Our first time here was pleasant enough for a well check for my two kids. The Dr was kind and thorough but it wasn't anything special. My kids are very social so to reciprocate in their friendliness really means the world to them. We didn't really see a whole lot of that, even from the assistants who came in to do the vitals. I guess the Dr they saw is no longer in the practice now. So when my son was sick a week ago, I swore he had pink eye. All the signs were there. His allergies were also horrible. They put us with Dr Gosnell (Heather). Dr Gosnell checked him and said "it's a viral infection" and recommended only "honey" to help his cough. (He is 6, so old enough for medication.) Now it is Saturday and we are in Urgent Care where he has a 103 fever, double ear infection, and huge puffy eyes. The Dr told us this is due to his allergies getting really bad and we should have been prescribed a steroid, antibiotics and antihistamine at our Dr visit with her. I'm pretty upset that we could've avoided this whole thing. Now my baby is in so much pain and suffering. We will give the office another shot, but will NOT be seeing Dr H Gosnell. I realize she can't predict the future but he was already suffering when she saw him and could've nipped it in the bud then instead of not even recommending over the counter medication not "honey". read more

Absolutely best you'll find out there. Great staff that know how to take care of you in the best most effective way possible. A super calming environment with a large and very clean office. I finally found the pediatric office best for my son! Dr Serino was amazing!!!!! He was super friendly, patient and caring with my son. This is exactly what I was looking for. Most of the offices I been too are so serious and down to business. Which I like that type of service for myself.. but for my son I would like a little more rainbows and butterflies type of service since he is still a young child and he has a lot of anxieties due to his disability. The front office is just your typical front Dr. office type of service nothing extraordinary but I wasn't expecting much from them. But man Dr. Serino was amazing.. definitely going to be a loyal customer. Highly recommend him to parents with kids on the spectrum or even kids not on the spectrum. We had difficulty finding a pediatrician who would see our son and accommodate to our medical preferences, desert valley welcomed us. We have taken our child here since and they've always been friendly, they communicate well, and every time we have been there it hasn't been crowded so we are seen very quickly yet with quality care. BEWARE! This is a horrible establishment to bring your children for care. THEY DO NOT KNOW WHAT THE HELL THEY ARE DOING. I am a first time mom and was being proactive for an upcoming trip and scheduled my 4 month old's shots a little early with Dr. ISIP-Torres. (I know the protocols and policy's as my MIL is a pediatric nurse). The day of the appointment comes and they come in and say it's to early for her to get her shots that she has to wait until the exact date she turns 4 months.. which does not make sense if they were to be given early. Fast forward a week later, a day before our trip the doctor calls and says our mistake she can actually get the shots we read the paper wrong... WHAT?!!! My daughter had to travel unvaccinated due to her stupidity. I filed a complaint with the Arizona medical board. One month later when she was reschedule for her shots I called the day before to ask for the RSV vaccine. The front desk lady proceeded to tell me that my daughter could not get the shot without me coming in for a separate appointment just to talk to the doctor! (Mind you I live over 40 minutes away). I asked to speak with my daughter's doctor and the receptionist simply said "no, she's busy we can have a triage nurse call you back". It's a little ridiculous that in 2023 you cannot talk directly to your doctor! An hour goes by and a triage nurse calls me back and tells me she can in fact get the RSV Vaccine and that the receptionist shouldn't even be speaking on treatments! Very rude, inconsiderate and incompetent people here. I am not returning and if you care about your child's health I don't recommend you do either. read more

After more than a decade of going to this practice, to different doctors and for different children, I have to say that all is not well here. The parent company who owns the practices has forgotten about the patient, and how to care. The doctors are amazing. I would have my kids follow them anywhere. But this practice does not put the patient first, and doesn't do what they say they will. They abandon their kiddos when they turn 18 - with no help on how to transition to an adult doctor. My advice? Find another ped for your kiddos. Not worth the hassle. read more

She was the nicest and most concerning dr. there and took the time to listen to my needs. Stay away from Stephanie brown (I'm 90%) that's her name. She DOES NOT CARE about the child, has no interest with your input as the parent, and does not understand common courtesy. read more

I took my daughters to this office while living in Goodyear. We ended up moving, but my daughter was having some mouth pain and needed to see the dentist. The dentist gave us a form to fill out for medical clearance, so being that my daughter had a well check at the goodyear office, I gave them a call to assist with it. When i spoke with a lady over the phone, she told me no problem and they would get it back to me later that day. Hours went by and i heard nothing so i called back. I spoke to someone else who then told me they could not help with the form unless they saw my daughter in person, which was frustrating. My daughter got a well check up on time in their office with no prior medical concerns and I explained that. Then the lady said because the physician she saw is no longer there, no doctors will sign the form. I am unbelievably frustrated at this point. The lack of consistent communication and unwillingness to help is just unacceptable. It is not our fault a physician left your practice. All the documentation for my daughter is there. Anyways, nothing we can do now. I would steer away from this office due to miscommunication from staff members and their poor handling of their patients. read more

