When I was there, they were in the process of repairing all of the outbuildings due to a recent rain storm, so I didn't get to see any of that, which was disappointing, however, the lady at the front desk was super nice and the exhibits inside the building where Very informative. Learned a lot about the Cotton industry in Nevada, who would've thought, as well as storage of nuclear used material in the local mountains and nuclear test sites nearby. Definitely recommended as a stop for anybody who happens to be in this quaint little town for whatever reason.

There are exhibits on the cotton industry (using the water in the aquifers to support agriculture) and the atomic bomb tests conducted nearby. There's a small native plant garden outside focusing on local plants, with lots of cool cactus. There is a lot of local history...but there is just one display with a few Native American artifacts. Admission and parking are free, although donations are accepted.

I couldn't see any restaurants open while I was there either. What bumps the review up a bit is that the bartender was friendly and I had a pretty decent cocktail there. We spoke up and then she changed her mind, told us she WAS going to offer the previous deal but now offering 20% off drinks(1 coffee). Utensils were dirty also, we asked for a new set. This was a two day school and there was plenty for me, as the non-driving spouse, to do. There's a gym, pool, clubhouse, Viewing towers, ride along opportunities, and paddle boarding. Two meals were provided each day with a happy hour in the clubhouse on your own after class. I'll let my husband Rate the driving school itself separately, but I will say as far as the property the service was excellent, the accommodations were fantastic, and we were treated like royalty while we were there.

Clean, safe, cars in perfect shape, instructors so helpful and nice and they are all great drivers. Rick M was our general instructor. I finally "got it" on the 2nd day, afternoon so I would have loved another day. Family came with. I'd definitely go again when i get my Z06 in a couple of years. Rick and others - thank you so much. It was a blast. You guys are great, I learnt so much. Note, there is NOT MUCH to do at the resort or Pahrump, so advise you to not take your family or even your wife unless she's a car nut.
