I have not been to this business in a while but decided to return after my original eyebrow salon closed. The business is located in a shopping plaza with other businesses with a shared parking lot in front. The business was clean and very spacious with several chairs to service clients. There was no waiting area available inside and only three patrons are allowed inside of business. Patrons are required to wear a mask inside of the business. I came during the week so I did not have to wait to be serviced. Upon my entry into the business, Lisa took my temperature. Hand sanitizer was also available for use. Lisa wore gloves and a mask during my service she took her time threading my eyebrows. The end result was great. Their prices have gone up a little since I've been here but they are still better than some other places. I will definitely return in the future. read more

I have been here a few times and always leave satisfied. It does seem the quality of brow work depends on the artist working. Thankfully mine has gotten better every time. Today was my best experience. Grace worked on my eyebrows and my lip area. She did such an excellent and tender job. Threading is no more intense than waxing except it is more time consuming but the trade off is more detail, better brows. Stopped in since Threading by Christina was closed early. I was hesitant to try a new location since Christina's is so reliable and affordable- I wasn't sure what to expect at Designer Brows. My threader was super nice and did a great job- she took her time and even used a tweezer to capture a few stray hairs mIssed by the threading. I would say she spent 8 minutes or so vs the 3 minute job I usually get at Christina's, where some hairs get missed. I wish this location were closer to me- I would make it my new spot for sure. BEWARE!!! Don't take a chance with your face. ((Pics of BRUISING posted)) This place has always been hot or miss with threaders who don't listen to your request. I always clearly say "just clean them up. I like my brows thick and please don't thin the tail too much" Last night I got someone who didn't listen and my brows have been reshaped and thinned which I HATE. I am not sure if the thread is just CHEAP and not safe for skin because it kept breaking and I could feel her bruising my skin towards the end. It was swollen last night. I posted Pics of the bruising. Which is Terrible especially since my skin doesn't heel like Wolverines. The Worst part of this is he Manager/Owner. When the lady who did my brows went to her to get a refund. THIS WOMAN WHOSE BUSINESS I HAVE PAID MY MONEY FOR TWO YEARS DID NOT EVEN LOOK ME IN THE EYES OR APOLOGIZE she just signaled for her employee to give me the refund while she played on her phone and walked to the back. CLEARLY Designer Brows feel like people will patron their business anyway so customer service is not something we are worthy of because they are doing us favors. NEVER AGAIN. Love Designer Brows. I love designer brows based on price alone! For only $6 I get the same quality of threading that I use to pay double for at the threading places at the mall. I'm sad I didn't find this place sooner. The salon is a good size and they usually have around 4-6 people working whenever I go there. Not every person knows how to thread my brow the way that I like so I only go to two of the artist there. I do not know their names but know their faces. Finding the right artist for you is honestly trial and error. But this place is definitely a great find. read more

I have visited Designer Brows several times. I usually go during the week day, so there is hardly ever a wait. The customer service is great, and they want to make sure you are satisfied with their work before you leave. I first had my eyebrows threaded in NY several years ago, so I was very excited to find a threading shop close to where I live. They are conveniently located in a plaza with Best Buy and Panera Bread, so it's not like I have to go out of my way to find them. I can combine errands for the family, and sneak in some 'me' time. ;-) And it's a quick sneak, because my eyebrows are threaded and I'm out the door in less than 10 minutes. Oh, I almost forgot the most important part...it's only 6 bucks for eyebrow threading! Even with a 20% tip, I still come out paying less than I would if I'd gotten my brows waxed. Basically took off one of my brows completely. Not symmetrical at all. Went back to fix it and they said "we are booked can you wait" then when I said I would wait she said this basically takes one of there breaks away and I said like you basically took half my eyebrow off. Then I asked them asked to speak to the manager and they "were in a meeting" on a Saturday at 3:00 and could not come up to even speak with me. Disgusting lack of customer service. So I went and Mina did my eyebrows and did an awesome job! She was really sweet, and asked me what I wanted and made me check it out before she did the other eyebrow. Fast, perfect brows. $6 ain't askin much. I don't think they have the buy 10 get one free cards anymore, but I still have my old card and they stamp it. Even if the place is packed, you won't have to wait for more than 5 minutes because a lot of people have their favorite threader. If you have never had threading done, I highly recommend it. Needed to get my eyebrows threaded since they weren't "fleeky". The only good eyebrow threading place that I know of in the Raleigh/triangle area is Chandi's in Cary (where I used to go when I used to live in the area). I wasn't in the mood to drive all the way to Cary from North Raleigh just to get my eyebrows done, so I did some yelping and found Designer Brows! Thank goodness, I turned to Yelp because the staff at Designer Brows were so tentative and friendly. They're so accommodating and will get your eyebrows on fleek. It's been almost a month since I gotten my eyebrows and lips done and all the hairs are slowly growing back in now (amazing)! I think found my new brow place!!! I would prefer to keep this gem to myself but sub par brows are a sadness I wouldn't wish on anyone. So, if you haven't found a brow salon or stylist home then please try this place just once. It's not bad on price. Under 9$ for brows and they had 5 techs when I went on a Saturday evening around 5:30. I've paid way more for way less. Especially in Raleigh. They also do massages and some spa services but I couldn't stay long enough to peruse their full service list. I would