I tried calling all around but other repair shops seemed confused or estimated a MONTHS long waiting period. [1st Visit - January 2022 - Fixing Nintendo 3DS] I first visited this video game repair shop back in January 2022 and my Nintendo 3DS wouldn't turn on. The owner inspected the device and said he will send it to another specialist(s) to fix it. He quoted $99.99 repair fee (parts included) and I was all good. Unfortunately I didn't receive any updates for few months. I did personally stop by the shop few months later and the owner said parts haven't arrived yet (that was during the time when inflation peaked at 9.1% in June 2022 due to a backup of shipping traffic). After more than a year (March 2023), I brought my original receipt and asked for the status update. The owner said he had trouble reaching out to me when my 3DS was finally fixed. The owner apologized for taking it this long and gave me a discount on repair fee ($65.00 instead of $99.99). At long last ... I finally took my newly working 3DS back home. [2nd Visit - August 2024 - Fixing Nintendo Gameboy Advance SP] Recently I re-visited the shop again and wanted to see if it was worthwhile to fix non-working Nintendo Gameboy Advance SP. The younger staff couldn't resolved the issue, but the owner said "try giving it a new battery" and the device magically worked. I asked the owner whether I can just sell my Gameboy Advance SP instead and I was quoted $30 (cash or store credit). Since I didn't want an extra hassle of selling it online (average sold price was $65 via secondary resale platforms), I just took the cash offer and left. [Conclusion] Overall I had one good experience and one meh experience, so it averages out to 4-star. The shop also sells various game cartridges from different game consoles so definitely give this shop a look if you are hunting for a specific game. P.S. - Please note that the original invoice stated that items for repair must be picked up within 90 days from the date of completion. I came to this lousy video game repair store in September and met Ricardo the owner of the store, i showed him a broken PS1 5" LCD monitor, the video wasn't working, He assured me 100% he could fix it and he would need 2 weeks to fix it so I told him take 3 weeks if you need to, the first month passed with no respond so I called and another worker told me he was out of town, I called 2 weeks later then he started with the lies and excuses that he needs to order the part, I waited another 3 weeks then he told me he remembered having the part but needs to find it because he was renewing his business and he had to clean up to find the part after I called on November 15 and he told me that he came down with the cold virus and he would get back to me after thanksgiving but he never did so finally I had to call him back because he was avoiding me, instead he texted me that he was still sick but he was lying to me and I have all the text messages and I snapped pictures where you can see what a bullshitter this person is and you can see it for your self. Do not do business with this liar he will give you the run around and give you a lot of excuses and bullshit. This is a second reply to the owners reply. If that was the case you should have explained it to me and I would have taken it to a much better professional technician but instead you wasted my time for almost 4 months. I took the monitor to get it fixed as soon as the mailman delivered it back to me, in 1 WEEK the other technician fixed it with no problems. Here is the proof. Gamestop referred us to this Video repair and we're so happy they did! My grandson had a USB 2tb for his Ps5 that wasn't showing all his downloaded games. He tried all troubleshooting tips and nothing worked. We went back to Gamestop to see what they would recommend but of course they do not repair anything. So they referred us here, and they were able to diagnose and fix his USB and didn't charge us for the diagnostic test. My 1st visit was my brother looking for an old video after searching all day and going to different places and messaging randos on Facebook market and offer up we ended up here. Ever since me and brother only buy our games here. Another time customer service was great when I came to get my PS4 slim cleaned. Unfortunately (and embarrassingly) it had roaches the guy there was so kind, told me honestly not worth paying to clean it and he can buy my PS4 slim for parts and sell me another PS4 Slim. He opened thanksgiving day it was supposed to be a little over $200 but he rounded down. Seriously, this place is awesome. I'm a deaf costumer and l repeatedly told Ricardo, the manager, to speak using the voice to text app to communicate with me but he continued ignoring what l said and talked with loud voice looking down on my disability. He tried to give me a very low price for what l had that was video games in excellent and working condition for trade or store credit but he offered me 1/4 of the value when l showed him the value through a reliable source. So he is selling above online market prices like eBay, like 20% more expensive. I just wanted a fair deal. He came with a deal that l was willing to accept to support the business, but because of the disrespectful behavior, l refused it. That deal was 50% of the market value of the 10 games l had a couple of really good games. Horrible store manager and l totally don't recommend this place, better go to Game hog or other one. Totally unprofessional and the guy is an ignorant enabler of audism. LA doesn't deserve bad people. read more

i first found this place in fall 2023. back then, i had the first-generation ps4 with one controller with a worn out analog stick and a scattered collection of used games and accessories from different consoles. a few weeks ago, there came the time where the wlan (wireless local area network) card kept giving out and crashing the machine. i took the situation as a sign to look into repair and/or upgrade. i could give a five-star rating off just the variety of games and consoles available here, but their repair services and turn-around time are also worthy of mention. as of writing this review, i've gotten help with upgrading to ps4 pro (and to ssd cause game assets are crazy these days), repairing that one controller, and trading in unused gear to fill out my ps4 library. i've not had an unfair transaction, and they are more than happy to provide options and details. between finishing some of these games and the arrival of the updated ps5, i'll visit again, no doubt. read more

I highly recommend this place! The staff is polite and helpful. The service was quick and efficient. I brought my PS5 in to have an HDMI port replaced and they fixed it in less than 2 hours. Even though it's not the closest repair shop to me, I'd go back for future repairs because my first experience was that pleasant. They're usually swift with repairs and have fair prices. Employees are nice For the selection of games: they have a variety from switch to the original PlayStation to Nintendo 64. I had been having problems with my Nintendo switch joycon not connecting. Ricardo was helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. With a few minutes he was able to show me the issue: a loose rail where the joycon connects to the device. Great service! Had a problem with our XBox One not ejecting the disk. Tried to do it manually and that still did not work. System was having a few issues with loading the disk before so something was up. Called 3 different places. One place told me it's cheaper to buy a new system than repair it. Another place told me they needed to look at it and it would be probably between $100 to $150 to repair and would take a week. When I called Desert Island and explained the issue they told me it was probably 1 of 2 things. And quoted me prices for both. And they had the parts in stock so it would be same day repair or next day. Took our unit in at about 2pm and it was ready by 5pm. Price quoted of $65 to replace laser reader was the price I paid. This is the only place you need to go to repair any of your gaming consoles. read more
