Unbelievable, unbelievable, unbelievable. I've never had an interaction with a player services employee who was threatening to call the cops because we paid for a tee time, and played 16 holes. Me and three other content golfers were trying to finish up our 17th hole at 6:55 pm. The course was scheduled to close at 7. I don't know if I'm wrong but last time I checked, 6:55 is FIVE minutes before 7. We were planning on finishing our 17th hole at 7 and drove up to hit our second shot. Then a woman, in her 60s, trotted over in her golf cart, angrily. She told us in a furious tone to head back and said, quote for quote "I reported your cart numbers and you guys are never going to f*cking play this course again. I am going to call the cops". Damn lady, yeesh, a bit harsh for 5 minutes before closing. We obeyed and left. While we were leaving she failed to even acknowledge us but the kind gentleman who was the starter asked us if we broke the course record. Well sir, we couldn't because your irrational co-worker is a loose cannon. I appreciate your time reading this, and remember, don't be the reason for a 1-star review. read more

Usually enjoy this course. Today starter moved me up 20 minutes so no warm up what so ever but that was fine. Then when they aren't even busy he says I ABSOLUTELY HAVE TO ride with a random guy on top of being forced up. I asked a simple question saying do we really Have to since he was acting like it was so serious on a Tuesday afternoon 3:30 tee time lol. But when I ask he tries to threaten me like I'm a dumb child saying he can make me not golf if I want to have attitude, I was so close to flicking this dude (little man old syndrome) given a little power. The owner is wonderful, but the employees are well past their prime and have no patience. All the employees are very rude and overly critical of a dress code for a lower-class course--particularly the women who works on the pro shop. read more

Brought the family here from out of town to play golf while in town on vacation because of the reviews for a relaxed golf environment welcoming of all ages and experience. Paid for 6 to golf with rentals, carts, and two tee times. The lady behind the counter was wonderfully nice and very helpful getting us all set up. The guy at the bar while getting a few course drinks was also very helpful and nice. But that's about where the welcoming and relaxed "enjoy yourself" feeling ended. When we went to pick up our carts and clubs and they were not prepared for us and seemed more annoyed that they had to get clubs for everyone which made us behind on time. Once we got on hole one we had to wait anyways for the person ahead of us, and they ensured us not worry and just have fun. As the first four in our party golfed, the carts began to line up behind us. In and effort to not slow anyone else up, the last two in our group offered to skip the round and move up. From there on out our three carts stayed together, we golfed 4 or 5 to a round and only played best ball. "Golf security" came up to us twice in less than 9 holes to yell at us and threatened to kick us off the course for having 6 in our party. Apparently the "nothing better to do" nosey golf neighbors felt an overwhelming need to call us in for driving three carts together. Not once did we golf 6 to our party ever, a full hole, or more than 6 out of the nine holes we paid for. Course was nothing to write home about and I'll take our Midwest nice golf people any day over the "retired with nothing better to do than complain folk out here about". Not a great experience to bring my family out for what claimed to be a family friendly golf experience. I'll spend my hard earned money elsewhere. read more

Had a wonderful experience at desert willow golf course again, thanks to the friendly staff. Was amazed to see Linda the host, who had her hands full managing to smile, greet and pay attention to all the players. It was quite busy when I arrived, but Linda was attentive and efficient. Defiantly going to play there again and again. Just got back from a private lesson with Pam Bowers, who knew exactly how to show me to use the club, her instructions were clear and logically. In a few minutes I got the hang of it, and felt a huge improvement with my swing. Pam Bowers responded to all my needs and questions professionally. Highly recommended! read more

This is my favorite golf course. Friendly staff, amazing facilities, and great driving range. The customer service is also amazing.

Course was pretty decent, however none of the tee boxes looked like they have been maintained. No grass anywhere, just sand. On top of that, all of the tee boxes were severely rounded or a steep incline one direction or another. Which I don't understand, it's mostly par 3's. Tee boxes and greens should be getting the attention. And unlike almost every single course in the area, they don't provide ice in the cart cooler. You can request it, but it'll cost you $1. Seems petty, but you don't have water on the course. read more

My first time playing at Desert Willow was unfortunately my last. For what they charge I didn't feel that the course was very well kept. The bigger issue that I had was from the staff. 3/4 of the staff were incredibly rude. The Course Marshall most notably was a total jerk. I didn't appreciate being interrupted on multiple holes to hear the nonsense that he decided to spew. Guy was a flat out asshole, and recommended that we didn't come back because we didn't agree with him interrupting our game. That's fine Geezer, I will no longer support your run down course. Not only will I spend my money elsewhere, but I will also recommend that anybody I know, not play here either.This course is garbage and most off the staff treat you like you're playing for free. It was such an unenjoyable experience that we left half way through. I would highly recommend finding a better course. read more

A friend of mine got married here. She did an outside wedding, it was very nice and cozy. People could sit a little higher if they liked, or down with the rest of us, where the bride and groom walk. So after the wedding, the reception was inside, this is a very nice place to have a wedding. It's way better than all the cheezy chapels around town, heck if I had known about this spot, I would have gotten married here. From now on, this is were we will be refering people to get married. read more

I love this executive course in Hendo! It's right down the street from my house and I can go hit balls there on the weekends off of real live grass! Fri/Sat/Sun you don't have to hit off mats at the range. A large bucket of balls is $8! bam! now get your game stepped up. In addition, to the practice range, they have a nice area to practice your chipping (yeah you need practice like the rest of us!) and also a nice putting green to get your short game on. The 18 hole course is a fun executive style course. It's shorter then a normal course and gives you the chance to practice a lot with your irons and putter. In the summer they have twilight deals. So if you don't mind the heat, get it! read more

A great little course tucked away in the back of Green Valley, this course offers a little something for everyone. Most holes are short, being an executive course, which is great for the first time golfer or someone looking to practice their short game. The best part about this course is during the summer time, it's fairly inexpensive to play and it's close to where I live (which is a plus for me). Occasionally you get some old folks who play in a weekly 9-hole tourney and the course marshall will kick you off. Granted, they do give you plenty of warning which is cool but you will have to drive back to where you left off when they are done. read more

Had a great golf experience here. The course was tough for a duffer like myself but the staff was friendly and the course in good shape.

