I looked all over town to try and find the cheapest place to fix my iPhone 4, because I have an upgrade in a few months and didn't want to spend a lot but my screen was cracked and it really irritated me. I found on yelp the desert wireless coupon where I spent $35 for $55 worth of repairs. The iPhone 4 screen was $50 to repair, and the people in there were so nice and genuine. Bon took care of me, and since I was the first customer of the day he threw in a complimentary button for my iPhone. I got to Desert Wireless at 9:10am, and was out of there by 9:45am. I was having trouble "checking in" from Yelp to receive my iPhone case, and they threw it in there for free without even checking in, and let me choose any one I wanted. Got a replacement from the maker and it was very bad so on the first drop my phone shattered unlike my old phone that I had over a year. Came in and got it fixed under twenty minutes and it was great. There was a little smudge of brown in the screen and the changed it and if you check in you get a screen protector and a case. ***Update 7/8/2016*** After I left the review a few weeks ago, Wookie (store owner) reached out to me to express his concern. I often have been contacted after a less than stellar review so I figured he was just checking the box so others see he responded. Instead, I was pleasantly surprised to see that Wookie REALLY cared. I told him I'd be back in touch and I did not contact them again nor did I have any intentions to do so. About 2 days ago, he reached out to me again telling me they really wanted to make it right. So I made some time to stop in. He greeted me presently and knew who I was after I mentioned my name. I left the store and he called me about 30 seconds later to say they would expedite the repair. Additionally, my new screen protector they had given me after my first visit got a small crack. They replaced the screen protector free of charge. If I could them 8 stars I would because Wookie really cared and his interaction with me after the previous reviews showed me that dissatisfied customers are not acceptable to him. Very happy to recommend this place to others and I'll certainly use them again in the future should I need cell phone repair. Thank you Wookie! ------------------------------------------ I had a terrible experience here and it continues. Let me explain... About two weeks ago, I was in the gym lockerroom and I dropped my belt buckle on my iPhone 6 screen. I am usually really good with phones but I guess it hit the screen just right and it shattered. Later that day, I scrubbed yelp for the best iPhone repair locations in the valley. After that, I called a handful of them to price compare and Desert Wireless had the best price so I went there. I dropped my phone off and pick it up about 90 minutes later with a new screen and a complimentary screen protector. It looked great! $86 with tax I believe. It only took me about an hour to realize my phone wasn't acting the same. I would try and type something and get no response from the screen. So I would lock the screen, unlock the screen, lock the screen, unlock the screen. Do that 4-5x and then I would finally get some response from the screen. I wouldn't lock the screen until I was sure I was done with the phone knowing I would have to go through a process to get it going again. Not only did the screen barely work, when I place phone calls the screen no longer turns off like it's designed to do. So when I put the phone up against my face I often put it on hold or mute or something. I knew that I would not be able to deal with this but it's very hard for me to find time to stop into the store to have it addressed. Finally, yesterday I went into the store at about 11:30 AM. I explained to the man what my issue was. He had a bad attitude about it but I get that he wasn't happy I was essentially challenging the workmanship of his business. He told me they would call me when it's done in likely around 90 minutes. I stopped back by at 2:30 PM (3 hours later) because I had yet to hear from them. The guy told me '20 more minutes.' As I mentioned before, I have very little free time so I didn't appreciate needing to wait but I can spare 20 minutes so whatever. 45 minutes goes by and I'm still sitting there. I saw 10 people come and go in the time I was there. So I was getting pretty pissed. Once again, I asked 'how much longer?' He said '8 minutes.' About 10 minutes later he told me it was ready. I wanted to check to make sure that it was working while I was still standing there so I started booting up my phone. It took an unusual amount of time to boot up. Like 4x the time. That obviously made me suspicious about what they even we're doing with my phone back there that they knew a precise time such as 8 minutes... Anyways, it booted up and the screen sensitivity was still not like it was when it had the factory screen but it was at least manageable and doesn't require constant reboots and such. Another thing I failed to mention earlier was that the screen would think my finger was on one part of the screen when it was really on another so it would call and FaceTime people without me pressing those buttons and I would have to frantically stab around at the screen to find where it believed the end call button to be! Again, that problem seems to be fixed this time. However, the screen still remains on during phone calls so I will not be able to comfortably make phone calls without using an earpiece or Bluetooth device until I get a new phone (whenever the new iPhone comes out). If I get even decent service or a decent meal or a decent product, a place can expect 4 stars from me. But I could not with a clear conscience recommend this place to anyone after my terrible experience. I say find another place to get your phone repaired! read more

