So glad I found Mina's! I'm so particular when it comes to threading and my brows. There was a wait which is always a good sign. $6 eyebrow threading- awesome prices! They have a gentle touch which I appreciate. After the threading they ask if you want lotion, which is a quick massage on the temple. I would typically get my eyebrows f done here, the quality of the eyebrows being done in the beginning were amazing. They tailored to make my eyebrows look as requested. in the past couple of months this quality has declined, specifically in the last 7 months I've been 3 times and all 3 times my eyebrows were not done as requested. they were made much thinner than my liking even though before they did them I would specifically tell them I wanted them thick and showed them areas not to remove and showed picture as an example. All in all it's not bad but now they tend to be heavy handed on threading more eyebrow than requested which I do not enjoy. read more

I am from Houston and recently relocated to NC for work. I was extremely hesitant to try out a threading place as I've had some mess ups before. I saw the reviews and thought this would be a great choice. I was seen very quickly and explained to the woman that I like to keep my eyebrows thick and very rectangular on the front. She assured me she could do this and said "yes a clean up." She threaded my eyebrows and trimmed them and when she gave me the mirror to check, I told her I could see that the front of my eyebrows were not straight, they looked curved. To this she said I needed to grow out the front of my eyebrows. I will attach a photo of how I typically get my eyebrows done back in Houston. As you can see- I have plenty of eyebrow hair and do not need to grow anything out. I showed her which hairs were missed and asked her to please make them straight. I also pointed out that there was a small section of hair that needed to be trimmed as my eyebrows looked like there was an odd curve right past the very front. She giggled and said okay. She did try to fix the front of my eyebrows, but when it came to trimming them, I saw her pull out regular scissors (yes, the kind you cut paper with). I jerked back and said no no no, I will just fix them myself. Those are not eyebrow scissors. She laughed and I walked straight to the counter to check out. I understand people make mistakes, but any serious eyebrow threader would NEVER use regular scissors as they are angled and now seeing which ones she used, there is no way she would be able to trim them straight with those. I paid the $8 and walked out and will not be returning. If you do choose this place, check to see that they are using the proper tools and definitely ask to see the progress. read more

I used to go to Reet all the time but when she left I switched to Mina and she is just as good. I love going to this shop for my eyebrows to get threaded and tinted. Mina and team does such a great job. It is always clean and you don't have to wait long. They are pretty quick but not sloppy. Very unprofessional people. I had an appointment for facial and Neelam was preparing for my facial appointment. She said the aesthetician did not come and that she can do it. I tried to make her understand with different words like 'breakouts', 'Acne', 'pimples', 'sensitive skin' and she understood NONE of them!! Neelam kept saying even if aesthetician arrives later (she had no idea when) she has other appointments and I don't understand why exactly is my appointment so unimportant? I ran without having a facial at the hands of this lady and this unprofessional place. Because they mostly do eyebrow threading this place is surviving or would be closed by now. And you also have " mask mandatory" sign outside and you don't have the guts to tell these people to wear one. read more

I love coming here and Mina does a great job but one of the other women doesn't do as well and Im constantly left with tiny bleeding wounds that she didnt bother cleaning before applying tint and I just felt stinging while she was doing it. Didnt do a terrible job but this has happened a couple of times now where im left with bleeding little spots where she over plucked or was too rough on my eyebrows. Ask for Mina! read more

I am a guy who occasionally needs help getting his eyebrows fixed so he doesn't look like Anthony Davis (Goggle him and beware). I had an amazing place in the old city I lived in where an amazing Vietnamese lady waxed my brows with vigor. She would get every strand of hair before she let me go. I always took it as her taking pride in her work. When I came in to Mina's I was really hoping that I would get service that was similar. I was a bit disappointed. I asked for a wax and in about 3 minutes she pulled me up and showed me a mirror. It wasn't shaped too well and there were some hairs left that needed plucking or waxing. I told Mina and I went back down and she began threading. She took away my threading virginity, but I didn't ask for threading. I like waxing and she mentioned while she was threading how it was better for your skin and etc. It was a bit of a sales job on something I didn't want. After a couple of times coming up and asking for some adjustments I went to pay and I was charged $8 instead of the $5 it should have been. Now $3 dollars isn't too big of a deal, but I asked for waxing because that is what I know. I didn't ask nor want the threading so I was bit disappointed to be charged for it. Is my eyebrow game on point after this? Yeah it is. But I definitely have to say that when you charge someone for something they did not ask for that is a big no no so I am left with a sour taste in my mouth. read more

This place is just around the corner from my house, in a small shopping plaza that you could drive right by and not even notice. I go in about every 3 weeks or so to get my eyebrows threaded and they do a wonderful job. It doesn't hurt like other places I've been to and the service is really great. I even like the tiny massage they give my temples at the end when applying lotion/witch hazel to my fresh new eyebrows. Appointments aren't necessary unless you need an extensive list of things done and they close late which is great for those who get off work at 5:30. $6 for eyebrow threading and they accept cards but for $1 fee under $10. I always just bring cash and leave a tip in cash as well. read more

I went to 2 other places before I found Mina. After moving from Florida and leaving my awesome threader, I was desperate to find someone I could trust with my brows. I'm so glad I found Mina's, because so won't go anywhere else. Mina is professional and awesome at what she does. She is flawless with her technique and it's truly a painless experience. I've gone to some threaders who have been extremely painful. The salon is located in a strip mall. There is plenty of parking. The salon is super clean. The cost of all services are very affordable (I've only done my brows). You can usually walk-in with little to no wait. I usually call in advance if I have a chance and schedule an appointment, but I've also walked in and haven't had to wait long. I actually was in desperate need of a clean-up over the weekend and Mina wasn't in. I was a bit hesitant, but I went with one of the other women that was working that day (I didn't get her name), but she was just as good. The wait was about 20 minutes, but it was worth it.