I have played this course about six times. It is convenient and always well groomed. Make sure and book as Nevada resident cheaper greens fees. The hardest thing about this set up is that if the wind is blowing at all it is amplified to almost comic levels. With the wind at my back I blew a par 4 green so far I found my ball laying by the ladies tees for the next hole. It had to have gone 350 and on my very best day I hit 250. Then on the turn playing into the wind my drive on thirteen went 75 yards and i think it kicked off a sprinkler head to get that far. Everyone at Desert Willows is very friendly the cart girl always seems to be close and the beer in the 19th hole is cheap. read more

If you want a double standard on dress code for men and women, then this is the course for you. Upon entering the pro shop and paying for my round, I was informed I needed a collared shirt. I was wearing a tank top (two layers of tank tops). I was offered a loaner shirt, but I declined - how do I know who has been in that shirt? And in this COVID environment, I was not about to take a chance. So I purchased a shirt. A polyester polo. It was horrible. But I didn't complain because I hadn't done my research beforehand so that was completely my own fault. After playing 18 holes in the polyester heat trap, we went to return our cart. Only to see several young men in T-shirt's. Seriously? Why is the policy not enforced for all players? The lady I spoke with after our round was very nice and apologized. She gave me a few explanations, and ended up allowing me to return the shirt, but it's very upsetting in this day and age that standards for men are not enforced , and yet they are for women. read more

As a new golfer, I'm pretty lousy at hitting balls for great distances off the tee. I think my longest drive is an embarrassing 100 yards or so! I absolutely love this course because as an executive course it only contains short par 4 and par 3s. No evil par 5 holes to deal with! It's well groomed and the staff is very friendly. Green fees are VERY reasonable, especially their twilight rates that start around 2 PM or so . We played for $20 last weekend! Sweet! It's only a par 60, but perfect for those with a poor distance game, or those just looking to hone their short game. As someone who gets bored after 4-5 hours of golf, this course is a happy medium between playing 9 holes and committing to a full length course. read more

Got a great deal for a 3PM $20 Saturday tee-time. The course is nice and I would recommend it for a tune-up round. I will say near the end of the round I was getting a little tired of all the Par 3's, but that is expected on an executive course layout. Course was in decent shape, not over the top, but also not a lot of wear in high traffic areas. My partner lost his club and the starter retraced our steps and was able to find and deliver it to us in just one hold of play, I thought that was great as sometimes starters get bad raps! Even with the shortness of the course, this is a good value and a few of the par 4's are at 300 yards so it tempts you to swing for the green. read more

This course takes great pride in promoting chronic slow play. It shouldn't take 5 hours to play this short course yet that seems to be the average. They also pride themselves on overwhelmingly favoring men and treating women as inferior and ignorant. There are many terrific golf courses in the Las Vegas area that offer a great product and a pleasant day on the course. This is not even close to being one of them. The staff are rude and must hate their jobs as most of them are not friendly or nice. read more

He offered both my husband & I a complementary round of golf & said that they were working on their customer service. He was absolutely correct. We had way better service. This is a great little course. Everything is kept up really nice. It is a slower course, so be aware if you are on a time restraint. Things can get backed up at times. But if you are patient this course is really fun to play. Not many long holes but plenty of challenging Par 3's that will work your short game. You can find some great deals online for this course which make it worth every penny. The club house is used as a dual purpose facility, housing what seems like a retirement recreational center, which makes it kinda confusing when trying to find the Pro Shop for the first time. read more

Called to find out information about precautions due to Covid-19 and the gentleman on the phone was incredibly rude, as if I was wasting his time. These are important issues and questions and should be taken seriously and he was blowing it off and just wanting to rush off the phone. They are cramming T-Times together and putting strangers together even when I asked if they could separate us from others. My wife is battling cancer so even on a good day I have to be extremely careful. They seem to be more concerned about money and getting as many people on the course as possible. I will never golf there again. Called a competing golf course and was treated with respect and told that they would not put anyone with us. Not rushing me off the phone. read more

This is the worst run golf course in Nevada. Am on the 10th whole now. Starter lacks enough intelligence to pair two somes so our four has been harassed by the grounds staff to speed up because of one and two somes. They only treat residents of retirement community with respect. We broke the rough rules twice as it is our first time here and they flipped out like this was the TPC. If you want a horrible time with spoiled retirees this is the place for you. If you want a friendly enjoyable time, play anywhere but here. read more

I love this golf course because it's beautiful with its lakes and ducks walking around. The tees are slightly elevated so you get nice loft off the tee. It's an executive course with some difficult par 4s. The carts come with a ice chest and ice inside! The pro shop closes at 5 which I found out yesterday arriving at 6 hoping to hit some balls before sunset. I usually play 9 for $15 or its 18 for $22(no reservation needed, those are the course prices). I use golfswing.com for a "hott deal" which for 18 holes I have paid 13 bucks. Great value. This is a nice place to play a round or practice your game on the driving range or putt area. The staff is really nice. read more
