because the rental vehicles are through the roof. 900 dollars we are paying for this van. For 14 days. We pick it up and this is the condition it's in? This company is based in Australia and they shut down a whole country for the COVID delta variant. You think they would take more pride in cleanliness and sanitation. I spent an hour and a half cleaning and vacuuming this van. It smelled like body inside. You know like unclean body. There have definitely been no rags or any cleaner put through this vehicle. The window looked like it had feet prints on it. I'm glad I didn't shower before picking it up. First and last time renting from this place. Shame on them. Hopefully we make it there and back. We also noticed when I was putting gas in it in Arkansas that the plates are expired. I checked the registration and they expired a year ago?? The vehicle started to overheat a few times and I'm sure it's because it has 144,000 miles on it??? The steering wheel would shake violently sometimes when braking. I'm assuming the rotors are warped on the front. Travelers should be ashamed of themselves. Letting someone take this vehicle and drive it. We actually are returning early because I don't feel safe driving any longer. They have agreed to refund our money for the remaining days. I don't think that they would have let someone drive this vehicle if they would drove it before they gave it to someone. When we mentioned the plates were expired. They said they knew that??? Wtf

We had a great experience with our Travellers Autobarn camper van and have already started planning our next trip in the fall.

Ask the Community - Travellers Autobarn

    Are the kuga vans automatic?

    Yes, automatic transmission.

How does the solar panel work?

Hey Corrine - the solar panel charges the 2nd battery and as such provides energy for the fridge, lights and USB plug-ins in our campers ;)

Do the Kuga Campervans have a toilet?

Hi Jane, thanks for your question. No, the Kuga campervan does not come with a toilet. They are compact vehicles so, in order to utilize the space in the most efficient way possible, we have not fitted them with a toilet. Thanks!

We've now rented from Road Bear twice for trips around 2-3 weeks long. Their rigs are in excellent…read morecondition and on the occasions where we did have an issue (there's always going to be some issue with an RV when you drive it for a few weeks), their customer service line and related support was great. We definitely plan to rent from them again!

Rented a RV 21 months ago B-WAC-2253177. The trip an RV was a disaster, but I never wrote a review…read moreabout it because Road Bear was going to do the right thing and give us a redo trip. Just called today to set up our trip and how lucky for me they "updated" there system and any old reservation from 2023 and back are no longer in the system. The trip started fine until we reached the RV park at 12am. No water hoses, sewage lines or TV cable for full hook ups, NOTHING. Next the slide pop out had trouble opening. Next the fridge stopped working and a strong smell of ammonia was coming from it, next the CO2 alarm started going off and never shut off. The alarm was so loud (and rightfully) so the RV park made us leave. We then had to rent a hotel for the duration of our trip. The 1800 roadside service number I called had me on hold for over a hour with finally no one to service us. This all sounds like the worst experience right? Yes, but I was told my account would be noted and a redo trip was appropriate. I didn't want my money back. I wanted exactly what they said they would do. Family trips are not easy and not something we can do every year, but 21 months later and a baby later we decided to have another go at RV'ing. I've rented before from Road Bear and every time we had a issue they solved it, but now with "The new system" I'm screwed? So when you rent from them babysit and double check their work, make sure everything is working and all equipment is ready and if you have any issues just know they will fight you now tooth and nail on their screw up thanks to the "new system". I was told by someone I was clearly bothering that an upper management person would reach out to tell me in a higher paid voice I'm SOL.
