Do not go here!!! This salon destroyed my hair and then told me they would only refund me if I deleted my original bad review! For my first appointment I asked to be put with a blonde specialist and they booked me with Elizabeth for a bleach root retouch. She gave me a massive orange band and when I pointed it out to her she told me it wasn't there and when I asked multiple times for her to please fix it she covered it with a high lift hair dye. I told her that high lift hair dye doesn't work on hair that's already been bleached but she told me that this one did and unfortunately I decided to trust her. When she was done I was still left with the same massive orange band and my roots felt very dry but at that point I had already been there for hours and she was very rude so I just left and called the salon the next day. The first picture is of my hair in the car right after leaving my appointment with Elizabeth. When I called the next day I asked for a refund but they refused to give it to me and instead said I should come in and have it fixed by a different stylist. They put me with a supposedly very experienced stylist named Dawn. I told her that I was concerned with the integrity of my hair after the botched bleach job and high lift color Elizabeth had already done but Dawn told me that there would be no breakage and that she was careful. When Dawn was done with my hair she blow dried it straight and told me that there was no breakage and I even gave her a tip for fixing it but when I washed my hair a few days later I had short broken clumps of fried hair sticking right out of my part. It looks terrible and my hair is so thin and broken now I have to straighten the broken pieces down every day just to make it not look crazy. When I first saw how much of my hair had fried off I was so sad that I cried, and it's so damaged that more and more breaks off every day. The second picture is what Dawn did to my hair and that's just the pieces that broke off of my part, there is much more breakage underneath my hair. I don't want this to happen to anyone else, they did irreversible damage to my hair that will take years to recover from so I posted my experience on yelp and google reviews to try to warn other women. Within 20 minutes of the post being up the salon called me and said they would refund my money, but only if I deleted my bad reviews. Since I was backed into a corner, I agreed so I could at least get my money back. But what they did is super unethical and actually illegal too. The fact that they would only refund my money if I took down my original review is honestly disgusting and this salon should be ashamed of themselves. I attached pictures of the federal law about bribing customers to delete their reviews, I'm assuming that they've done this to a lot of women because this is by far the worst salon experience I have ever had in my life and I hope this place gets shut down soon. If you're reading this I hope you decide to go somewhere else so you don't get taken advantage of and end up with fried off hair the way I did. read more

Les Ciseaux has some very good stylists, but dealing with the front desk is a nightmare. They frequently make mistakes, cancel appointments with no warning, and fail to return phone calls. If a customer dares to complain, the manager says that they are doing an excellent job and you should go somewhere else if you're not happy! Bottom line: terrible and rude customer service experience makes this salon not worth the (high) prices. read more

I must admit I arrived to the salon at 2:50 for my 3:00 appointment and found no one there. All lights were off and no signage was up stating they were returning soon. I called and got the machine.. She apologized for being late and explained that this weekend wasn't very busy so they were working on as-needed appointments. I understood, but was a bi more nervous I was their only customer... So disappointed. My granddaughter and I went for a nail maintenance. They told my 16yo granddaughter she was too young for nails and tried to take them off before I intervened. Then they rounded her nails instead of squaring them. The technician had no idea what to do with my nails even after I told her and then had my technician from NJ call and try to talk to her. It was way too expensive for the work that they did. I will never return or recommend this salon. read more

Yuliana gave me the best pedicure I have ever had at Les Ciseaux. First, the salon is beautiful, relaxing and friendly. I was offered champagne! I have a damaged nail which can be awkward, and Yuliana handled it beautifully, both from a technical and customer service perspective. She is a skilled masseuse and sent me directly into the alpha zone. Both the experience and results were top flight. She was also fun to chat with; a very nice person with a great sense of humor. SNS nail powder review. So disappointed! Love the circle! I ended up over in the area longer than expected. I do the sns powder on my nails and was way past do. Salon came recommended, the technician was sweet. Three days later 5 nails broke and 2 peeled off. I have done sns powder for a year and half never a problem and i had the best strongest nails. Don't make the mistake I made. Called and asked for someone good with bobs and knew the latest hair styles. they gave me Ellie. Sweet girl, but it is the absolute worst haircut I have ever had and had to pay again to get it fixed at another salon. Instead of a bob - I have no idea what I got - very bad shape - think one length, triangle shape, or buster brown. When I asked her to taper the bottom (like a bob, duh) she did not know what that word meant. Not very proficient in English, unfortunately -I said "cut" "layer" "lose some hair" "closer to my head" everything I could think of - and it didn't seem like she understood. After a night of being upset - the next day, I went back to get it fixed. I was very nice - explained again - and she kept saying it was my hair and if she did more it would be bad. There were three stylists standing there and no one else volunteered to help fix my hair they just stood there. By this time I am absolutely livid - so I walked out. All this - horrible cut (and I am not talking just "so-so" cut - no big deal -- I am talking like actually embarrassed - (canceled an event because I didn't want anyone I knew to see my hair) - it was a whopping $185 !!!!! (including shampoo and conditioner I bought and tip) While I was waiting, I also watched a young man - literally chop a women's hair - completely uneven in the back ( her side that I was facing). good thing the lady couldn't see it.