I am very satisfied with my experience at Desert Wireless. I had dropped my phone and cracked the glass out and not known where to go and the news was actually talking about desert wireless so I looked them up and did not know what to expect. Most places try to sell you new phones instead of fixing old ones or try to do everything they can to sell you something no matter what. So I went in and it wasn't in the most popular area in the back of a whole in the wall building. As I looked around it was not full of phones and salesman it was just a little place with a man who greeted me up front and ask what he could do for me. I explained to him my situation and showed him my broken phone he then went on telling me I should only need glass but he would bring my phone in the back and check everything else to make sure that the final price was correct and would not be more. He then came back and told my that all I would need is glass and it should be around 100 bucks. I thought that was very fair and agreed to have it done so I picked my color of glass I wanted and asked about my wait time he assured me that it should only take about an hour and to wait or come back. Then came an hour and a half and I came back to pick up my phone and the guy told me they had to order it and it will be here in 15 minutes so I waited there. As the day dragged along I was still waiting asking the estimated time about every 45 min and the guy kept dragging me along assuring me just a little bit long. That did make me quite upset after being there for four hours making excuses. They did finally finish up right before they closed up which was nice that I was finally able to leave. But in the end everything was done right and they were very nice about everything else and I have recommended them to others because they do in the end get the job done. read more

Purchased a Groupon to have our iPad screen replaced. We got a great deal on the repair (saved about $70 off what we paid somewhere else for the same repair). The staff was really friendly and the service was pretty speedy. Dropped it off mid-day Saturday and they called Monday afternoon to let me know it was ready to be picked up. The kids have been pretty rough on the iPad and totally smashed all the corners and destroyed the screen. Besides a little roughness on the corners which they fixed without asking or charging us extra, our iPad looks like new after the screen repair. My Iphone 4S had broken screen. With Yelp voucher it cost me $35 (price is $53), which is awesome especially they are open on Sunday. I came at 10AM, at noon phone was ready. My Iphone looks like new except the mesh screen for speaker next to camera is not flat anymore so doesn't look intact. LCD screen looks a little soft compared to original screen. That's why just 4 stars. But for that price I'm not going to complain. Besides I realize the phone is very complex so I don't want to go to again to them to correct this besides I just simply have no time and it's not so much important. But still. I took my galaxy S7 to desert wireless to get repaired. The screen was cracked and the LCD was not working due to me running into the corner of a desk. I paid around $250 to have it all repaired and I was on my way 2 days later with a repaired phone. 3 months later the LCD was malfunctioning again and I was told to bring it in. This time I was told that the LCD was defective and they would replace it. 2 days later it was fixed and I picked up my phone. I did a quick test to make sure my screen was working again and as I left the worker told me that I had a 60 day warranty on my phone. When I got home that day I noticed that the right side of my screen was unable to scroll on web pages, couldn't use the swipe feature on the phone, play games or do anything requiring me to drag my finger across the screen. I used the phone as is due to the fact I need a phone for work and was planning to bring it in the next day off I had from work. When I woke up this morning again the screen was malfunctioning and would not light up or allow me to see anything on the phone other than a multicolored screen. I called desert wireless and explained what had been occurring with my phone. I was told to bring my phone in yet again, I waited until I was off work and headed in. When I got there I gave my phone to a worker who took a 30 second glance at it and told me the LCD was cracked vertically and that I would need to pay another $150 dollars to get my phone fixed, despite the "60 day" warranty I was told the phone had. The worker asked me if I had sat on my phone which I assured him I had not and that it had only been about 7 days since I had the phone repaired by them. Nothing was done to fix my phone despite having already had one faulty LCD replaced by desert wireless and I now have no phone to use for work. read more

Review for 5s repair: I don't normally go out of my way to post a negative review about a business, but in this case I felt it was necessary. I've been here to get my phones fixed about 3x; the first time was for a shattered phone, I was pleased with the results so I went back when my other phone needed a screen replacement. I received my phone back after about an hour and realized when I left it looked like the screen was slightly glued to the motherboard; it was an eyesore, but not worth the far drive to take it back. Fast forward about 2 months later: the screen started losing power to the point where I was only able to use it when the brightness was turned completely down & even then it was a hassle to touch-navigate; the button was flimsy and felt loose just like the new screen they put on. Took it in again to let them know and they tried to charge me $65 as a replacement which was even more than what I originally paid $40. This place is completely unprofessional and everything about it is inconsistent; I always get a feeling I'm being swindled. Please note they do not use genuine apple glass; they use cheap, flimsy parts; stick with taking your phone to apple who charges $75 for new 5s screen. read more
