I am so happy I found this salon. Jim is THE BEST for curly hair. I was having breakfast next store and needed my bangs cuts. I decided to stop in as I didn't care for the women who was currently cutting my hair, as you all know how hard it is to find someone you can trust. That's when I met Jim. He told me he has been cutting hair for 30+ years and specialized in curly hair. He cut my bangs and didn't even charge me. Told me when I needed a hair cut to come back and see what he can do. I did and he did a great job. I know have been going to Jim for about two years and figured I would let the world know how good he is. The salon also has a lot of great people. The salon is family owned and they are all so nice and friendly. Stop by and judge for yourself and if you have curly hair I highly recommend Jim. read more

Just had my third haircut at Design 2000 and I'm very pleased. The stylist I first worked with, Steve, was excellent but he returned to his previous city of employment. I was referred to Bridget who did a terrific job. I was overdue for a haircut, have a tremendous amount of long hair and she did a great job of both taking off length and weight while still making it look polished. Worst hair cut I have EVER had. Almost shaved the back of my head. I put my hands over my bangs so she couldn't cut them. It will take months for my hair to grow back. Not sure if she trained as a dog groomer. This is almost the end of July and I finally have enough hair for my salon to give me a trim. read more

My wife just got her hair cut for the first time in 3 years. We are in long boat key for our honeymoon and she scheduled an appointment later in the afternoon on the last night of our vacation.
