They stand by their work and fixed it again, this time with no further issues. They know their stuff, and back up their work. They gave me a reasonable price and as well a complimentary diagnosis of the problem before fixing. The whole staff were incredibly nice and patient which is hard to find in game shops. I really recommend this shop for repairs ! I brought in my son's ps5 because he and his friends dropped it from a high place when they were horsing around. It worked for about a month after , then one day it would randomly lose signal to the tv after turning it on for about 15min. I thought the Ps5 was done for, but bros game shop was able to bring it back to life. They updated me as they worked on my ps5 and I was able to ask any questions I had. Not worth it, do not go here. Super slow to get anything done, prices can change even after you are quoted something, they would not reach out with updates I had to keep calling them for any updates. Took them several weeks on something that was supposed to take 2-3 days. They ended up making my ps4 worse: I had a disc read error before, was told it could be dust in the disc reader. Brought it here to get checked out, the shop was recommended to me by another tech shop. This business took apart the disc drive, said a replacement wasn't working so they would need to try different parts instead. Tried to get me to buy a refurbished ps4 instead of repairing mine, this was super upsetting because why would I want to spend more money at a shop that can't do what I originally paid them for? Now the disc drive wont even take in a disc, it would take a disc before it just had a disc read error. Ended up taking back my ps4, requested all original parts returned into it. I would never go here again, and recommend people avoid bringing anything here for repairs. read more

Yo! Shout out to my girl Sally, she's got more patience than anyone I've ever met. I came up to get an old PSP inspected to potentially fix. This PSP belongs to my deceased brother, I was hoping to fix and give to our younger sibling. I came over 30 miles just to find out all I needed was a charger. My sister bought a DS from a Book-Off we went to and later she found out the touch screen was not working. I started looking around for anyone who could repair it and came across Bros Game Shop. My daughters PlayStation 5 began showing a signal stating "no HDMI signal" and a black tv screen. I searched Yelp and came up with Bro's Game Shop in the city of Torrance. As a Torrance business owner myself, I am a true supporter of small businesses in the city of Torrance. I spoke with Sally and explained what was going on with the play station. I was told they will check it out and I would be contacted with what was going on. Also the prices for service was pretty reasonable. Took my daughter's Nintendo switch to get it fixed as it was one of three places in Torrance that will repair game consoles. I choose this place because of the great customers reviews in regard to fixing/repairing consoles. The staff are knowledgeable and took their time to repair my daughter's switch while keeping me updated through text message. The switch started to display an error code 2101-0001 which is usually associated with a T92 chip. Brought in to the shop to get this chip replaced as I don't know how to solder. The shop replaced the T92 chip and also replaced a blown chip which was the major cause of the error code. I would recommend this game shop if you need to repair your console. read more

One of the easiest tech shops I've ever been to!!! Very helpful and informative. I came in to fix my PS5 which had a problem with the hdmi port. While they were fixing it they sent me updates through text message with photos attached to it. Extremely fast service, they were able to give me my ps5 back the very next day. Super easy process to pick up back your console or whatever you come in for. I came in again because I couldn't turn on my PlayStation due to me not wanting to fix the power button ( I know that was a dumb move by me ) so when I asked if they can turn it on, they went to go ahead and do it no questions asked. So my HDMI wouldn't read for my ps5, I called several shops for them to up charge & request 3-5 business to fix my console. Bro's Game Shop was speedy and excellent with their services. Not only were they able to fix my HDMI issue, I also had an overheating problem they took care of for a low price. About 1.5 years late Sony refused to do repairs on my PS5 due to "negligence". The housing for my fans got rusty. Came into this shop more than a year ago to repair the fan housing and had 0 issues since. The staff was awesome too. read more

My ps5 randomly died and they fixed it for cheaper than Sony would have fixed it for and MUCH quicker. They literally fixed it within 24 hours. Took in a PS5 with no sign of life. First time it's ever happened to me with a console...Sally was quick with a response on Yelp messenger. She had a hunch right out the gate, shot me some estimates for the repair if it was for what she thought. I took my console over and she confirmed with me and told me she would order the parts as soon as possible. Quick turn around time, got my console in like 3 business days fully functioning. Bros game shop is a nice mom and pop shop located at a small shopping plaza. The vibes the shop gave me were of the shops that used to exist before online shopping and amazon were a thing. They specialize in classic and retro games from atari all the way up to modern consoles. I believe they also repair consoles. I would say the thing that impressed me the most was the collection of NES games they had. They were not pushy and were willing to help if you had questions or were searching for a particular game or accessory. I ended up buying a few psp games. Brought my ps3 with yellow light of death. Quoted me 120 . Then he said the disk was not working so it would be 200 total asked him if it was worth it and he said yes. Dint last more than 30 minutes before it came back. Took it back with the 3 month warranty. They tried fixing it and kept it for almost 2 weeks and could not fix it. They says they would credit me 120 and they would keep my system. I was like wtf does not does not make sense fix it or give me at least half my money back and my system. They said no. Ok so I was like ok I'll go down and see what I can get. And a of a sudden the system worked. Ok took it home and again it dint last more tan one hour. This review is for my ps3 not sure how they do on other electronics. The repair part of it looks cluttered so would not come back or suggest this place. Not cool man I was super patient and understanding since I know electronics don't always work. Gave them all the time in the world to get it right and they failed. Be well all!! owner of the store I did everything right! I paid on time!! I followed the instructions gave you more than enough time and it failed after no longer than one hour of use.
