We had a difficult time setting up a driving appointment for our teen driver with DPS. Desi Driving School made it really easy. We made the appointment and while our son was taking his driving test, they were able to go online and get us in queue for the license to be issued. The individual administering the test provided key feedback to our son (he passed), and we left with our sealed paperwork, walked into DPS and two minutes later were at the counter getting his license issued. Its so convienient because the wait is so long to get the test appointment through dsp. Not recommended. Because it is the only driving school near my house. So i have a drive time on Mon at 10am,and i have to cancel it due to some reasons. But they close on Sunday which you can't make a call to them to cancel your drive time. ( they give u 24hrs to cancel your drive time) Then i callled them on Monday and they charged me $25 for late cancellation. I explained to them that i cant call them on Sunday bc they were closed and i tried to call them as soon as they open but they still said $25 late fee. Im thinking if everybody who has a drive time on Monday, but for some reasons they have to cancel it, will have to pay $25 for a ridiculous conflict. And I lost $25 just because they dont open on Sunday. read more

I had a great experience with Desi Driving School. I took 4 lessons (8 hours) of behind the wheels training with Joseph. Joseph is a great teacher. He is patient, easy to understand, and knows how to improve your driving skills. In addition to Joseph, I spoke to both Manju and Sandy at the Desi driving school and both were friendly and welcoming. The pricing is reasonable and the $390 package is a very good deal for teens. I highly recommend Desi driving school and Joseph! P.S- They use really good cars too. I drove in a 2012 Honda Civic that had a really nice dashboard which made it easy to check your speed. read more

(Pt2) Moving on, the driver directed me from the school's parking location to a local neighborhood. This part went smoothly as I had checked my blind spots and signaled when changing lanes. When we reached the neighborhood, this part apparently to him was problematic. A part I thought was fine turned out to be a goldmine of mistakes for him. But whatever, he had to try to find a place to rack up my points up to more than 30 somewhere. In the neighborhood, he disagreed with how I had stopped at the stop signs. I didn't really have a problem as I did slowly stop, waited for other cars to take my turn, and was in a location that enabled me to look out for other cars, but I guess I was supposed to stop in front of the sign where you could see the red front. The tester did tell me this before. He told me to stop behind the stop sign in the beginning of the lesson (and it was the only thing he told me as he spoke minimally probably trying to get me to make as many mistakes as I could) but distance is relative so how could I have known his "behind" meant my "front." Also, I got marks off for not stopping there for three seconds when I'm pretty sure I did spend those seconds looking out for others cars in the lane in front of me and finding none. But this is the kind of place that would mark me off for stopping at two I'm sure of it. In addition to the stop signs, he told me I had speed problems within the neighborhood which is, again, untrue!!! I did watch the dashboard and went in speeds at 30 or a little under. If the tick went up to 40, I would have seen and felt it. When we were outside of the neighborhood returning back to Desi, we stopped at an intersection. There he told me I wasn't look left and right at the intersection when I was in the FAR RIGHT of my lanes??? In my peripheral vision, all I saw to the left of me was a car blocking my view from seeing the left lanes. And if I turned right, what would I be looking to right for if I knew it had been my turn so that any car from the right of me would have made an illegal move if they've driven forward. Just helpful advice, when you make your way back, get ready to park in one of Desi's parking spaces. Just go directly in to the left and don't overthink. Overall during my entire performance, there were no sudden stops, collisions, or anything that might have disqualified the test. We made our way smoothly and safely through. But after reading all this, I'm sure they'll find either more rules to judge you against or switch up on you to discredit my review and might even give you another pathway if they really decided to take up on that effort. And get this!!! The tester told me he wouldn't have explained what I did wrong in depth (which I'm grateful for) because he wouldn't do the same for other drivers. Appalling!!! At the end, they couldn't even print me a page stating what I did wrong or a copy of the marks the tester gave me. Guess they really wanted me to not succeed as a driver. $95 for this kind of service? No thanks. Anybody you know who plan to use this location's services, be it your friends or family, do warn them about this place and do provide them the care Desi lacks. I'm sure they'd grately appreciate not being a walking $95+. TLDR: This place will milk you every cent they can get from you. I suggest going to the DPS instead if you are taking the Driving License Test. My advice is to be sure you book your test a month early as wait times can get long. read more