My son Rio has been seen here for the past 2 years of his life. I've had overall good experience love the doctors/ nurses however when my second son was born they refused to take him as a new patient because we have acchs. They used to accept acchs but won't take any new patients with it. I thought they would make an exception for me because I already have a child who is familiar with his doctor/ with this office. Now I have to take my newborn to a different provider as the other locations are a far drive for me. I'm so upset that this company does not have compassion for its patients and have no respect for a parent who wants to keep her 2 sons at the same office. I am now pulling my son from this provider/ his doctor because of this. Truly sad , especially because we're getting private insurance in September through my husbands job. read more

Horrible experience with our now 2 year old. We were advised to bring her in for a high fever 104+ and were told they would be fitting us in between appts for the day. We arrived at 3:30 pm and were not brought into the room until a few minutes after 5:00 pm... We didn't say anything for a while because we knew they were fitting us in and saw they were busy. Multiple people came in and out during this time and our poor toddler was miserable. Finally at 4:45 pm, my husband went to the restroom and checked in with the receptionists to get an update and they said "Oh! You're still here? We thought you already went in" They are lucky my husband spoke to them because I was fuming in my chair holding my miserably sick toddler. Absolutely inexcusable. Once we got in the nurses had extremely poor patient care and I did not appreciate the way they handled my toddler (too rough, little to no compassion, etc.) After numerous tests that took over an hour, the doctor told us she didn't know what was wrong and recommended we go to the ER. Being concerned parents, we obviously did and the ER said there isn't any other tests they would find necessary that we didn't already have done at our pediatrician office and to bring her back if the fever didn't go down within 2 days. I will never go to that office again. The doctors are fine but the nurses and receptionists are awful and have zero organization or patient compassion. read more

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. They don't care about your child at all, stay away from Dr. Torres as well. She acts like she knows what she's talking about, but she doesn't. None of the doctors like to make you feel heard or give you an answer. Dr. Torres just wanted to switch to Similac formula but that wasn't the issue. I self diagnosed my own child and found the issue and people with a degree couldn't even figure out the problem. He has reflux & I switched from gentleease to AR and it's life changing. Then at my son's 2 month exam & vaccines they put the Covid vaccine on the paper yet he isn't old enough to have it and we wouldn't sign for that anyways. We had asked the nurse why it was on there and she got a big ass attitude about it just because we wanted to double check what was being put into our child's body. Big pregnant nurse is rude!!! We really like the office staff and love the pediatricians here. We have a 2.5 year old who has been coming to this office since he was born and now a newborn. My issue is that anytime we call for a sick child appointment or now to schedule a circumcision appointment for our newborn they have NOTHING available at this office. We had to schedule the circumcision two weeks out as that is apparently the next available. We typically end up taking our 2.5 year old to the West Valley location whenever he is sick because there are never openings at the Goodyear office. I am looking into switching pediatricians because driving out to the west valley office office anytime I have a sick child or waiting two weeks for circumcision appointment is not ideal. Desert valley pediatrics needs to expand this location or stop taking new patients so they can properly serve the ones they already have. read more

Dr Ronald Gosnell is an amazing pediatrician. He took the time to explain all my concerns regarding my daughter's health. I never felt that he was in a hurry to get me in and out like most other doctors. He even personally called me twice when I called extremely concerned about my child. I highly recommend him if you are looking for a caring and outgoing pediatrician. The Goodyear staff is also great. I have never waited more than 10 minutes to be seen. The office is always clean and the nurses call back in less than an hour. My kids love Dr Gosnell! read more

I've taken my child here every month for almost 7 months. I expressed my wishes to delay vaccination from the very beginning, to which they had complied. In the previous months she has never been seen by a doctor until today. Dr. Heather Gosnell stated that they would not continue to respect our rights and wishes and it's either their way or the highway. A little curtesy from the beginning would have been nice. I would have taken my business elsewhere if they would have disclosed this from day one. If you want a pediatrician that doesn't respect your rights and wishes, this is the place to go! read more

***i have taken my 2 children to this practice for over 4 years now. Last year we gave birth to our 3rd without any insurance (via c-section so costs are double that of a vaginal delivery), upon seeking care from this practice I explained our current situation and Grace up front was completely understanding and informed us that as long as we paid SOMETHING at each visit until our balance was paid off we would be in good standing! Fast forward to when our son was 6 months old he came down with a fever, tugging at his ears on a FRIDAY! Last thing I wanted was to be caught in an ER with a sick baby, so i called dvp to try to get him in same day. Upon calling they informed me we had been dismissed from the practice because of lack of payment. To say I was livid was an understatement. I asked why I hadn't been informed and they stated "we sent out a letter but it was returned to us", oh ok sooo clearly I was not aware why not pick up a phone or email me?? My second concern was I was on a payment plan that I had arranged to have money withdrawn on the first of every month, Little did I know I had made this arrangement with a creditor! (They had introduced themselves as a rep from DVP. ) I asked her if we could please just schedule my son to be seen and she stated she was not able to because we owed them. We hung up and I received two more calls that afternoon from them trying to remedy the situation stating: because he is sick we will see him one more time then we cannot see your children again. I ended up not scheduling and instead drove there to speak directly to their front office. Apparently they had just hired an outside company who handles their billing and therefore could no longer wait for payments. Never in my life have i had such a terrible experience. I was literally in tears trying to grasp how they quickly bounced back on their word and were so quick to send me to a creditor when my baby's balance was less than 1 year old! *** this is my first review EVER! Absolutely love this pediatricians office. We have 3 kids who've all been coming here for years. Both Dr. Gosnell's are amazing. The nurses we've seen have been amazing. Any other Dr. we've had to see has been amazing. I feel like we've spent most of the past 8 years of our lives in this office and have never had a bad experience. read more

