Super responsive and awesome work. Called Ron on Monday gates installed and done before noon Wednesday. Gates look great and seem heavy duty. I would absolutely recommend Ron, he's friendly and fast. He gave me a quote over the phone and also reaffirm that quote when he came in person. He was able to install new gates within a couple of days. Recently widen our RV gate and Ron followed up when he said he would and got the stucco guy to come out (even though it was a new contractor for him) when planned and he did a great job on the stucco. The gate looks great and Ron's pricing was very fair. read more

Had an old side yard gate that wouldn't open or close properly anymore, had the owner Ron come and take a look and we decided the best course of action was to take out the equally broken block wall and turn it into an RV gate. Everything was measured and custom built for the space, and 48 hours later I had a brand new gate perfectly installed. Excellent craftsmanship and Ron was very professional. My wife loves that we can now use our gate again! I would highly recommend Ron and Designer Gates for any and all of your gate needs. read more

They had two fencing companies who I lined up to do estimates and then I also picked two off of Yelp. Aldo Fabrication was not one of the PORA recommendations and was the lowest bid by far... and I initially had concerns thinking if I went with them, I might suffer from the old adage "you get what you pay for". That's not to say it wasn't expensive, because it was, but the other three were quite a bit higher. My contact was Jessica. I had two ideas for how to place the fence in my backyard. She completely understood my vision and measured accurately for each idea. She let me know that they would be super careful about utilities and have a locator come out to make sure we were safe. I was also concerned about my sprinkler lines because I do not have a plat showing where any they are. She assured me they would use care when placing posts. Jessica and every who worked on my fence at Aldo Fabrication did everything as promised in a very timely manner. The fence is beautiful and sturdy and they obviously did not cut any corners at all. Both gates swing open easily and latch securely. After the fence was installed, all weld marks and caps were painted and scratches were touched up. There is just nowhere that could've been improved upon. I'm literally blown away how the other three companies I requested estimates from are charging one and a half times what Aldo Fabrication charged to build this fence. Aldo request requested half of the cost of the fence upfront and the other half at completion and upon my complete satisfaction. They also offered a discount for cash. Finally, my neighbors remarked how the fence builders were as quiet and unobtrusive as possible. I found them to be very friendly and polite. The fence is EXACTLY what I wanted at a very fair price... and not a single elusive sprinkler line was hit! Thank you Jessica and Aldo Fabrication!

The gates were done right, which gave a boost to my ego as my neighbors asked about my beautiful "new" gates. :) For those who are more technical or want more detail...here it is. The original wood slats of my gates were installed by the builder. Unless you have a custom home, chances are, those original wood slats are just not meant to last. I started a bid to either replace the gates or just change out the wood slat (to composite wood). Most of the vendors rather just change out the whole gate with preinstalled composite wood slats and do not bother with swapping the wood slats. In many cases, it is necessary to change out the entire gate. Ryan, however, is the only vendor who offered me with both choices - rehab the gate or change it out. Yes, he can do both. I am cheap so I went with the most economical method - rehab. After he is done, the gates look like new, and function like new. In fact, my landscaper thought I got a brand double gate, he couldn't tell this was a refreshment because in addition to the new composite wood slat (which will last a long time) the bolts & nuts are new, and the coating is new. We got one minor problem a month later - The composite wood slats, just like many other materials out there, contrasted and started to curve out (some worse than the others). Ryan came back out and adjusted it, no problem at all. This tells me he can be trusted and he stands behind his work even for a small job like mine. I would recommend Ryan to anyone who wants quality gate work done at a fair price.

I explained the situation to Response Crew and I was relieved to receive reassurances from the manager of Response Crew that he'd send one of his best door guys out and that we would not be disappointed. The manager also called back twice to make sure we were happy with the job. Although I missed those voice messages I figure posting about my experience here will make up for that. It's always tough when you are trying to hang a new door on an old frame that may not be perfectly straight anymore. And yes only time will tell if the fit holds. Ron was responsive to my inquiry and gave me a quote that was comparable to the other company I had reached out to. His quote was slightly more expensive than the other company I connected with, but his customer service led me to go with him. He called me the week after the initial quote to make sure I didn't have any further questions and always took my calls. I have been doing house projects all summer, so I told him the new gate I needed was probably something I wouldn't buy for a month and he held the original quoted price the whole time.