Desi driving school is a rip off! They were shut down as of March 9, 2011, but continued enrolling students as late as June of 2011! My daughter was a victim of this fraud! We paid almost $400 for this class and when my daughter went to get he license, the DMV informed us that they can"t accept any certificates from Desi because they are shut down! I went there immediately to demand my money back and the doors were locked with no one in site! read more

When I read the great reviews about Desi Driving School, I decided to give it a try. I have had one driving lesson with an instructor and he is great! He is very calm and teaches me so well about driving. The lesson was quite pricey ($95 per lesson), but many websites I was on were around the same price. I enjoyed the lesson so much that I decided to schedule another appointment. However, this time, I was disappointed with the lack of professionalism. Within hours of my driving lesson, they called my alternate number which was my boyfriend and told him that they had to cancel the lesson. I was wondering why they didn't call me first. They claimed they did, but I received no missed calls from them. He informed me that they will call me back to reschedule it, but they never did. I called them back that same day and asked to reschedule my appointment, but the front desk said the person was too busy and that she'll call me back. Never happened. It was a frustrating experience and let down. Great instructor, but unprofessional business. read more

Couldn't have had a better experience at Desi Driving School! Got an appointment right away and they were all so helpful. The two women working the front do all they can to make you feel confident before the test and give you advice about stop signs, lane switches, etc. I would recommend this driving school to anyone taking their test or needing lessons!! read more

Desi Driving School was wonderful. I had trouble with my child's driving paperwork. We had used one driving school for the 32 hour online portion of his test and then we did parent taught for the 7 hour driving/7 hour observation. Seems like most people don't do that and there was trouble with the paperwork. Desi helped with everything. They were very helpful and patient when I had multiple questions over a few days. My son took some practice driving with Desi and then his test. They had all the paperwork in order and we just had to go to the DPS. It couldn't have been easier. They are a wealth of knowledge and take the pain out of getting your child's license. I have two more kids and we will go to Desi for it all. Thank you Desi! read more

I would highly recommend using Desi Driving School for any of their services. I am very impressed with their service starting from the phone call I made to book classes for driving test preparation till my road test was done. Their staff is very professional and courteous. I got the appointment for the very next day (which was what I was looking for!). I had approached two other driving schools but they didn't had any availability. One of the instructor from the other driving school referred me to Desi. They have classes during weekdays as well as during weekend. If you can do the classes on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday, I suggest you ask for Yulanda as your instructor. She is simply amazing!!! She is very calm and composed. She taught me the road test skills in a very easy and understandable manner. I was a bit nervous going for the road test. She gave me the confidence that I would clear it in the first attempt. You know what I passed the test with just 4 points! I am now one among two of her students who have got so less points in the road test! She is doing this for the last six years and has trained more than 500 students. She is very friendly and easy going. I also happen to meet the owner of the school after the road test. Instruction-wise great job. I love the instructors in and out of the classroom. (Out as in while driving). They've had some bad instructors, but a few are good like Troy and Saf. The manager is horrible though. The drive times are based on the instructor's preferences (which means they can choose when to teach). That means some weeks there are numerous times, others not even one. The manager is very rude and does not cooperate with us at all. They do not inform us well enough, they wait till the last minute to tell you if your contract is about to expire, and also just scams you for extra money. $50 to renew contract. $20, if you can't make an appointment and don't cancel within 24 hrs. It's reasonable, but still. They sneak their way into in the end scamming you. I would say that if you want to learn to drive, take the driving instructions course only, AND SIGN UP QUICK. other than that, the less you are in that building, the better. read more
