I used Yelp to find Brian Hager and his remodeling business. He was quick to respond and quick to…read moreprovide a quote. It's always good to find a contractor who is responsive and communicative. Bryan fits that bill We were interested in putting in a waterproof floor, either ceramic tile or vinyl, and Bryan was helpful in determining which one and the cost-effectiveness of each. Bryan managed to fit our timeline for the project perfectly. In about three days, he had leveled the concrete floor in our Lakewood, home, put down the red, waterproof barrier, put down a impermeable barrier between the red barrier and the vinyl flooring. Finally, the vinyl flooring went in in about a day and a half. All told it was about four days. When we noticed something that might've been a little bit off, Bryan was quick to correct it and super responsive. he was more than accommodating in our requests and his crew did a great job, especially in terms of cleaning up before they left. It's clear that Bryan understands not only the craft in his work, but how to treat his customers. We are thrilled with our new vinyl floor. I'll update this review with some more photos once I finish the rest of the project.

Rob and the crew at Big Bear were great to work with right from the start. The final quote looked…read moreexactly like the estimate that we got during Rob's first visit, and the work was done in a clean, professional manner all the way through our project. Once the work was done we had a couple of touch-ups that we needed, and a couple of things we wanted to have added that we didn't discuss initially. All of that follow-up work was completed within a week of asking and our new addition looks great. Everyone we dealt with at Big Bear was great to work with and we have already contacted them for additional work on our house. I would definitely recommend Big Bear Remodeling to anyone looking to get work done on their house.

To start, I never made it further than phone and email conversations with the office manager so…read moretheir work may be wonderful, but I will never know. This is a review of their business practices not necessarily their work. My first conversation was the office manager (who was polite and professional) asking an extraordinary amount of questions prior to a visit including measurements which I felt that was the job of the person coming out to provide an estimate. I was given a quote of 40-60K for a small Lakewood bathroom (note this was before anyone actually saw my bathroom.. why is this done?). Then I was scheduled out several weeks in advance. The day of my appointment, I took off of work. About a half hour prior to the appointment time, it was cancelled. I get it, stuff happens. I was a bit put off by the last minute cancel and the wasted day off. I went to reschedule and they had nothing for several weeks. I asked if they can make an exception since they were the ones to cancel and they could not. They asked if I wanted a zoom appointment (not sure how that would work???). I live 10 minutes away from their office. In the mean time I had 3 other local contractors (who had all been recommended) come out. All three were half of the price of the "estimate" I was given over the phone. Obviously this company does not need work. I cancelled my second appointment in an email to the company outlining my reasons.
