Just had my gate installed by Tim and his wonderful wife Carol. They were great throughout the process offering a consultative approach for a pretty small custom gate. The prior gate was the original gate from when the house was built in 1980 so it needed an upgrade. Needless to say I decided to move forward with Just Gates LLC based on the response time and ability to customize the gate to my liking. Competitors didn't offer privacy straps or the customization that Just Gates had. They did a fantastic job. Next time I won't even waste the time speaking with other companies. Very rude people. We had everything just about wrapped up for the quote when I asked a couple of questions for clarity - he saw I had another quote and insisted I tell him who it was from, when I refused he snapped, "fine, we're done here, we are not your people, they are." They stomped away. They never stopped at my neighbors to give them a quote as promised either, cited "an emergency". They lost two jobs in a matter of seconds. Who are they to think people don't have the right to get more than one quote. Seems pretty arrogant if you ask me. I would not recommend them. read more

I even asked Tim to fabricate a small steel frame that I am now using for a decorative bridge across a dry stream bed. Everything snapped together perfectly. I have never left a negative review in my life, this company is literally THAT BAD, that I felt a responsibility to write this. I reached out to Just Gates a week ago and asked for a quote on my RV Gates. The owner , Carol, said she "might" have time The following day (Saturday) to come by, but said she would let me know. Good Great Grand Wonderful. So, Saturday comes around, haven't heard from Carol, no big deal . I'm out with my family and all the sudden I get a call, it's Carol, and she says she's out front of my house. Weird? I was a bit thrown off and I think she could tell due to the confusion in my voice. So she immediately says "I'm sorry, I realized earlier I was calling the wrong number and leaving messages on the wrong voicemail. But we are here". Mmmmmm-k? To this day I still don't know if I'm upset with her pathetic excuse, or impressed she had the ball sacs to use it on a new customer.. I think I'm a little bit of both. Moving on. So I explained that I was out with my family, and due to her not calling ahead of time, I couldn't get there to meet her. I gave her permission to measure the gates and take photos without us there, she did, and she said I'd get my quote on Friday of the following week (today). I had gotten quotes from 2 other gate companies that ran numbers and gave me a quote on the spot (I always get three quotes prior to making large purchases) , so I thought a week was steep, but due to some of the positive reviews I read I decided to go along with it. Today rolls around and I get an email from Carol stating "due to unforeseen circumstances, my quote will hopefully be ready on 8/25".. which is over a week away. I replied to her email pointing out the fact that I've seen previous reviews call out the fact that her company is wish washy with timelines and commonly fails to complete things when they say they will. I informed her that her services are no longer needed etc. I then fired that sucker off to her and thought that would be it ‍ This is where this company went from being "wish washy" to "complete shit show" in 2.5 seconds. Carol literally replied back stating .. and I quote.. "We are sorry you feel that way. Would you mind forwarding those bad reviews . We are so busy we haven't been able to follow up with reviews". . Carol (idk why I keep saying her name, I think it just reminds me of all the carol memes out there.. they have all the sudden become relatable) LITERALLY asked me to send her over her OWN COMPANIES REVIEWS cause she's just that busy. The worst part?? I fuckin' did it!! . Anyways , I digress. If I could give this company negative stars, I would. Tim came to my home to give me an estimate on 2 new backyard gates. [My husband had built ours more than 30 years ago out of Redwood & with the sprinkler system hitting them for the past 25 yrs. they were literally falling apart]. I had researched gate builders for months, when I happened across 'Just Gates'. [I had Lowes out to give me an estimate a couple of months ago & was not happy. They would be just 5 ft. tall which would have reduced my privacy by a foot]. After reading reviews & looking at pictures, I felt confident this was the company I wanted to build my new custom built gates. They were installed today & to say I am pleased is an understatement. They are so well built & beautiful. The cost? Around the same that Lowes was going to charge for a prebuilt frame that didn't fit. Called this morning and left a message that I wanting to go to their office to look at pictures and pricing on an RV gate. Just received several texts from Carol saying they do not have a showroom to visit. Just Gates only offers "on-site" visits by both Tim and Carol. She refused my request to send pictures of standard RV gates they make nor would she give me a price range of what they charge for a simple 12 foot RV gate. Their policy is to not reveal any price range of their products unless it is in person at my home. I'm surprised and disappointed...and now wary. read more

I requested a quote to replace my RV gate and Carol responded promptly via email stating that I was on a wait list of a few weeks out. They only do estimates on Saturdays. Was really looking forward to getting a quote but never received a text or email of them coming by or wanting to schedule to come by. This was in April and it's now Sept. I have since hired someone else. They should have hired an extra employees to do estimates when they started getting a week backlog. read more

Our side gate was in horrible condition with the bolts no longer staying in the cinderblock wall, cracking and peeling paint, and rotting wood. It took two people just to open or close it. After discovering a new gate could cost thousands, my husband and I decided to live with it since we couldn't afford to replace it. Eight years later we decided it was time, however during my research to find a company to do the job I found Just Gates. It had never occurred to me that the gate could be repaired, so I decided to call. After I described the dimensions and composition of my gate, Tim quoted a price over the phone of less than $250. This stunned me. For that amount of money, my husband and I figured if it worked, we would save a ton of money, and if it didn't we wouldn't be out that much. Tim came to my home prior to the installation to measure and fully assess the job. He confirmed the price and appointment time. The work took several hours and when he completed his work my gate looked BRAND NEW. You would never know it was the same gate. Now it works perfectly and I am SO pleased with the value and outstanding workmanship provided by Just Gates. My only regret is that I didn't find them sooner. read more