I have been utilizing this clinic since 2010 and the service continues to go down. The front desk clerks have poor customer service and the medical assistants do as well. I was told on multiple occasions that I couldn't schedule a well check for my children but once I get a notice from my child's school for immunizations I get an appointment right away. This is ridiculous the amount of false information that is provided when you are trying to ensure your child is healthy. When hiring, ensure that you have those in place who can be kind and courteous. Doctors are great but other staff are horrible at the Goodyear location. Office management needs to look into this and figure out what the problem is. read more

Horrible service! Had my child's newborn screen and the nurse that assisted us didn't have the best attitude. I had asked a question about something I've noticed her doing and she answered "I'm not aloud to give any medical advice". Okay, this is understandable but when I asked for someone else that could help, her reply was "to go upfront and see if they have an opening for an appointment". SERIOUSLY!!! It was one simple question and she couldn't even ask if someone was available to answer it!! Before she walked of rudely she said it wasn't her rules! Horrible customer service! Horrible phone customer service department. My son went in last week for a sick appointment. The doctor prescribed him medication. He is showing more signs of being sick now than he did 10 days ago when I took him in. I called up the office to talk to a nurse or doctor to see if I should bring him back in or possibly get an extension on the prescription. I waited 15 minutes or so before reaching someone (called at around 1pm). A woman answered (who sounded very young) and I explained my situation. I identified who I was (the mother) and my first and last name, as well as my son's name and birth date. She then asked again, so I stated again. When she asked for a third time about 30 seconds later, I asked for her name. She wouldn't tell me and wouldn't let me speak with anyone else. I asked again for her name and she then hung up on me. I called back and spent 13 minutes on hold and asked for the billing department since I knew they were decent people. They helped me get to a nurse but that customer service girl was incredibly rude, especially considering I said my young son was still sick after 10 days. No one with that lack of compassion should be working for a pediatric office, no matter what their function. Kids should be #1. I hope that girl changes her attitude soon. I can't say I hope anyone loses their job, but I am this close to wishing she lost her. read more

This office is great. Been taking my baby here since day 1, and they'll all know me and my daughter by name. Grace, at the front desk is super friendly, patient and really works with the parents when it comes to scheduling and billing. Dr. Ronald Gosnell, talks real fast but gets the information you need to you quick and well said giving you time to ask all the questions in the world and still gets you in and out of your appointment quickly! I have NEVER waited more than 10 minutes (yes 10!) to get called back for our appointment. And the the nurse staff is great with the kids and super quick about shots, my kid doesn't even notice when she gets them anymore. by far the best experience i have had with any doctor, for myself included. The best part? My kid is always smiling while she is here! In my opinion there's nothing better than a pediatrician that makes your daughter belly laugh! Positives-the wait wasn't very long, it was clean, and the doctor was friendly (didn't make us feel like she was rushing us out). Negatives: my newborn wasn't gaining. I expressed how important breastfeeding was to me. The doctor told me to give her formula at her 1 month check up (which I did for her health of course), but I wanted to know why she was struggling to breastfeed. I have successfully breastfed before. A friend suggested that my daughter is tongue-tied. I asked the doctor, "Is she tongue tied? My friend showed me these pictures and it's exactly how her tongue looks." Doctor: No she's not. Why can't she latch then? No reason given. I also asked why my daughter could be crying out in pain when she pees. She said she had no idea. She didn't attempt to ask a colleague, google it, nothing. This was at her weight check appt at 5 weeks. At 7 weeks I was reluctantly ready to give up nursing. I'd tried everything I could think of. I went to a lactation consultant as a last try. Before getting my baby out of her car seat (she was crying) the consultant said, "I can tell you why you're struggling right now. She's a red flag, sirons going off, poster child for tongue tie." You can imaging my heartache. Not only could I have been feeding my daughter from the get go if this was recognized and taken care of, but I handed the doctor the diagnosis of why my baby couldn't eat and showed a picture of tongue tie. Sadly it seems that she was only checking boxes and wasn't truly concerned with how important breastfeeding was to me. My milk dried up before my daughter could get the procedure and that is all owed to the professional I consulted about my daughter's health, her pediatrician at the time. Again, I liked the docs personality and bedside manner. Did not like the lack of education. read more