definitely come back and see what else they offer. I wish they did nail services too but they do not. There is a nail salon next door but I don't know if they are associated with them. I found this place though a friend and went here for my first time to get my eyebrows done. I have very thick eyebrows so waxing doesn't just cut it. Since I first went there I have never gone anywhere else. They do a very precise job and have never not made my brows look flawless. So I decided to bail on my normal NC threading lady who makes my brows look "good / clean" to come to Designer Brows and see if I could find a new brow-lady to make my brows "WOW". I went to a lady in FL that made my brows look so good she basically changed my life - so I was hoping for that kind of experience today... It had so many 5 star reviews on Yelp! so I gave it a shot. I know threading hurts, but this lady _went_so_slowly_ that I felt her pulling _every_single_hair_. Not a great feeling. Took her like 15 minutes just to thread my brows bc she was pulling the hairs out _so_slowly_. Usually it takes less than 5 minutes at the other places I've been. I asked her to clean up my brows - and I said "I don't want them too thin, just clean." Oh she cleaned them up all right. Thinnest they've ever been. Also the most uneven they've ever been. And oh, she also missed some thick hairs so I'll have to go back and pluck those out. I had my mom with me who said "they look fine" before we left - she's a liar apparently bc my face looks all sorts of busted right now. Swollen, and it looks like my left eye is like halfway down my face bc that brow is so much thinner and higher. My eyes always water too much for me to actually judge my brows when I'm at the threading salon - and today the skin around them was much too swollen to actually judge my brows. (Side note: I normally don't get SWOLLEN... what are they doing at this place?!). Lessons learned: 1. Stick to your normal place if they do a half decent job. 2. Don't get your brows done the wknd before you start a new job and have picture day. (I'm the kind of person that when I get a bad haircut I can justify it with "it'll grow back"... But these damn brows are SO bad! And I'm extra upset at myself bc I have a big week next wk... My own fault. Grr.) 3. Trust no-one, not even your mom. This place was hopping with customers (I had to wait like 15 minutes to get threaded)... And has so many good reviews so I'm assuming they are normally a decent place... Maybe the lady I got was new? GARBAGE! Horror eyebrow experience!!! They accidently removed 2/3rds of my eyebrows when I just needed a clean up. I was distressed and crying. This place had been my go for many times before. Now they are absolute TRASH- AVOID AVOID AVOID! Save your money and save your brows!!! My sister had also accompanied me to have her eyebrows threaded and while she was waiting was asked again by the lady that had just done her brows if she wanted her brows done..she forgot whose brows she did..around 3 mins ago she had done my sisters brows.. Wtf?!!!! They don't care about their customers! My sisters brows were crooked and all jacked up like mine. We walked out horrified at our toothpick brows. Shrieking in frustration. I started going to Designer Brows when they first opened and I always thought they did a decent job and for a really good price, not eye popping wow damn my brows look amazing good but decent enough to where I looked presentable. But yesterday I went and got the young lady in the back in the shop and all I asked for was a clean up keep them thick and just make my right one a little square to match my left brow, simple right? Wrong! I should have known something was wrong when it took 20mins for a CLEAN UP! I looked in the mirror and forget about the whole square situation, both my brows were pencil then with my left noticeably thinner than the right. The manager came over and we talked and told her this is nothing what I asked for (just a simple clean up) my question was why did she take off so much hair for a clean up and I even showed a pic of the look i wanted. I was extremely confused, upset, and disappointed that I almost cried when I walked out the shop. She didn't charge me but told me to come back within 3-4 for weeks for them to fix it, fix it? I have been coming to this place for about a year now. I go there once a month to get a full facial threading, which includes the brows, hair line, upper lip and chin. I always go to the same girl there who does a phenomenal job every time. I recently started getting electrolysis on my upper lip, and part of the treatment requires that I not remove my upper lip hair via waxing/plucking/threading. In my last visit, I explained that to the owner there, a little old Asian lady, and asked if I can get adjustment on the price of the facial since it didn't include my upper lip anymore and BEFORE I even finished explaining, she shook her head and said no. She wasn't trying to listen at all. I tried to reason with her and told her I was a loyal customer, as was my mother and sister and a lot of my friends I recommended this place to, she adamantly refused to even negotiate or reason with me, saying the price is set and she 'can't change it'. I paid full price for a partial facial. I am not upset that she didn't knock off a few bucks, that's not the issue, but her attitude completely turned me off from returning to this place, even though the girl I go to does an amazing job on my face. Clearly, the owner doesn't give a crap about her customers, loyal or not, and she could care less whether you come back or not. I've been coming here for a year, and every time I come I pay $32 for a facial plus a 30% tip. Never again. She lost my business for sure, as well as my family and friends that go there regularly. I've been coming here to get my eyebrows shaped for a few months now. I decided to give it a try after reading great reviews about Bali. What a great leap of faith that was! I am EXTREMELY particular about my eyebrows and she gets it right every time. My eyebrows are always even with the perfect shape, size and density. And she actually listens to you and does them to YOUR liking. In comparison to waxing, less hairs will grow back and the prices are affordable. $6 is a great deal. I would normally pay $10+ for an eyebrow waxing at a nail salon. Bali does such a great job I end up tipping her difference. She's the best I don't know what I'd do if she left! read more
