I already knew what was the issue with the AC as the previous AC company who works only for home warranty companies, came out 3 times and only did a band-aid job that lasted only 2 weeks. I knew it was out of freon because the AC was leaking freon. James was able to schedule for an early morning appointment to repair the leak the following day. He put in more freon in the meantime so my house will have air conditioning until they can repair it. The next morning, Chris and his crew showed up as promised, first thing in the morning and fixed the leak. I will definitely use Richmond's Air again in the future, but for now, hopefully this leak repair will last me for a few years before having to call for service again. Hopefully my next call to Richmond's Air will be a yearly maintenance type of deal and not to fix a leak! I definitely recommend this company. As a PSA, please, please, please STAY AWAY from home warranty service companies! If you must purchase one, stay away from Fidelity National. I won't mention the name of the HVAC company Fidelity National sent to fix my AC and then denied my claim and I had to pay over $1300 out of pocket for a band-aid fix that lasted only 2 weeks!

They replace the capacitor so I should be getting cold air....hours later the temp inside won't cool below 81. I call back and they tell me it could take until the next morning for the unit to "catch up and get back on track"! So we call a friend of a friend who came right over and discovered the wires on the capacitor were installed incorrectly, and ALSO the wires on the upstairs unit was tampered with, crossed, which made that unit inoperable. They had no reason to touch that unit as it WAS working. I believe Aire Serv wanted to come back the next day only to sell more services. It's just another disgusting scam to steal and take advantage of people. Now we must follow the repair tech around with a camera.

My A/C started blowing 82 degree air and I turned it off. This was on a Friday evening. Saturday…read moremorning I called and spoke to Angela who arraigned for a tech to come out. Parker evaluated the cause (slow leaking evaporator coil) but he wanted to be sure the rest of the system maintained integrity by performing a pressure leak test which he did a few days later. He charged the system back up, enough to get me to the pressure test. Confirming the problem, he passed me over to Hope who provided a solution and explained in detail what needed to be done, what it would cost, and how long it would take. This was on a Friday afternoon. She was able to coordinate the required new equipment, materials and schedule their construction team for the following Monday morning. Everything was in place that morning and needless to say, they knew what to do and how to do it. They jumped on it, and never stopped. No breaks, no lunch and were finished by 2:00 PM. This was a major project, having to demo and rebuild the supply plenum, remove and replace the coil section of the furnace, install a new drain pan and drains, etc. As fate would have it, my thermostat had failed and that caused a delay getting the system to start. Richard, another airWoodlands tech came out and discovered the problem quickly and provided me with a new thermostat. From Angela, to Parker, to Hope, to Cossa, and to Richard, I could not have asked for a better team from any one, anywhere. Customer service in general has failed in America, but this group is an exception. I will never have to search for an a/c contractor. Air Woodlands is the best. (A special call out to Parker.
