Jennifer is the owner and I've been seeing her since the beginning. She is sweet and friendly. She has an eye for detail and takes time to understand her client's needs. Services are very relaxing with comfy chairs and music in the background. It's never been busy when I've visited, which I appreciate. All appointments can easily be booked online and there is tons of flexibility among the staff. There are several packages and specials available based on the service needed. Jessica was unprofessional. The following screenshots on my pictures of a long review that did not fit here. It's the whole story and I had to write it because I am left with no other way of getting a refund or getting my eyebrows or eyelashes fixed. Jessica took $660 plus $236 for eyebrows and eyelashes and did a horrible job and did not agree to redo it, blocked me and did not return my calls and her policy says no refunds. When I came to her appointment to redo my eyelashes she said that she canceled it, but she did not send me any notice about that. I wanted to update my review because after my first one, the owner did reach out me. I wanted to give it a 2nd try and so when Jessica offered a free set I did take her up on it. I arrived promptly for my appointment and Jessica was there and very polite. She had me lay on the chair and walked me through the process. This was my first time getting extensions and she did explain a lot of details to me. I appreciated all the tips. Inside there is a sitting area where people can wait, which was decorated in cute decor. The whole process took about 45 minutes and it was pretty relaxing. She played music which made the time go by. My only complaint is that if a teeny bit of glue gets in your eye it burns, but she was very careful about applying the eyelashes. To be honest, I think this probably happens every time people get extensions. My eyelashes look great and very natural. I hope they last 2-3 weeks! read more

Loved my lashes! Got exactly what I wanted and Jessica was so accommodating! She even stayed until my ride showed up because it was cold and dark even though she could have closed up and gone home early. I asked for dramatic but not crazy and got exactly what I wanted!! I finally made the decision to give eyelashes a try and after researching multiple technicians, I found Jessica! Her reviews were all amazing and although it was about an hour and a half haul drive for me, I figured it would be worth it. After contacting her to schedule an appointment I was amazed at how quickly she responded to me and continued to do every time I had questions prior to (which I had many)! Now, let me just say that the drive was totally worth it!!! Jessica not only did an amazing job but I appreciated how she walked me through the entire process, making me feel incredibly comfortable about my first experience with the lash procedure. I bought a groupon and when I called to make an appointment, Jessica told me that she was no longer taking any groupons, this is after I bought it a month ago, and told me to call groupon to get a refund and did not even bother to honor me the price already paid for it. I just participated in the best training class I've ever had! I'm so happy I found The Beauty Bar and owner Jessica Vines. She taught me everything about lash extensions this weekend and was so sweet, knowledgeable, and professional in every way. She pushes her students to work hard and do the best they can and is right beside you when you work on model to give advice, jump in to help, or just tell you some encouraging words. I've never written a Yelp review before so you know that I have to be super impressed by a business to write something. Besides being incredibly talented at eyelashes and eyebrow feathering (!!!), Jess is accommodating, clean, and professional. I had an issue with my eyebrow hair not growing in and when I found out Jess did eyebrow feathering, I got so incredibly excited and she fit me in the very next day since I was so eager. I constantly (really, almost daily) get compliments on my lashes! I'm originally from NYC and when I got them done there, they'd always come out clumpy and full of glue -- making it so my actual lashes would get ripped out -- but however Jess does it is magical. Seriously the best esthetician in the area. 10/10 (or 5/5 here). Prices are great too! read more

Highly recommend this place to everyone! I've been getting my eyelashes done for at least 4 years now, both in Raleigh and in Miami, FL and I absolutely love the way Jessica does lashes, she's the best person to go to in Raleigh for them. I have gotten my lashes done here around 5 times and I get compliments from everyone for how natural and beautiful my lashes look every time. She is always extremely nice, accommodating to schedules and a true professional. She will listen to how you would like your lashes to look and customize them to what you like, she even starts out and shows you how they come out to see if you would like more dramatic lashes added or not, most places only have one method or one style they apply so this is a huge plus! On top of that, all her products are top quality, I have sensitive skin and sometimes have bad reactions to the glue other places use on their lashes, but have never had a bad reaction when Jessica does my lashes.
